Another Cheap Tool No One Has Stolen

There are big names in the power tool market, we all know them. Dewalt, Milwaukee, Makita, Ryobi, Tim the Toolman Taylor, Handy Manny, and to some extent Kobalt. These are the names you go to when you want a quality tool to get a hard job done right. The kind of hard disgusting job that you finish, and you're like, "Well I'm about to get stalked. Great job me." Well, this is a BLACK + DECKER so don't expect any of that. This is more like, "Well it took a few shots of my trusty gin and a couple off brand beers, but...I did it. I can pay my rent this month, as long as I avoid looking in a mirror. The flowers of my youth grow brighter and somehow less vivid with each passing moment. Where did it all go so wrong?" That's what using this BLACK+DECKER 20V MAX* Cordless Drill is like. Now don't get me wrong, only a fool would buy a BLACK+DECKER and expect top of the line quality. Like a marriage of convenience (or any marriage *up top*), you settle for one of these when you want something cheap, and you don't want anyone to run off with it. In my case, I already had a bunch of these batteries lying around from the BLACK+DECKER Powerseries Extreme Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner I got for the office. That was a good vacuum, and I stand by that review, but we ALL know the deal. I'd trade that thing in for a Dyson or this drill for any of the names I listed, any day of the week. Now there's nothing wrong with ol' one tooth Brenda down at the Domino's. She's a good (if not hideous) hardworking woman, but if three tooth Brittany at the Pizza Hut gives you a call, you pack up your Walmart bag of the nine things you own, and you sneak out that window. With that said, this works fine for smaller jobs, and not one of our BLACK+DECKER products have been stolen out of the office. Sometimes settling isn't so bad. At least this won't add to the insult of settling for it, by asking you to go to marriage counseling. I already accepted this is what I got, and now I gotta work to keep and maintain THIS?!! BLACK+DECKER, the trusty quiet spouse of the tool world. BLAM! there's your marketing campaign right there. Swindle out.

Great for odd jobs around the home...

My old B&D finally gave up the ghost and I had to get anew one. Since I had all the accessories from my old unit, I just needed to replace the tool. This came with a battery, so now I have an another back up battery, Runs great. Easy to use and the battery life is fine foe typical small jobs around the house. Good value for a small price.

Great compact drill-driver

Has all the necessary features: multi-setting clutch, keyless chuck, LED work light, long-lasting battery, phillips-standard bit included. No carrying case, but a good value and I just toss it in my larger tool bag anyway.

Excellent Drill !

Excellent drill! Works great on concrete with 1/4-inch to 4-inch drill bits. This drill is for occasional light work and not for commercial use but it does get the job done if you don't have a concrete drill. Happy with the purchase.

Lo mejor que he comprado

Sin durarlo compraría Miles de estos taladros si fuera a ocuparlos. Ya tiene año y medio que lo tengo aproximadamente. Lo he ocupado para hacer muebles para pulir varios carros. Incluso ara pulir piezas con brocas de afilar lo he utilizado como uso rudo perforado concreto. Se me ha caído incluso. Y sigue funcionando de maravilla. Practicamente mi taladro no tiene descanso alguno. Ahorita lo estoy ultimando cómo cepillo con una broca de detalle automotriz y lo ocupo para lavar alfombras tapicería casi de uso diario desde hace muchos meses. Y jala de maravilla. Comenté por qué siento que vale la pena con algo tan genial y en realidad ya le agarre cariño por todo el uso y jamás me deja botado. La pila muy duradera.

Útil pero con limitaciones

Lo agarre en oferta en 700 pesos mexicanos, se me hizo buen precio. El taladro es ligero y útil pero perforar concreto no es tan eficiente. Si bien podrás perforar concreto tardarás más de lo usual y necesitarás ejercer más fuerza física para hacerlo. Para trabajos comunes del día a día y poner uno que otro cuadro en la pared ocasionalmente está bastante bien. Si quieres un trabajo más profesional necesitaras otro taladro.

Small, yet powerful

Bought this because the charger of my older larger drill died, and I could not find a replacement. I had some doubts as to the power of this new one based on its smallish size (compared to my old one), but was very pleasantly surprised at its power (torque is amazing). Have not had it long enough to comment on battery life, but so far, so good.

Buen taladro

Por el precio y lo practico yo le doy 4 estrellas, pero si comento que es para uso ligero taladra en madera y aluminio sin problema y el atornillador es para tornillos o pijas de 1 1/2" . Con tornillos más grandes truena y le cuesta trabajo. A mí me a funcionado muy bien porque tengo más de un taladro y por eso puedo ahorrar bastante tiempo. En general a mí me gustó mi compra.

Doesn't seem sturdy enough for a drill .

I like that it arrived faster when I ordered it. I found it feels too light weight as the material I am going to be using it on is sturdy wood. I know that next time I will pay a little bit more to get a more heavy duty drill. As I hope that this drill lasts a long time. My other drill I had for several years and was more sturdier.
