Very lovely
Looks great. Advice: make sure the diameter of the base plate will cover your existing opening. It didn’t on ours. We are working to find a solution because we really like the light.

1 week after I installed light the photo sensor went bad had to replace it
Nice looking light after one week of use the photo eye went bad had to order a new photo eye so a 25 light turned into a 35 dollar light

Nice light but no sensor adjustment
Weather can be rough on exposed fixtures, so after only a few years I had to replace my front porch light. The old lamp was a motion detector that was overly sensitive even on the lowest setting. The brass finish was beginning to tarnish and pit and bulb replacement meant partial disassembly to reach the bulb. This new lamp isn't as fancy looking as my antique brass one, but the coating is heavier and appears to be of a better quality. Also, the bulb can be replaced by simply reaching up into the enclosure. While the motion detection feature sounded good, in practice, it came on whenever a car drove by or someone walked in front of the house. Yet when I walked out my front door, my sudden appearance to the sensor seemed to confuse it until I got a few feet away from the house. I elected this time to go with a simple dusk to dawn fixture. Using a LED bulb, the the fixture draws very little power and cost is negligible. My only complaint would be that since the fixture is somewhat shaded on my porch, it comes on too early and goes off too late. A sensitivity adjustment would have won an extra star.

NOT WHAT I EXPECTED
These are very cute lights and very pretty. I think they looked better than the photo. They are very, very small. I had hoped to use one for a front porch light but it is too tiny. It says they are security lights but the 'dawn to dusk' meaning was lost on me and only when I received the package did I realize that it means they automatically go on a and stay on all night once the sun goes down and the sensor reads that its dark. I was looking for the kind that picks up movement (motion detection) which would be more of what 'security' means to me. I have indoor nightlights that come on in the dark but somehow didn't make the connection. I still may use one for the back porch as it is a good size for that and there is a Ring doorbell there for security, already. If you're not wanting motion detection and don't mind your light being on all night long, this is a good value for the money and it attractive.

Really unimpressed with the dusk/dawn functionality
Really unimpressed so far. The fixture was easy enough to install and it looks decent. But the photocell doesn't work very well at all. I'm using these Phillips LED bulbs:Philips 455717 100W Equivalent A19 LED Daylight Light Bulb, 4-Pack The fixture causes the bulbs to flash on and off pretty rapidly around dusk when it's not fully dark, but by no means bright outside. I have 4 of these around the front and back of my house and it looked like I was throwing a strobe light party last night. I put my finger of the photocell and the bulb came on solid and stayed on. I removed my finger and it went back to blinking rapidly. I didn't have the patience to wait to see how dark it needed to get before it stopped blinking, so I turned off the light switches and waited to turn them on again until well after dark. Once totally dark outside, I noticed the bulbs still have a very fast flicker cycle. They're not actually on solid 100% of the time. I again placed my finger over a sensor and it helped stop the high frequency flicker. I suspect it's a compatibility issue with the particular LED bulbs I'm using. But I don't think I'm being unreasonable in expecting a typical household LED bulb would work in a modern dusk/dawn fixture. I refuse to use CFLs because they're too dim and too yellow for patio/driveway/back yard lighting. And standard incandescent bulbs burn way too much electricity to leave on 8 hrs a day. I have a few other brands of LED bulbs laying around my house that I'll experiment with, but I really like the bright, daylight color of the Phillips bulbs that are equivalent to 100w but only consume 14w. I'll update this review to 1 star only if I can't get the flicker to go away with any LED bulb. It gets 2 stars for now because it was easy to install and looks decent, but for now, I've been forced to put electrical tape over the dusk/dawn sensor and use it as a standard fixture, even in total darkness.

Works well and looks good - caveat with LED bulbs, though
Works well with one caveat - LED bulbs may not work well with the photoelectric light control - hence I took one star off. I still used LED bulbs - during the night it is fine, but during the day the LED bulb still lit very dimly instead of being completely off. Not a biggie for me. I installed two on either side of my garage. They were easy to install into an existing electrical wall box where I had motion sensing lights before (who needs motion sensor outdoor lights any more since the LED bulbs are available that consume much less energy?). The enclosure in on the smaller side size-wise (which may or may not suit you) but it is a pretty enclosure, and relatively inexpensive. Make sure to caulk the edges when installed outdoors. I purchased these with my own money and this was not an item given to me free for evaluation/review. I am not associated with the seller and manufacturer in any way other than as a satisfied customer.

Flashing light
When putting a led bulb, it kept blinking during sundown. This stopped after replacing with halogen bulb. Now it functions great.

True information about these great lights.
These lights are Metal with Glass, not Plastic as someone else posted, also if they are installed so other lights do not shine on the Photo eye, they work perfectly as it gets dark, they come on and when the sun comes up, they shut off. Someone also posted uneducated information in their previous review. I am a Certified Electrician with 25 years experience, these are great lights for the price.

Facile
Pour l’entrée principale, c’est facile, économique, sans tracas puisque la lumière s’allume et s’éteint seule et ce luminaire a du style!
