Replacement pads for Bosch random orbit sander
Eventually, the loops on the pad break so that the hooks on the sanding disk no longer engage. The paper no longer sticks so you can no longer sand. This replaces the pad to get you back in business. The soft pad allows the paper to flex which lets it last longer. 3 screws hold it onto the sander drive. This is a critical part.

Breathe new life into your sander.
Came in on time and was worth the wait. I didn’t expect it to be OEM, but it was in a Bosch box so that was a nice bonus. Like others have said, this is t really a ‘soft’ base pad. It does have a little squish to it though and I would call it standard. My folks are downsizing and pops gave me all his old tools. Mostly in various states of disrepair. This one fix allowed me to replace and clean the sander and now it’s working extremely well. Bet this will last another 10 years or so.

OEM replacement for sander pad
This is a replacement for the original pad on my Bosch sander, which disintegrated over a couple years of light use. Recently while I was using the sander to sand a tabletop I was making I kept seeing gummy residue on the work surface. I finally figured out that it was the foam cushioning for the pad that was disintegrating as I was using it. One contributing factor to the disappointing durability could be that it was stored in a garage that gets hot in the summer. I noticed the Bosch website says that the current pad has "improved life." I hope so. I have given this 4 stars based on the fact that it has performed fine on the job I needed it for, but I need to see evidence that the life has indeed been improved.

Does not fit the 3725DVS
The RS031 and the RS032 both fit the 3283DVS sander just fine. But neither of these fit the 3725DVS because they are too thick. These pads are 12.65mm thick and the stock pad is 10.35mm thick. This means that the replacement pads are rubbing against the rubber dust shield. I am not sure where the problem is, but I plan to call Bosch and see what is going on.... .... I tried a washer to shim the pad away from the rubber seal, but the pad came loose. I ended up removing the rubber seal which solve the rubbing problem, but may allow dust to escape. Will test further...

Easy to replace with just a 4mm hex wrench
Gave new life to my old Bosch sander with the velcro peeling off. I purchased RS032 for dead flat surfaces and RS031 for not so flat surfaces. Quick and easy to change sanding pads with just a 4mm hex wrench. No need to take the tool apart.
