Not sure how others are using them but they worked PERFECT for me
I read the reviews and saw some people were saying these don't flex. I seriously wish I could post a picture with this review. Mine worked perfect! they bent and flexed every which way I turned them. they were SO simple to put in my hair. It took me 3 tries on the first section to get it to stay ( you have to tuck the END of your hair in or it will unravel) Once, I did it, I had my entire head done in like 5 minutes. They were comfortable to sleep in. This morning when I got up, I kept them in while I was getting myself and the kids ready, and I took them all out as I was walking out the door. Shook my hair with my fingers and DONE. EVERYONE at work complimented me on my hair today. Even my sons teacher said something it. The curls are full and look great! NOW, because of my inexperience with these, I did get a size that in my personal opinion is too big for me. These are 1". I am going to go back and order another set in a smaller size. I am now HOOKED on these!!!

First I have really thick hair that is down to almost my waist (i'm 5'5") . I have long layers that when my hair is blown dry by a professional it looks wavy and so pretty. After watching some YouTube videos I figured I would give these a try. Everything I have seen said to start with damp hair that had some product in it. I had my hair up in these for over 10 hours and when i took them out, my hair was still wet. You could see curl there but there was nothing to do with it as it was still damp. Next time I will add extra product and have my hair almost all the way dry.

Positive Review
I ordered Jumbo Twist Flex Rods. I used an oil serum to set rods in my daughter's head. She has thick medium coarse hair, which can get frizzy in humidity. Most of her curls took and didn't loose their bounce. Although, her hair was a bit damp in some areas, being that she has thick hair the curls came loose and didn't hold. You just have to work with the rods and find the best way to set your hair based on its texture. I loved them, they were flexible despite being jumbo sized. My daughter and I both were able to sleep with them in over night. Also shipping was speedy.

I love Diane twist-flex rods. I have used the 7/8 inch rods, which break after maybe 8 months of heavy use. I sleep with two rods in my hair. After 3 months of heavy use, one broke. I plan on repurchasing them since I love how my hair looks after using them.

I have the smaller rods and they are pretty easy to twist (not great with sleeping but bearable), however these are impossible to twist and hold in my long thin hair. I have to use clips (like big banana clips) to hold them in and definitely can't sleep with them. So I just clip them up and put some product/hairdryer and that's how it will be!

The value is good..
The value is good... My hair is to my lower back and rather thick, I just wish I wouldn't have ordered the biggest ones. It comes out more like waves instead of curls. What i Love about them is i am able to apply them quick!

Want to like these
I want to like these. They're like sleeping on telephone poles!!! Not really, but there's no darn way I can sleep on these. I still haven't figured the right way to roll my hair on them, I'll watch the YouTube videos again. I tried them 2x's and my hair looked very funky, not in a good way! Trying to avoid heat in my hair, was hoping they were softer.

Overall, not impressed.
They are very uncomfortable (tug and pull at your hair). I put them in with semi damp hair in the evening, slept HORRIBLY in them over night, and in the morning had mediocre curls that I had to tidy up with my curling iron. The curls only lasted through half the day (3-4 hours) which is deceiving for an overnight curler curl (my curling iron curls last longer than that). Overall, not impressed.
