Works with ALL modern WiFi compatible Hunter fans

Not only for Casablanca fans. If you have any Hunter fan that is WiFi capable then this will work. If you have a Non-WiFi Hunter fan or even a Non-Hunter fan, then simply purchase the controller (little box with wires) separately, then open up your fan where it's mounted to the ceiling, disconnect all the electrical wiring connected to your fan and connect the electrical wiring to the controller first, then connect the controller wiring to your fan's wiring. Once you're ready to pair this wall remote with your fan, just turn off the electrical breaker to your fan. Wait about 10 seconds, then turn the breaker back on. Now within 3 minutes, go near your fan and hold the wall remote LIGHT button and FAN button simultaneously and hold them pressed until you hear a beep from your fan. Now let go of the buttons. That's it, you're paired and this wall remote should work now.

Be careful if you have multiple Hunter/Casablanca remote control fans in your home

I will absolutely change my rating if someone is able to tell me how to prevent one wall remote control from controlling multiple fans in my home. I have 3 Hunter Avia 59234 in my bedrooms. I actually bought 3 of these wall controls. I would be ecstatic if I could only get one to work properly. It seems these remotes only have one frequency, unlike the handheld remotes which have individual codes I have tried multiple sequences with resetting, turning on/off power, install batteries, etc. and nothing is working. 2 of the fans on on the same circuit and one is on a separate circuit. So my suggestion, is if you have only one newer Hunter/ remote fan in your home, and this remote is compatible, it's great. Buy it. I was pondering fishing 14-3 romex from the fan down to the switch as I only have 14-2 now, so I was excited with this remote option, since these bedrooms get little to very little use...but that may have changed I actually like the functionality. It's a clean install, looks good on the wall and I think the quality is good. Like others, the concern is having to pull the remote completely out of the wall to change batteries...but think about it, the batteries will probably last for years with just moderate use...just like a tv or garage remote. I like that I don't have to use the enclosed wall plate and use my own Decora wall plate that is common throughout my entire home. Will be returning 2 of 3 remotes. Update: I've changed my rating from 2 to 4. Would actually give it 5 stars if Casablanca/Hunter didn't have their heads in the ground... just put out the instructions with a complete manual online instead of being told "Call us". It probably would avoid returns, bad reviews and increased sales...God forbid. I can't be the only person in this world who has multiple Hunter fans in their home compatible with this control who wants to control one fan with one control. Anyway, I'm ecstatic at this point and was dancing in the hallway. I was actually able to program each control with each fan individually...thanks to the advice to "unpair" each control after "pairing"...it didn't work the first time but kept at it. I was actually suprised I was able to get the third control to pair so quickly with the 3rd fan...as that fan is on a circuit with another fan and Casablanca Remote. Again, I'm happy with the quality of the control. I don't find the "cheapness" that some people talk about. I just replaced all the switches in my home with 70 Lutron switches and Leviton outlets, so I have an idea of quality. I like being able to use regular Decora covers instead of the one supplied. My only anxiety at this point, is what may happen to the the programming of the remote with unexpected power outages...i.e. will they need to be reprogrammed. At this point, I think not.

Easy to install with the Casablanca 99199 Remote Receiver

I experienced no problems pairing this control with the 99199 receiver I installed in an older Casablanca fan. The 35 year old fan originally had the Inteli-Touch electronics, but the receiver in the fan failed and Casablanca no longer supports this technology. This wall control replaced the original Inteli-Touch wall control. Other than offering 4 fan speeds instead of 6 with the original Inteli-Touch electronics, it controls the fan and lighting functions to perfection and is easier to operate. It was much cheaper to convert the fan using the 99199 receiver/99195 control combination offered by Amazon vs. buying a third party receiver and remote, or junking the fan and buying another of equal quality. I highly recommend this combination for any fan.

Functions Well

Install was straight forward. Functions as it should. I have 2 paired with hunter fans. I have two switches and two ceiling fans (with lights) and they work completely independent and it wasn't an issue during install to have it function independently.

Still needs batteries

I was looking for a modern solution to Hunter remote. I am not a fan of remote holder- loooks out of place when on wall. This Casablanca" in the wall remote is perfect,almost. Easy to install and works with my Hinter fan BUT still requires batteries. It is hooked up to electrical wiring for the main power switch. This means it has to be to unscrewed when batteries in remote die. Not sure why the couldn't make the switch in such a way that it does not require batteries.

Inexpensive and sophisticated

I've tried many wireless fan/light controls over the years looking for something to replace my aging and failing Emerson equipment. So far these have been the best. They're super easy to install and, paired with the receiving unit (sold separately or in a combo pack), control just about any brand fan/light with an A/C (not D/C) motor. I guess everything is under-powered on the wireless side these days as you do have to press a button again sometimes for the operation to work, though so far this happens far less than any other device I've tested. The 2 drawbacks with my current fans are: 1. They don't have a way to remotely reverse the fan direction. Something I rarely do/need but was still a convenience on the old switches. 2. They control only 1 light. My fans have both a downlight and uplight. I wired them together with this switch; it was nice once in a while to have just the uplight on for ambient light but I will live. At least with these I don't have to replace my fans!

Effective Wall Remote

Works as promised, I read the reviews so I knew what to expect like it takes batteries. I was a little apprehensive about it working with my Hunter Fan, but it does now that the two companies have amalgamated.

Broke just outside of the one year warranty

Good customer service help at the hunter fan company however the remote was defective.

I like the functionality but it requires AAA batteries

I actually really like this switch panel, but I can't forgive the fact it requires 2 AAA batteries; that means the batteries will eventually spoil, leak and ruin this switch unless you remember to replace them. This is a pretty ridiculous prospect for something wired to an AC source. A better work around would be to give it a rechargeable lithium source that would make these switches maintenance free.
