3-fourths of perfect
The *only* complaint I have is that the main opening needs another inch (at most) of zipper to open. If the main compartment would open just a little bit more, it would be easier to remove the additional papers and loose notes in addition to the laptop or binder I keep in there.

I had to order three different cases and return the first two before getting to this one, which is definitely a "keeper." First one was a tomtoc. Very handsome and durable case, just too thin, with separate front pockets a little too limited for the peripherals I typically need to bring along when taking my laptop on the go. I also didn't care for the zipper access to the main compartment being on the side of the case. Second one was the slightly lower cost AmazonBasics case. Also a good case, but the main compartment was just a bit too big for my newest "slim" laptop, and just seemed a little more flimsy and not as well-constructed as this one. Now THIS case fits my Acer Aspire 5 (15.6" screen) just right, with a velcro-fastened retaining strap to hold it in place against the rear interior wall, and a little extra room for, e.g., a few magazines, booklets, letter-sized report folders, etc. The nylon used on both the inside and outside of the case is tougher. There's a sturdy, thick, and well-fitted padding material sewn into the walls; the carry handles have neoprene covers on them; the front pocket cover is flat and opens from top to bottom, but when closed, the front pocket "gives" just enough to easily fit the bulkiest of my peripherals (portable scanner). There's padding sewn into the cover to help protect any gear you have in there from impact damage, and the zippers are very neatly sewn in place throughout, and operate very smoothly. Thanks for your patience, Amazon, as I stumbled my way to this case, and thanks for getting this product into your "Basics" line. It's very well-designed, well-constructed, and a great value ... everything I've come to expect from AmazonBasics, and more. Very pleased!

Very Useful
I got this for fairly light duty use to safely & conveniently carry my laptop, accessories, and a few files between between work buildings and home. My computer measures 15 x 10 x 1 inch. It slips in the top zip compartment very easily with a little room all around. I can fit a few file folders in with my PC. The padded pocket in the main compartment is padded & softly lined to protect my mouse. The front pocket unzips 3 sides to open for full access to plenty of small pouches & pen pockets plus a zip compartment for securing items I don't want to have loose. This is big enough regular file folder of documents, too, depending on how many chargers, etc. need to be carried. Since I just use this locally, I gave 4 starts for durability and sturdiness. I'd love to use this for travel. I tend to be hard on travel bags and am a bit concerned that the plastic portions of the strap connectors might be challenged by heay loads and rugged handling. (Pro-tip: Carry a set of good sized carabiners to keep things together ..just in case.)

The 15.6" bag inside depth is actually 1" shorter depth than listed with only 15" usable depth because of its rounded corner design. My 15.5" deep laptop fits just fine until you try to zip it up, then the zipper hits the corners of the laptop and cannot zip closed! It needs at least 1/2" - 3/4" more depth, so only expect 15" USABLE DEPTH (NOT 16" AS DESCRIBED) if you buy this bag. When I bought this I figured that I would still have 1/2" extra space all around but no way. I guess the rule of thumb now is to add at least 1" extra to your laptops length and width dimensions to be sure. I had to order the Targus 16" bag to be able to zip it up (will let you know), I will probably still keep this bag as I don't want to hassle with returning it in this Covid era. Would be nice bag if the description was correct or if they had a 16" version!

Lots of room
Plenty of room for my laptop, and a cooling pad underneath, along with the mouse and all the wiring. I am very happy with this bag. And recommend it to anyone who is in need of a laptop bag.

Great smart looking bag
Fits my 15 inch laptop, mouse, power cable in easily with room for extra bits and pieces when required. Only had it for a few days so can’t really comment on durability however it looks fit for purpose and sturdy enough to stand up to general wear and tear. Looks smart in plain black with just the black sewn line details, all good.

A Nice basic bag
This bag works fine for me. My only nigle is the is no clear space for the power lead/lump or a mouse. If it is a simple bag that you need this will do nicely

I love it
This was exactly what I was looking for and at a great price. So roomy and with lots of different pockets, an adjustable elastic strip to keep the laptop in place and a choice of short or long handles. It's good quality.
