Looks very authentic and professional
The media could not be loaded. I love it no more worries about having anyone come up to my door to steal my packages. They are safe inside the locked mailbox. I purchased a sign that has all the carriers names on it and riveted it to the front. Now just got to get them to put it inside and not on top or on the side of it. Guess they can't read the sign lol. I also purchased a locking mailbox for my letters. For USPS to place inside seems like they did not want to use the elephant mailbox but oh well they look great together. Every time I hear about people losing their packages to porch pirates I wonder why they just dont get a Elephant box. It's a little pricey but well worth it , makes up for all the packages you would have lost if you didn't have one in no time. Don't wait just get one everyone should have one easy to secure down to the ground mine is sitting on my porch that is cement just need the correct size masonry bit to drill into concrete a regular drill bit will not work. Mine is as sturdy as a rock and everyone who comes over to visit complement's me about the way it looks. I will take a pic and show you or a video.

Must need if you're dealing with theft
I had two packages stolen in the same month by different people. Installed this guy and placed it next to my front door. Added special delivery instructions for Amazon and most of my packages make it into the locker. I feel so much more safe and haven't dealt with any issues since I've installed this almost 6 months ago. Definitely a great investment.

Very nice
I travel for work and rarely home so needed a Mailbox that could good good amount of mail safely and securely so this box should help. Unless someone with a tool breaks into it...... will see lol. The red flag didn't come with it had to get that separate. I'm gonna get it mounted and start using this box soon. I wish it came with a post to make it taller but I'll figure something out.... used 4x4 to make it taller will see how it holds up against wind

Great for small packages and mail
I do like this mailbox. So do my mail lady????. I use it for small packages and mail. But I would advise to find a better way to secure it down. My mailbox sits at the beginning of my driveway so we had to use concrete but I like it.

Nice box, but lock is garbage
I wish I’ve read all the reviews before buying. Box is OK itself, but the lock is useless garbage. Broke after about 6 months of use. Now I’ve got to figure out the way to replace the lock. Beware

Happy we got this Elephantrunk mail/parcel box
For the price this thing is hard to beat. The instructions say that this is for parcels only and not for letters etc., but for us it's our new rural mailbox for all mail items, and it's been working great for that. Lubed the lock (including the keyhole) and related moving parts with some good garage door lube since it's not a heavy duty mechanism as others have pointed out. Will probably do that every few months for good measure. There are some small holes on the bottom near each of the leg holes, and also by the center bolt hole, that may be there for drainage, but they look like they might be causing some of the moisture issues that some people have run into and may give us problems with snow if nothing else, so I filled them with silicone. Also put some silicone in all of the bottom corners, even though the outside of that part of the box looks to be sealed well. Still need to run some silicone around the leg bolts/holes inside on the bottom. The rest of the box looks pretty watertight, but I might line the bottom-door frame with some thin sticky-backed window/door insulation strips just in case, provided I can do it without hindering the closing/locking of the door. Maybe the people who have complained about moisture get sideways rainstorms that spray water in from the top drawer or something, but we luckily don't get that kind of weather very often. Also put some threadlock on the handle screws to keep them from loosening.

See Photos - Excellent secure small package & large mail volume option for Rural & Urban locations
We needed a secure, larger mail/parcel box to take/hold deliveries at our rural location - but this product is also suitable for urban/suburban applications. It must be bolted down securely for security and safety. We experienced NONE of the manufacturing defect or product issues that a few reviewers experienced. Note: This box was purchased in late 2017 and just installed (Apr 2019) concurrent with a new driveway apron/culvert replacement project. This product is made from cast and/or rolled aluminum, and steel. Our Installation/Modifications: We installed the Elephant trunk parcel drop on a 16 inch tall aluminum mailbox pedestal to raise the bottom of door opening to 42 inches above grade/ground/road (pls see USPS guidelines below). We relocated the flag from our prior mailbox to the Elephant Trunk as this product does NOT include a mail pickup flag. Please see Amazon links below for the pedestal we used/adapted, and a new flag you can purchase if you need one. *** The height range required for USPS rural mail carriers [bottom of rural mailboxes can be a) no lower than 41 inches, and b) no higher than 45 inches from ground level]*** All new hardware or relocated hardware was spray-painted a matte brown to match the new Elephant Trump product. Our Mounting Requirements: We purchased a four foot long threaded rod (and three bolts (one for mounting and two for fender bolt anchor to imbed in concrete), and one fender washer for it) and four ½ inch diameter foundation “J-bolts” which we all embedded in the concrete support pad for the pedestal for the Elephant Trunk box. We passed the threaded rod through the center of the pedestal in the existing holes and bolted it into the center base hole of the Elephant Trunk, in place of the included ground level mounting bolt/threaded hand knob (which includes a concrete mounting anchor if you need it, we did not use this and the threaded handle knob did not match up to out threaded rod. ). We also cut and painted four spacers from 1” PVC schedule 40 pipe, and bought 4 extended nuts and bolts to mount the pedestal to four holes we drilled in the recessed bottom areas of the Elephant Trunk (because it has a downward protruding base center for the center threaded ground mounting bolt/rod). An absolutely functional, eye-appealing, sturdy mail/parcel drop box
On a positive note, our postal service delivered the package to our front door and waited for a response before lifting the parcel down from the delivery truck, and carried it to my front door for me (with a smile, so kudos to them). Delivery was in a very timely and professional manner. The Elephantrunk Parcel Drop Box arrived in a carefully packaged corrugated cardboard box with protective packaging on the interior of the parcel, in excellent condition. The craftsmanship of the Elephantrunk Parcel Drop Box exceeds all expectactions, it is sturdy, user friendly and the black satin finish is much better in person. It certainly adds to curb appeal and serves it's purpose well as a mailbox and parcel delivery box. To assist in the transition from my usual wallmounted mailbox, I have posted a typed instruction for use notice and covered my mailbox completely with this notice, so that the letter carriers will know that ALL delivery mail and parcels are to be placed inside the Elephantrunk. Conversely, although we have had no issues with mail delivery into our very spacious, sponge-lined Elephantrunk, two very small packages that AMAZON has delivered to our home have both been dropped on the front doorstep, despite the fact that any delivery person must pass by our Elephantrunk and the mail/parcel instruction notice in order to reach our front door. Since the height of the Elephantrunk is lower than our standard mailbox height, we have bolted it to 8" x 8" concrete Cinder Blocks for added security, and for ease of access. As such, although the pre-drilled bolt at the base of the trunk is suffice, it is positioned at the centerpoint of the trunk base. This mounting option is great for ground mounting, however, it would be nice to have had the option to anchor to the back legs as well for added stability when mounting on raised platforms to meet mail/parcel delivery box height standards. Overall, we are extremely pleased with our purchase and we most certainly recommend the Elephantrunk Parcel Drop Box as an addition to any home or business for added piece of mind that delivered mail and parcels will be stored safely and securely until you are able to retrieve them.

Superb mailbox for the online shopping age
I love the Elephantrunk, a lot. Not as much as my wife and kids but not far behind! We previously had a naff small metal mailbox on the wall in our porch and it was really easy to squeeze your hand in and get the mail without unlocking it. Added to this we buy most of our 'must-have' purchases online and we were getting fed up of wondering if we'd be in when they were delivered....so I wanted to get something which was big, strong and would take mail and parcels. There are quite a few options on the market but none that look as good or as designed as well as this. Yes it's more than a ton to buy but how much do you spend online or even on the weekly supermarket trip? It's well packaged, has simple instructions and took less than half an hour to get in-place. The anchor bolt through the bottom is extremely sturdy and I'm confident that it would withstand all but a determined angle-grinder attempt to try and nick it - but it isn't a safe, and we might notice if someone tried to power-tool it out! Remember to make sure you have a decent 16mm masonry or wood drill bit to make the hole for the anchor fitting. The drop-box part of it is really well designed, strong and feels well-engineered. The lock seems capable enough and certainly would again take some (obvious) effort and noise to try and get through. Takes loads of parcels and mail and has a great sponge in the bottom to soften landings. Also has a bar code inside the drop-box which I guess could be scanned if proof of delivery is needed - we added a label with our name and address on as well. Bumped into the postman this morning who had just put two hefty parcels through it. I asked him if it was alright and he said 'fantastic, I wish everyone had one!' - says it all really! Buy it you won't regret it!

Sturdy Dropbox that looks good
I like this box but I wish it could accommodate larger packages. I have mine sheltered so I’m rather optimistic that packages will be protected. The build quality is good but the lock door and lock feel a bit flimsy All in all, a good product that could use more space an heavier sheet metal.

Well made product, easy to use unless you're a parcel delivery driver.
The product is well made and performs as described. I installed mine under the front porch, slightly cut into the hedge to appear less bulky. I've had no issues with water or damp whatsoever. The hopper got forced due to a parcel being forced into it and jumped a tooth on the mechanism. I fixed it by inserting a wide chisel between the hopper and the side casing and eased it back into the correct position. The biggest issue I have had is trying to get Amazon and other parcel delivery services to use it. I had vinyl lettering made to denote it's for parcels and I updated my delivery instructions for drivers to use it but they don't. Amazon also has a habit of packaging a toothbrush in a box fit for a suitcase, so they're too big to fit in it. In summary, great product but it's not idiot proof. I bought the box from Amazon, bought the lettering through Amazon but Amazon choose not to use it. Weapons Grade stupidity and laziness.

High quality, secure, attractive, well-built, and capacious.
This mailbox looks great, has a well-built mechanism for allowing large bundles of mail to be securely deposited, and has the capacity to store large amounts of mail for when one has to be out-of-town for extended periods. The only minor fault is the cheap lock which not only is probably not a secure as one might like, it is finicky and hard to use. Would be a vast improvement if a few more dollars were to be spent to source a quality lock mechanism.
