Good adapter for dust collection

Fits well on the Bosch sliding miter dust port. When a hose is connected, it pulls a good amount of dust from the saw. Not perfect, but better than just the bag alone.

The ID of the end that connects to a hose is 1 3/4 and is an exact match my 1 1/2 Craftsman wet/dry vac hose, which has 1 3/4 OD. Unfortunately, "exact match," doesn't mean it stays on. Most tool attachments have a tapered socket, which gives a friction fit. This does not and depends upon locking tabs that go into the holes you see in the picture. Without the locking tabs, this connector slides off. To fix this, I put two layers of vinyl electrical tape inside the hose-end of this adaptor as deep inside as I can reach. Now I get a decent friction fit onto my Craftsman 1 1/2" hose. I've not used this much, so I do not know if this fix will last, but it looks okay so far. The tool side of this connector is for a 35mm tool port. The connector allows you to adjust the airflow. I am using this with a Bosch 3725DVS sander. I find that full suction on that sander leads to it being jumpy and hard to control. Adding the VX120 and opening the port to reduce airflow helps a lot and gives me much more control. I took off two stars because Bosch / Amazon should say the OD/ID specs of their parts and they should make a coupler between this and other hoses. Maybe that is unfair because they intend it to be used on only their own hoses, but that's the mood I'm in today.

you should be using this

I bought this to use on my sanders. I was actually surprised how well it works the suction bleed off is a plus I am going to buy a couple more for all my tools it will fit

I made this adapter work for my needs

Like everyone else I've been trying to find the right adapter to work with standard 1 1/2 shop vac hose. I was able to pull off the reducer and stick the large opening of the reducer into the 35mm opening. (The reducer that comes off is actually playable.) In this configuration my 1 1/8 OD hose connector fit into the adapter and the smaller part of the reducer fit into my Miter Saw and Kreg track saw. Hopefully the pictures I add will make the connection clearer. Hope this helps.

Really useful for individual tool dust collection

This adapter is really nice. It comes with the Bosch VAC090AH 9-gallon HEPA dust extractor. It works very well in Dewalt track saw and miter saw, Bosch sander, router and jigsaw. I plan to buy one for each tool for quick changing between while working. The friction fit is pretty tight and difficult to remove. I would rather get it fit and leave it.

Can’t be genuine Bosch product

I am still using the Bosch hose connector that came with my vacuum cleaner 8 years ago. I have hardly used this and it has disintegrated completely.

Fits karcher NT35/1 hose

Can't find this in Malaysia so I have to order it from Amazon and pray that it fits my Karcher NT35/1 Tact Shop Vac hose. It does fit and the 2 notches click in nicely. Now I can do sanding without generating too much dust.

Works really well

Used this with Bosch Orbital sander and Dyson DC05. Just need to disconnect the standard fitting from and of Dyson Hoze and use bit of duck tape to ensue stays connected to adaptor.

This adapter can only fit on Bosch hoses with the clip system… I eventually found out that the adapter on my Makita dust extractor fits perfectly on my CSG-15….
