Excellent heavyweight paper

I bought this printmaking paper to try the technique of boiled ecoprints, using leaves and other botanicals to make art prints, which I then use for greeting cards. Literally you boil the paper and leaves (sandwiched together in a bundle and tied with twine, video tutorials abound) for about 45 minutes. The 100% cotton allows dyes and pigments to be absorbed, and as you can see from the drying prints, the paper does not fall apart . It is very good quality printmaking paper. I have tried this technique in past years using watercolor paper, mixed media paper, heavy cardstock. This is definitely superior.

The best paper I've bought for painting acrylic so far! It only comes with 15 sheets so I don't use it until I'm sure I have my painting ready and set to go and I know it's going to look good so I don't waste the "good" paper! LOL

Good budget buy for block prints.

I took a printmaking class in college, and I really enjoyed woodcut and linoleum reduction relief printing. The papers I was required to use in college was not very budget friendly, so I wanted to look at lower-cost alternatives that wouldn't skimp too much on the final print quality. I decided to go ahead and get a pad of this heavyweight paper to try it out. I haven't pulled a print with this paper yet, but I can tell that so far it meets my expectations. The paper is a nice thickness, and has a reasonably nice tooth to it, and it seems that it'll take ink well. It doesn't have the deckle edging that a lot of fine artists seem to prefer, but that's not very important to me. Good to know: I use AKUA water-based inks and a baren for pulling prints. I don't know how this paper will perform for oil-based inks or a press.

Product arrived damaged

The product itself is good, but it arrived water damaged. About half of each sheet of paper is unusable.

Good for intaglio

Used this paper for an intaglio class, worked very well but needed to soak a lot longer than other printmaking papers I’ve worked with (BFK). If you are using a press, it should be fine!

this stuff is pretty damn good

Hey there gang, I draw on this paper instead of making prints. I use Rives BFK if I'm going to make prints. That said, this stuff is pretty damn good, takes a variety of media well (ink, pen, pencil, conte crayon, gouache). Only issue is using an eraser causes tearing on the paper and then you realize the core of the product is not good. Look, for what it costs this is a great product and the 8x10" size awesome because I don't have to tear down other paper to draw on.

Arrived damaged

The paper itself is great quality but knocked a star off just because the pad had obviously been the first one in a pack and had a Stanley knife slice right across the middle which had gone through the first few pieces of paper as well as the cover which was disappointing and a silly warehouse error really. I would buy the paper again though.

lovely weight and quality

I purchased this paper for some new gel print projects and it is lovely to work with. Nice weight, easy to work with, and holds ink nicely. Will order this product again.
