This is an absolute amazing buy.
Most people don't need a fax machine, nowadays, but when you need one, it's good to have your own. I've paid 30+ dollars for faxing just a few papers at a Staples. Great print quality, and toner saving options. I've never dealt with any live tech support because I've never needed to. This brand has plenty of online info from the Brother site(and other sites), plus tons of YouTube walk throughs. Can't go wrong. I'm no techy, but I've had no problems using this bad boy. It's a little slow in moving paper, but that's ok. I have a small apartment, but this printer isn't a problem. Would DEFINITELY buy again. Wish I could buy a color version for cheap as well.

Great remanned printer!!
It was easy to set up and prints & scans clear and easily!! I am not a techy and highly recommend this printer for home office use. It scanned straight after I adjusted the track brackets and scanned straight to my laptop.

I would have given this printer 5 stars EXCEPT for crooked sheet feeder scanning & UTP LAN issue
Update: 13-Dec-2020 I do love this printer. Clearly they sell the chassis at an excellent price point, however, the supply costs are nuts. I bought Linkyo toner for $28, 3 cart pack, $9 each, and they are perfect. The Drum is suppose to last for "12,000" pages. I'm at 3,500 (I don't print a lot) and the drum needs to be replaced. I used the cleaning instructions, no difference. I replaced the Drum, and printing is crystal clear. Is Linkyo toner the problem? No idea. For $9/toner, and $28 for a Linkyo Drum, I'm money ahead from Brother supplies. And if I wreak the printer, I'm already money ahead. If non-OEMs can produce supplies at this price point, and clearly they wouldn't they weren't profitable, then why can't Brother/OEMs? The printer cost was ~$200, and they charge $100 for a drum and $76/toner cart, $176 for toner/drum is nutty. As Tom Hanks said in "Big" - "I don't get it." Update: 8-Jul-2020 My 2.5 year old MFC-L2750DW printer has worked flawlessly (network) with my home LAN. The LAN has not changed since 2008 and all devices continue to work flawlessly. Except today this printer decided NOT work in its legacy LAN connection: printer CAT5e to Gig LAN switch at my desk that connects to a Gig LAN switch in the comm closet that connects to a Gig UTP port on the WiFi router (LAN switches and WiFi router are from NetGear and the WiFi router is 1 month old). I connect the printer to the comm closet LAN switch and it worked. I swapped out the CAT5e cable from printer to the desk Gig switch didn't help. I swapped ports on the LAN switch didn't work. My laptop worked just fine via UTP. I even used a different power supply. To make sure I didn't miss anything, I swapped Gig LAN switches between my desk and comm closet, no good. (same model: GS108). Everything pointed to the printer port. I did a Network rest on the printer. Nope. I did a factory reset on the printer, zippy-do-da. The only thing that was consistent was the UTP port on the printer, and printer itself. I reconfig'ed to 2,4Ghz wireless and it works just fine now. Why did the UTP connection fail? No clue. And, I do have the latest firmware on the printer, I checked this too. If you are sti l awake, read on and if you have advice, I'm open: I prefer UTP cabled networking when practical: TVs, DVDs, TiVos, printers and laptop docking stations all CAT5e UTP. iPhone, iPad, undocked laptops and guests (private VPN & radio for quests) all wireless. When we built the house in 2007, wireless was OK. I placed 100Mbps NetGear switches per area (TVs, TiVo and DVDs have no need for more than 100Mbps, and I have no gaming devices) where I needed multiple connections, and these switches home to an 8-port Gig switch in my comm closet that connects to the router that has five 1Gbps UTP ports + ISP WAN connection. All UTP lines in the house punchdown to a 66-block in the comm closet. I've had this design since we moved in the house in 2008. Yep, 12+ year old NetGear LAN switches as I had them at the previous house. I have had to replace a few power supplies... Why the printer decided to stop working is a puzzle. The UTP port light on the LAN switch did illuminate so I knew I had Layer 1 & probably 2, ping from my Lenovo laptop failed to the orinter's static IPv4 address, and when checking connected devices on the router (I use static addresses for printers), it never displayed.. Once I connected the printer via wireless, I could ping and and the printer showed up on the router's table. Using wireless isn't a big deal, just WHY didn't the wired config fail? ORIGINAL REVIEW FROM FEB 2018: Printing is quiet, fast and nice, even duplex printing. Installation was a breeze, or as a friend says - stupid easy;. My work laptop uses the USB port and my personal laptop using Ethernet; one is Windows 7 64-bit and the other is Windows 10 64-bit. I have the printer connected via a UTP cable to my desk's Gigabit Ethernet switch - I haven't tried the wireless option. I'll use maybe 500 sheets of paper in one year - I'm a light printer. I downloaded the latest software (~450MB) from Brother.com before installing. Just too lazy to find my USB CD/DVD device to connect to my laptop, and this made sure I had the most recent software. I don't do a lot of scanning, a few pages a week. When using the sheet feeder, scans are slightly crooked. No matter how hard I try to make SURE the sheet fits snugly in the sheet feeder and straight, it is off a bit. If I'm not very careful, it can be crooked by a 1/4". Using the scanning bed is fine. I called support and went through a cleaning process. Still crooked. A new printer was sent quite quickly (kudos Brother!) and it too has the same problem. IMHO and from my experience if you do a lot of sheet feeder scanning and iimportant pages nee to be scanned straight, I'd think twice. Maybe the ones I've tried came from a defective manufacturing run as I returned the first device in less than week. I may wait a few months before logging another warranty issue and see if the problem was a defective manufacturing run that has been corrected. Hard to believe I'd get 2 that have the same issue unless it is a temporary manufacturing defect. Brother isn't some off-name brand. If I do another warranty return, I'll provide an update.

Tired of lousy inkjet quality
I've been very happy with this purchase. Although limited to pack and white printing, the quality and reliability is so much better than any inkjet. Clean, crisp and professional. Wish I had purchased this year's ago to avoid all the frustration of an inkjet. Just my two vents.

Good Quality Printer
Good quality printer. Nothing fancy but I like it that way. Nice to be able to copy/scan and print. Very easy to follow the menu. Easy to update the firmware when necessary. I don't print a lot so I haven't had to order a new toner yet, but changing it out won't be an issue. I also like that the footprint isn't very big. Very happy with my purchase.

Superior to liquid ink
I’ve struggled for years with expensive liquid ink cartridges drying out, clogging, making a mess. This printer solved all that only downside is that the scanner feeds crooked.

Duplex scan/copy at great price
This is by far the most affordable duplex scanner (can scan or copy both sides of a paper without having to manually flip it). It was fairly easy to setup. It did come with a little cd with the drivers on it, but most computers these days don't have an optical drive. And even if you do have one, you'd be better off downloading the most recent drivers from the Brother support website directly. After setting it up on the network it automatically detected there was a firmware update as well. So just pushing the icon on the touchscreen on the printer started that process. It's wireless, which is also great, since who wants additional network cables running around. I've owned several other Brother laser printers in the past and they all have been of good quality. In fact I still have a really good functioning one still, but just upgraded to this one for the duplex scanning capability.

excellent for home office if you do not use the automatic scanning feature
Excellent for small businesses if you are not going to use the ADF scanner. Printer works perfectly so far. It comes with a software in which you have a lot of functions to use. The overall design is boring as Brother has not changed the design for more than a decade. But it works as it is supposed to do. Duplex printing, copying and scanning (misalignment problem). Update: I removed two stars after finding out that this printer has a misaligned scanning problem (crooked). If you intend to buy this printer for using its 2-page duplex automatic scanning feature be aware that it has a 5mm misaligned result that according to Brother it is acceptable!!!! it means that if you want to have a straight scanned document you have to use the flatbed.

Much easier to set up than my old Canon printer :-)
After spending hours on my old inkjet multifunction printer issue, I finally gave up and got a black/white laser printer. Comparing with many brands and models, I chose Brother MFCL2750DW. Double sided scan/copy/fax/print for $299 CAD, you can only get it from Amazon. It took couple weeks to arrive. Wireless setup is so easy comparing to my old Canon. After testing some functions, here is my experience. • To scan entire page including very bottom of page, do not use the auto feeder!! I must use the glass bed. • iPrint&Scan doesn’t provide preview and area selection when scanning!! So I used NAPS2 which has preview and trimming before saving as PDF or JPG file. • Scanner color is accurate. Use 300 dpi or higher for better image. No auto paper size detection, it always scan the whole page. • When using auto feeder to scan/copy, some pages are a little skewed, but you can enable the auto skew correction in the iPrint&Scan app and on the printer menu. When scanning a double sided paper, one side is normal but the other side is skewed. I think it is a design defect in the scanner, not feeder. • I can scan/copy/fax to my Google Drive, network drive, FTP server or email if I don’t want to scan to my laptop. Very nice! • It auto wakes up from sleep state with no issue. The auto power off feature is nice. • The short cut feature is very convenient! I can save many customized copy/scan/fax/print setting in about 12 short cuts. It can save me a lot of time in the future. • Life time support and 6 more months of warranty if registered. • Tonner and drum are affordable. • Quiet mode is nice at night. It is a winner at this price range. I didn't test the fax yet. I hope it can last for many years. I only print few times per months. Inkjet cartridge easily got dry and clogged the printhead. Notice that anyone can connect to this printer over network if they know its IP address, you may want to change the default network password on this printer. 2023-02-18: Setting up short cut on the printer using its small LCD is not easy. It also allows creating short cut using its iPrint&Scan app on laptop, it is much easier and save time! The searchable PDF feature is nice. I hope they enable the auto-skew by default so I don't have to repeatedly enable it when creating short cut for scan. I think the auto feeder can't pull in every page properly using only one small roller in the middle. More to learn...

Very nice machine
I solved a problem - it would not wake from sleep mode when sending a print job from my PC. Did some research and found the I needed to add a new port via windows control panel / devices and printers / right click printer properties / ports tab / add port / Standard TCP/IP Port / new port / next/ after my PC did a search, the task failed and displayed "generic network card" I clicked okay and now when this Brother MFCL2750DW is in sleep mode and I send it a print job, it wakes and prints correctly. Awesome!

3 months later and so many problems
I am a big fan of this Brother series of printer. I've had 3 different versions over the past 10 years I just bought this particular one in May and already in August, the automatic paper feed is completely shredding paper, the wi-fi system drops the internet connection all the time, and it will show on the various computer in the house as being off line. The only way to make this work is to plug it into a computer with USB. Totally not the point of wireless. This particular version is a bust. I bought this because I thought a smaller version of the larger machines would work well. I was mistaken.

Great value for multifunction laser printer
The Brother MFC-L2750DW is a multifunction laser printer with copy, scan and fax capabilities. The printer has a relatively small footprint compared to my old Canon multifunction printers. I had forgotten that laser printers draw a lot more power than the inkjet printer being replaced so I had to do some re-configuration of my electrical outlets to prevent the breakers from tripping on my UPS. The MFC-L2750DW is a full duplex printing and scanning which makes documents handling really easy and convenient. The user interface button feel a bit dated but offers a nice tactile feel. The small display is a touch screen. Menus are easy to navigate and clear to understand. I was able to print my first test page from my computer and smartphone in about 15 minutes of opening and unpacking the box. With much of my work moving to online documents, my printing demand has decreased a lot which swayed my decision to upgrade from an inkjet to a laser printer. My Canon ink tanks were being replaced more due to drying than actual use. This won't be a problem with a laser printer toner. I am projecting a much lower cost of ownership with this Brother MFC-L2750DW.
