Only my 2nd Palm router, but excellent.
I make butcher block cutting boards, and a few tables. This router works perfectly inside my cutting board juice groove jig, as well as for adding edge profiles to tables. I do have a third router in my router table, but it has a totally different function. For me, this was a great investment. I just wish I had bought this before I bought a less expensive router (you get what you pay for, to an extent).

Great Little Router, needs better QC!
Update: While the router itself is solid, the whole kit is just lacking in quality and fit and finish. I was routing round over corners on a piece of wood and when I turned the corner it would start cutting deeper into the wood leaving a small edge I had to sand off. Not a huge deal, but annoying. I got a centering pin in order to better align the base and it was just not sitting flush. Turns out the router is on a slight angle inside the base even when locked. I would expect this from a cheap no name router, but not a name brand like Bosch. Ended up returning it and getting a cordless DeWalt which has a much better adjustment system and doesn’t get the finish scratched up every time it’s adjusted. If you are ok with QC issues and poor fit and finish, this router is powerful and will cut everything you throw at it, but for me not worth the hassle. Original: This is a great router that I'm upset I did not get earlier. I'm a hobbyist and love to work on wood, but I always hated using routers. I have experience using a Ridgid router and a much larger 2.5 HP router. The Ridgid was OK, but it lacked power and was somewhat unfriendly to use. The larger Masterforce router was awesome, but huge and hard to maneuver. I didn't use it much, because it was a hassle to use. It was large and just made it hard to work on the piece. It had lots of power, but just not a tool I used a lot. The Bosch really is a great router. Easy to adjust height that you can dial in precisely. It has lots of power and doesn't slow down on anything I tried to use it on. I had no problem with dado joints, edge finishing, and everything else I tried it for. It's easy to maneuver and a pleasure to use. I've looked at competing products from Makita and other clones that are pretty much identical and while nice routers and solid, I just never found them to fit as nicely in the hand. The adjustment on those is quick, but hard to dial in a precise value, since it's just so quick to move up and down without much control. The only downside here is that the quality control is a bit lacking. The first router I got had two major issues: 1. The bits were sticking in the chuck and I had to use a lot of force to remove them, some I had to pry out carefully with pliers. 2. The depth adjustment was not working. When I had it set to fine adjustment it would be almost impossible to return. I got a replacement quickly from Amazon and the new one has none of the original issues. If you are looking at a router for smaller projects, this one is a great choice.

Great router. Bosch seems to make better routers than anyone else at their price point.
Been in a woodworking shop for 9 years and have used many different brands of routers. Bosch has always been an excellent router brand. The grip on this router is far more ergonomic than the cheaper 1hp variant Bosch router. Though it is also heavier and larger than the 1 hp version. For me, (being a smaller guy) the added weight and size do make it a bit more fatiguing to use than the smaller version when doing a lot of routing but if you only need it for a few passes on some material to out an edge on, it's excellent. And I suspect average sized or larger guys would prefer the size and weight of the 1.25hp router over the 1hp. The LED lights seem pointless to me but the clear round base is far better than the square black one on other models. One thing this router has that I've never seen before on any tools is a ball joint that the cord is connected to the router in. Why other tool makers and other product designers in general don't have that feature is beyond me. But it puts far less wear and tear on the cord connection on the router. Overall I'd say the router is well built, plenty of power and the added weight and power makes it vibrate less when using it on hard woods compared to the 1hp variant. Lastly, I read a lot of reviews talking about the micro adjustment is worthless on this router and I was a bit concerned about that. But after using it I realized that while it's not perfect, I certainly have no issue using the micro adjustment properly. People who complain about the adjustment being worthless either don't know how to properly adjust it or they got defective routers.

Love the tool. Hate what Amazon or the supplier did to the box.
The Bosch GKF125CEN Colt 1.25HP palm router that I purchased met my expectations as a first time router owner. I was able to complete my project for which I needed the router. What annoys the heck out of me is the fact that someone slapped a non-removable sticky label (4x6 iches) about Amazon's purchase order of a pallet of these from Robert Bosch Tool Corporation that covers pretty much every bit of of the back of the box printing. This label had nothing to do with my purchase of the tool from Amazon. As if I needed three different bar codes about the serial shipping container code and that this was carton# 278 of 343. I guess I will never be able to read the info on the ack of the box. Since I will store the router in that original box, it annoys me.

Micro adjustment isn't good
Nice router, easy to control and has good power. However, it comes up short where the micro adjustment comes into play. The adjustment just doesn't work well.

Nice tool
This router was a joy to use. It runs very smooth has plenty of power for the size. the hight adjustment is a bit of a disappointment doesn't measure up to the balance of the quality of the rest of the tool but manageable with a little patience. The fine adjustment is the biggest disappointment it works off a threaded rod that seats half in the router maim body and half in the router outer housing. My guess is this feature will be easily damaged beyond function in ashort time of attempting to use it. Overall once you have your setting worked out I think this tool will not disappoint.

Great router. Overpriced separate plunge base.
If you are later going to add a plunge base you should bite the bullet and but them together now as the separate plunge base seems to cost as much as the kit that includes the router, plunge base, guide and case. I'm really peeved about this now that I have the basic router alone. I may as well buy the kit and have 2 routers. I'll maybe permanently mount the spare one in a small table. Just be aware before buying.

Excellent design
I had the old Bosch colt for years. I thought that was a great design. The new model is just that much better, nice feel, better fine adjustments, more powerful motoer. . Excellent router, all round. Friend's of mine in construction say other routers do not last. This one is well built and very well thought out.

Photos are misleading
After opening the box I found out that this particular Bosch Colt 1.25hp router does not come with an edge guide. In the photos it shows you the edge guide, therefore it is very misleading, because the edge guide on its own is a hard find and not cheap either. Without a guide its going to be very difficult to route straight. Be warned. I was aware that these routers were sold with and without the guide, and on further inspection its not being said it comes with a guide in the description. But for the original price of $200 and the going from the photo's it was definitely in the price range of the combo.

Excelente herramienta
Me encanta su tamaño, fácil de trabajar con el, con la ventaja de regular su velocidad, adaptándose a la dureza de cada madera
