Great find
This briefcase was purchased to replace my Samsonite briefcase. Thought this was expandable due to stitch pattern. Oh well. The hinges are tight. Leather is real. Quality is better. Price was half of what I paid for last briefcase.

Sturdy and Well-Crafted
If you are interested in purchasing a briefcase that is affordable and practical, then this is a good purchase. I am very pleased to have purchased this briefcase. I am not a briefcase buff. I have always owned a briefcase and typically carried one to work. This case is stylish. I got the black one with the stitched strip down the middle. The hardware (latches) look nice. Very polished brass look. The hinge holds the lid open very well. I carry a very heavy laptop in it, specifically a dell G7 laptop that fits perfectly. The inside leather is incredibly soft and tan. The outside leather feels soft but sturdy. Very small crumbs and link particles can get in the stitched outside leather areas. However, a quick hand wipe fixes that problem. The pockets hold a passport nicely. Expo markers fit nicely. I use fountain pens, and they snuggly fit into the pen pockets. The handle is very sturdy and comfortable. The briefcase does not appear to distort when carrying a heavy laptop. Alignment of the lid is very nice. Overall, I feel like this briefcase is very practical and I will likely purchase the brown one as well.

Real leather. Sturdy. The finishings are a bit clumsy but the unit is truly solid. It is a bit heavier than I expected which means that, once filled with documents, it might be a bit too much for me but I can recommend it to other people because it truly IS solid. It is quality leather and has a nice burnished sheen to it.

Don’t get those vinyl or “bonded” leather ones. This looks really nice, and is similarly priced as those vinyl ones.

Much better durability than expected
I bought this briefcase for daily use. It hold all the items I need. What surprised me is how durable it is. I have a 13 month old that likes to stand on things and throw tennis balls down the stairs. He has done both with my briefcase. It is unharmed and the items stayed in place even after tumbling down the stairs. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Actual Leather Case!
Great brief case. Would be a five except the springs on the latches fail and are not to the same high quality standards as the rest of the product.

NOTE EXPANDABLE FEATURE!
When I first opened the packaging to this case, I had all of the negative comments that are associated with this item (on amazon.com). I looked all around the case to see and imperfections or defective materials. That's when I came across the dreaded sealing of the bottom of the case. The part I'm referring to is the bottom of the case, from the position where you're opening the case upwards. It seemed that the sealant/adhesive holding the two pieces together was coming off :( HOWEVER, I then realized that this was the expandable compartment capability the case has! My first reaction was that this case was a phenomenal piece of art! I must admit, this IS my first briefcase, so when it comes to comparing and contrasting, I lack true expert knowledge on briefcases. Having said that, I'm very glad I made this purchase! The type of leather this briefcase consists of IS genuine leather. Not I know that genuine leather is deemed at the lower end of the leather scale, but really all critics: do you really think a top grain or full grain briefcase would only cost $200? I'm extremely impressed with the item, would buy from this brand again! Setting the locks was extremely easy as well, I've attached 2 photos with instructions on how to do it!

really good leather and interior quality
The case arrived on the day it was estimated, really good leather and interior quality, I had a Vinyl Leatherette Samsonite Attache case for 35 years, the locking clasp finally lost its spring but still works but I have to pry it open. This one is the same size, but deeper so it holds more stuff. As well I Love pleasant surprises, on the inside wall on top, at the back is a separate compartment that holds a large Tablet perfectly and separate pocket for cords etc. beside it....bonus! The only issue I have is that in the USA this case sells for $100.00, and I had to pay $185.00 in Canada. There were no instructions on how to set the combination locks but I will figure it out. I am hoping this will last at least 10 years..

Impressive
Very happy with this product. It feels very sturdy and well made. Hinges, handle and locks are good quality. The leather is beautiful, feels nice and looks great. Gold finishes are a nice touch. Practically, it is exactly what I needed. This product was made with care and was well worth the price.

Excelent briefcase
Not complains, good quality, good material, good looking. An improvment suggestion could be to add velcro belts for laptops, you know for millenials vintage, not for hipsters I don't like hipsters xD
