This is such a gorgeous electric wine opener. You can tell the quality of it just by holding it in your hand. All of the pieces are made with high-quality metal and plastic. And it’s actually pretty quiet. This is perfect for someone with arthritis or carpal tunnel issues also

Nice electric corkscrew but prefer my manual RBT opener
This is a very nice heavyweight electric corkscrew. It's sleek looking and it would probably make a nice gift for someone who struggles with opening wine bottles. I found the directions lacking, there should be clearer instructions for use of the product. I still prefer to use my manual RBT cork puller, I find it quicker and easier all around.

Always needs to be charged
This looks great, is sleek and blend in nicely on our bar… but, I wouldn’t seek this product out again for gift giving. The instructions aren’t that great but we were able to figure it out quickly enough. The issue I have is that it doesn’t hold a charge. I feel like I’m constantly having to pull out the charger and charge this! The charging cord deters from the sleek vibe so I wish it used classic batteries. Overall, it’s not bad it’s just more pretty than it is functional for our purposes.

Very nice looking, but does not hold much of a charge
An electric bottle opener is a bit of a splurge and is also another thing that takes space on the countertop or bar cart, but I wanted to give it a go since I like my wine toys. The design is very nice. Most of these electric openers look cheap and really take away from an elegant countertop or bar, but this unit does not. The marble base would look nice on any countertop or in any bar. The opener is a nice weight and feels good in hand. The textured metal finish is very nice and classy with an overall sleek and sexy design. Opening a bottle is easy enough with it and it is great for those with arthritis or weak hands that my struggle with traditional corkscrews. The main drawback to this product is that the opener (or at least the one I received) quickly runs out of battery. I can barely open one bottle before I have to recharge it. I suppose this may be okay if you always keep it on its charging base, but I would prefer to not have a cord going across my countertop or bar cart all the time. The packaging is sufficient but not all that fancy or nice if you are gifting. I'm okay with this since I prefer things that are not over-packaged, where I am feel like I just spent a lot on fancy a lot on materials that will be thrown away anyway. Hopefully the unit that I received has a faulty battery and other purchasers have better luck with their rechargeable battery life.

Super cool…for the right person
This corkscrew opener will have you drinking more wine just to use the opener! It really is super cool. Now for the reality check. Unless you really need this gadget (which I clearly do), it is a rather expensive toy. Using my foil cutter and traditional corkscrew is not really a problem so I find it hard to recommend this to the average wine drinker. However, there are a few exception. If you are someone who frequently holds parties or have a business with social gatherings, this opener can make a lot of sense. It is quick, quiet, and efficient. The second group are those who just seem to never quite get the manual corkscrew right and end up with broken corks. This can be a good option for them too. Along those same lines, there are those who simply find that removing the corks takes a bit more fínese than they typically have available, again, this is a good option for them. If you have elderly parents or friends, this could be a good gift for them if they are even the least bit tech savvy Finally there is my category. If you are a gadget person and enjoy the latest in technology and/or making life even more easy and like to have conversation starters, this could be for you as the price may not be too high for a gadget person. Pros: Easy to use, efficient, cool. Cons: Price, storage I took off one star for the price but for many it may require taking off more stars and for some it will be a 5 star. It is all subjective to cost verses need ratio.

Not as well designed as it could be
I was quite disappointed in this wine opener. It could be so much better than it is! Things that should be better designed: #1 The foil cutter should be incorporated into the design. I have a similar wine opener and the foil cutter fits onto the top of the opener. That means it is (and this opener could be but isn't) all one piece and is not something else to take up space and not something to lose track of when you need it most. #2 It should be battery powered and not require a stand and a plug to charge it up. My other opener is battery powered and even with use a couple times a week (at least) the batteries last over a year. Why should I have to keep track of a charger -- even a pretty one -- and have a plug available for the wine opener. Plus it is just too much counter clutter. I think the idea of a wine opener is VERY giftable but I would not give this one. There are others out there that are much better. This one does the job but in a clumsy/cluttered manner that could be all incorporated into one piece for easy storage and use.

Powerful, effortless and giftable
I love drinking wine but I used to feel very frustrated when I tried to unscrew the cork. Now everything changed once I got this RBT Electric Corkscrew Wine Opener! It's really easy and effortless! Just place the corkscrew device on top of the bottle and press the button, the corkscrew will automatically go into the cork. Once it stops then press the button again and it will then lift the cork up and out off the bottle. Very efficient and impressive! I like its marble charging base as well. After finishing the job, just put the corkscrew back on top of the base then it will be charging as long as the base has been connected to the power, so convenient! You know, it's very important to keep the opener fully charged! My first impression is that the design is very simple but elegant. I am sure the people will be glad to receive this as a present! The one thing I don't like about the item is the instructions as it was difficult to follow. Instead, I ditched the instructions and just tried to use it based on my previous experience with other brands of wine cork openers, and it works well. Last thing, the price is a little bit pricey. All in all, I definitely recommend it!
