defective product that broke almost immediately

I installed this yesterday on an American Standard toilet (which it was supposed to fit per instructions). It was difficult to install because the ball at the end of the chain was too large to fit through the hook once the hook was placed, and the hook was not easily expandable after it was inserted into the lever that attaches to the toilet handle. I eventually had to use pliers to compress the chain ball so it would fit through. Within 24 hours, the chain itself broke down lower near to the float cylinder. This item is cheaply made and not dependable. Good luck if you need one like it to fit your toilet.

This junk is a bad joke

With this (junk ) you can spend all your time fixing your toilet, this chain only lasts a few months then it breaks. I have never spent so much of my time dealing with junk! The Chinese were sending spy ballons to check our landfills, the junk they make. Goes there after we spend our money on them...Ace hardware carries the same junk...God Bless America, but can you tell me where it's gone?

Essential item for an American Standard flush valve repair!

This item is a critical element in repairing the flush valve when the chain breaks! Hard to find in most hardware stores! Happy that Amazon carries it!

Toilet Saver

It works!

Easy to install. Basically just replace what’s there already, it’s not brain surgery. Like other reviewers, not sure what the little hooky thing is for though... I’m sure someone out there has needed it though.
