Doubled output airflow

This is a great unit to add light and increase the output air and moisture. I came out of the shower to clean mirror for the first time since I lived in this home. It is worth the challenge of replacing the old fan.

Check your dimensions

The ease will largely depend on your existing conditions. Be sure and check all dimensions including depth into attic and if your existing fan doesn't already have 3 electrical connection this will add to the complexity. It did go in but the install was not as easy as expected

Problems

It is a great product only problem is you have to buy a special 2 or 3 way switch from them to make it work properly. Description in add on amazon does not mention this. All I can say is be aware fan is strong, light is bright but the humidity sensor will not work without the special switch.

Does a great job of eliminating the moisture in the shower.

This fan was an easy install/replacement for a 20+ yr old fan. The led light was nice and bright just as I expected. I ran an extra wire to accommodate a third switch so I could leave the fan in sensor mode all of the time. Not really necessary, but it helps reduce the likelihood that a family member might leave it running all day long.

Could NOT get the humidty sensor to work! That's a PAIN!!!!

UPDATED: SUMMARY: This fan will NEVER EVER work properly, given that I have replaced its' electronics twice and all 3 boards have NEVER worked at all properly!!! I now have spoken with Broan 4 times now, tried 4 different things, including TWO replacements of the humidity sensor board. Symptoms of my problem are simple: 1. Fan turns on at frequent, random times, no matter what is happening in the house. 2. With humidity trigger level set at highest, it still starts randomly, but NEVER, EVER starts in response to a shower, etc. I have the humidity sensor dial set as high as it will go. I have ALL holes in the box taped (to prevent humid air in attic from influencing the sensor). And, still, the unit is about as likely to be found running as not, even if the bathroom has not been used all day. Tech support is without further advice. So, I now have a fan installed that is basically a manual controlled fan, but with the annoyance that I have to turn the fan on, off, and on to get it to run for whatever the time set on the timer control is....and then I need to turn the fan off again, so it won't run randomly. I wish I had not bought it!!!!

The fan is bigger than the old Broan seems to exhaust the steam from the shower better.

The fan is quiet and the light is bright the Broan looks clean. The new Broan is for the shower it was bigger than the old Broan so I had to modify a little bit. But looks great.
