Medieval Overdress

Glad that I listened to the reviews about the "corset" lace that comes with this. 3 stars because it did break considering the price I had to pay for it. Luckily though, because I did listen to other reviewers I did also purchase some leather Para cord. Over $50 for this plus the other $6 for so much cord I'm not sure what to do with for the rest, that is the only reason for 3 stars. Much longer than expected, but honestly that doesn't even bother me! I bought some baggy but comfy "sweats," although more like yoga pants, and waiting for my shirt to come in and will post pictures! I'm a 9/10, weigh 163, 5'5, and a C cup - most medium sized clothes fit me best. Other reviewers that said to go a size up - I'd also follow that advice! The L/XL fits very nicely and comfortably so that I can still move around, bend, and whatnot. Definitely recommend that if you buy this, at the same time go ahead and get the shortest length of leather Para cord you can as back up for the corset lace in front - just in case, as the cord is more like a very thin and flimsy shoe lace. Cause the moment you go to tighten everything up after lacing it does break. Very nicely made for what it will be used for. And happy with purchase. Just not happy with price and having to buy extra cord to make it work the way it's supposed to.

Love this dress!

I wore this dress to ren-faire, and I loved it! I loved how it fit, how flowing it was, how it looked (I'm a little curvy so I was worried about that) It held up so great and even after wearing it again for a Halloween costume it still looks great! I will probably wear this dress again next year for ren-faire! One complaint though, the string that came with the dress broke the first time I even tried to put it on lol It was very flimsy. However, I replaced it with a black shoelace and I was golden. :) Still sturdier than anything I would have bought at Spirit Halloween!!!

Decent costume piece!

According to the measurements I was in between sizes with a Medium/Large which at the time I ordered, isn't a size option. Went with the L/XL to be safe and it's actually a little snug! It may run small, so be aware of that. And when I laced it up and pulled gently to tie it, the provided string did break so maybe have a back up to be safe! Aside from that it was pleasantly surprising and I got many compliments, including a few kids who thought I was one of the performers at the Renaissance festival and I feel like that's a pretty lofty compliment!! ????????

Dress is good, cord is weak.

The dress and stitching are good. I had it hemmed and pressed to get the fold wrinkles out. The cord that comes with it however is weak and broke twice when I wore it and I was not tugging too hard or wearing it tightly.

Very cute... On someone else lol

So yeah unfortunately I got the costume two sizes too small and I could not wear it to my event. The string did pop, but it was very thin and stretchy. My friend wore it instead with a shoelace and the result was just as nice.

Not worth it

Im 5ft 160 pds 36DD this is not made for short people or women who are top heavy. The strings broke as I tried to tighten them only reason it didn’t get a 1 star is the material is pretty thick hand sturdy imma have to buy new string hopefully it won’t rip any fabric and hem it up at least 4 inches

I absolutely LOVED the look but sizing is way off

I wanted this to fit so bad. I loved the look of this and couldn't find anything similar. So despite the other reviews saying the sizing was off... I ordered it in hopes it would still work for me. It didn't. I ordered the L/XL size which is supposed to fit up to size 12-14. It barely fit across my back and the corset piece never would have even come close to closing properly.
