Two piece install and requires extra work to make stable

The base comes with two bolts to put heavy metal pieces together, which in my opinion is a design flaw. The two pieces need to lock together tightly to stand upright and support heavy mailbox. It’s very weak at the joining bc the pipe only goes in about a half inch and is hound with two very small bolts. I added two more by drilling more holes and also filled post with concrete about half way up. Problem solved, but shouldn’t really have to do this for the cost of the post!

Poorly designed

Pros: Looks great when built, good customer service - quick to respond and send replacement parts Cons: The unit has several design flaws that are a serious problem. 1) The pole comes in two pieces and you bolt it together with 3 lag screws. This creates a weak point that likely will fail in time as it gets stressed, especially in climates where snow plows throw street snow at it during the winter months. Should have included the pole as one piece. 2) The mailbox support comes in two halves and they give you 4 pieces of rubber to insert between that and the pole when assembling it and the 8 screws that bolt it all together and hold it onto the pole. Holding all that together on your own is nearly impossible. First, this is another poor design as the rubber inserts are not thick enough to hold the mailbox support securely on their own - the support will move left and right. I ended up ordering some thicker neoprene rubber strips on Amazon to replace what they included which works better but the design in inherently flawed and will likely not hold up to the weather and plowing of snow in the winter. Also these rubber inserts should have been fastened to the pieces at the factory to make it easier to assemble. Better yet, redesign it completely. 3) the skirt at the bottom is made of cheap plastic that will fade in a season. They also designed the screw insert hole so impossibly deep it takes quite a lot of trial and error before you can get them to catch because the screws are in so far you can't really negotiate them by hand and have to rely on your screwdriver to accidentally align them correctly. In summary - although it looks good now in summer as assembled - I don't expect the product to last very long and will likely be replacing it again next season. Don't waster your money or time on this one.

UNIQUE VINTAGE

I'm really happy with the Post but be sure not to dig down 12 inches or it will be to short. We had to add an extension with solar light on top. Looks really nice.

Good customer service

It went together fairly easily. I did encounter an issue with the cast aluminum arm cracking at one of the screw holes during assembly, which meant the arm wasn't very tightly clamps around the pole. Architectural Mailboxes sent me a replacement arm promptly.

It’s plastic! Not metal! Very low quality! Don’t recommend!

Bottom part is not metal! It is plastic. Really disappointed. Never trust Made in China Very low quality! Don’t recommend!
