Works well, easy to use

Black and Decker has upped it's game.
The media could not be loaded. Update at bottom: The video says it all. Great product....especially for around the house stuff...even medium to somewhat heavy projects this thing will still hold it's own. It fits well in the hand....it's not crazy heavy like some drills can be when they have to have lots of power....all the attachments are stellar....and you get a lot for your money. Would buy again....but I don't think I'll have to for a long time. It's strong...and doesn't overheat. Black and Decker has upped it's game. P.s. I was not paid or given any compensation for this review. I genuinely like these products. Update: 3-25-18 So I had to laugh considering I just made my review on this drill and gave it glowing marks THE FOLLOWING DAY...it gave me crap and almost caught on fire. So here's the skinny. I was using this drill to mix some stuff (grout, mortar and cement etc) in a 5 gallon bucket that wasn't necessarily easy but I figured with how strong this drill has been that it wouldn't flinch at all, but man did it...and BIG TIME...it was smoking like crazy and then had that zapping sound you hear from power lines and....cracking. I made sure to leave it outside and put it on a surface that wouldn't create any problems if the worst should happen because I literally thought this thing was going to catch on fire. Smoke was going everywhere. I was stunned that this thing complained so aggresively. The weird thing is that I followed up with the cordless drill and it did this without much issue. It wasn't that it was overheated or had been masssively overused by this point because it was fresh right before this happened. The only thing I can guess is that the power drill is more comfortable spinning really fast. Running it at a slower speed so you don't make a mess like I was trying to do...might have been an issue for it. I don't know...I don't have the answers. All I would say is that for anything that's going to be run at full power....and within easy to medium level of difficulty you're going to be ok..but push this baby too hard and she'll remind you that she's the economy class. Stay away from pushing that line and she'll have you thinking that you're using the best in the world. I still don't have any regrets with this purchase. It still runs, I just know where it's limits are now. They're still impressive considering the cost etc. But if you want industrial strength, just remember it's meant to be home use to medium level of intensity. The high level of difficulty should be left to the names you know so well. Regards

Handy Tool
I wanted a drill that plugged in because I get sick and tired of having to charge something before I can use it. This little guy is perfect.

Solid build
I got this as I got tired of using battery packs, which cost more than the drill itself. Yeah, you got to plug into an outlet, but for a person like me, who uses a drill maybe once a month, not a big deal. You will need a good extension for better maneuverability. This is built strong and should last me for at least 10 years. I do recommend getting a few good/strong bits.

I was pleasantly pleased with the ease of use and responsibility of Amazon
Considering the original order never showed up, and was not likely the fault of Amazon but the postal service or a random thief, Amazon's service was amazingly simple and straight forward. With a simple click, a new order was made for the same product. Although the overall time took longer than expected, each distinct order arrived very quick. I was pleasantly pleased with the ease of use and responsibility of Amazon. This experience has given me more confidence in ordering from Amazon. I ordered the Drill,Jigsaw and Trim saw all together. The product packing itself, was reasonable. They are hardware tools and are not "fragile" but air cushions were used to guard it from shipping damage. The jigsaw blade was not in the Black and Decker jigsaw package. I found it loose in the Amazon Box. The Matrix drill is not powerful. I like it but it needs more torque strength. Trim Saw: I was able to cut a piece of Bella wood red oak hardwood flooring 3/4" thick by 3 1/2". It worked fine. On the stair nose the blade cut fine on first pass but blade would not rotate when the board was flipped and the blade was inserted into the original cut. Had to lift hanging end (short piece) before blade could rotate. The clamping force in the grove froze the blade rotation. (Update: I found out the saw blade had come lose. After tightening it it works ok. So even with the new product, check the blade is on tight.) (The blade will only cut 1inch deep). I also Just tried to cut the tip of a fresh Christmas tree (diameter about 1/2 ") with the trim saw attachment (tree was upright); it struggled, the blade did not rotate when it was against the stem. I had to allow it to spin away from the stem and it eventually cut it. This was a simple, effortless task with a hand saw. The trim saw will cut but the power is low on the tool. The Drill: Again the power is lacking. It will drill and screw in to the hardwood but feels under powered. Drilled some new bracket holes (3 1/2" and 3/4") into a compressed wood wardrobe. worked just fine. There is an adjustable clutch but all my uses have been on the highest setting (I believe it was the drill setting past 10). The Jigsaw: I have not really used it yet. (update: Jigsaw works nicely. cuts well.) Overall product quality is good. The parts seem durable and sturdy, including the three attachments. Releasing the attachments needs a little extra effort. It took me a couple of attempts. Perhaps it still needs to be "broken in". For limited use and simple tasks this tool offers a variety of useful functions that help simplify your work. However it is lacking in power. (Update: I have used this drill frequently and I am pleased with the results. If you take your time and do things properly, you can accomplish a lot that would require large, expensive tools. I also purchased the Oscillating attachment. It is helpful in tight situations and to cut of nail head and such. The oscillating attachment came with a detail sander attachment for the attachment (you can switch the blade for the sander). Overall for the cost of all of the functionality, it is well worth the price in contrast to the amount needed for multiple tools.)

plenty of power. Easy to switch attachment
I have used this for a few months now, and it has worked well. I use the drill most, but also got the 3" circular saw attachment and have been very happy with it. Quick to swtich between these two. I don't have a table saw, but with this attachment I don't think I would need it - unless I plan to do a lot more of this type of cutting. Usually I use my miter saw for short cuts, but this is great for longer straight cuts with lighter lumber or panels, not too thick or hard. My last drill, the Ryobi - corded model D47C lasted a long time (5-6 years I think), and was due for replacement.

works well
A little disappointed with torque, I was hoping for more ruggedness, as I have a battery powered drill.

Worked for 5 minutes
Used it for about five minutes before it started to smell like it was burning. I stopped using it and it sounded like it was on fire and started smoking. Sent messages and emails to Black and Decker numerous times since buying it and no response ever. Don't waste your money! You really find out what a company is like when you have a defective product. I have 4 of the matrix attachments from the cordless version but the battery takes way too long to charge and doesn't last long so I advise not to bother with the cordless version either.
