Solid, adjustable work light powered by the same batteries as my tools
This light is a nice addition to my tool bag. I have the Black & Decker Matrix system tools, and they share the same battery as this light. Since I already have several of those 20V batteries, and I tend to keep them charged at all times (you never know when a home repair is going to need doing, after all) I should always have access to a good work light with lots of run time. Just keep in mind that you get ONLY the light, so that if you don't already have the 20 volt batteries that this unit needs you'll have to pick up one or more separately. The batteries connect to and disconnect from the light easily, in the same fashion as they connect to the tools in the Matrix collection. The head on this light adjusts so that it can be directed wherever I may need it. The batteries these use will provide hours of bright light, and of course can be recharged to be ready when needed again. The handle is comfortable and the unit is very light, but of course gains some heft once a battery is connected. There is no brightness adjustment - it's either "on," or "off." Still, this should be a very useful addition to my tool bag.

The Portable Workshop Lamp
This LED workshop lantern is the reason why I bought a separate battery and charger to add to my MATRIX kit. It is very, very light, it shines better than an incandescent lamp and I can tilt the light source at virtually any angle. The LEDs, though, may get warm after long-term continuous use between recharges.

Not very bright

Portable light
I needed which was portable and able stand in place while I worked on stuff. This fit my battery, was a great price so I bought it. Love it. !

A good light for my existing batteries.
Only purchased this light since it fits the multiple # of B&D batteries that I already own. Surprising the light is fairly bright with a light beam similar to a small spotlight/flashlight. It can also be placed on a flat surface with a beam that can be angled differently. The base is large compared to the small amount of led lights on this flashlight so I will assume that the light can remain on for an extremely long time. It is NOT a lantern so do not expect it to light up a room. It could be used as an emergency light at night for a disabled vehicle or looking for some items in a dark place. I find it difficult to use it while working, unless you can place it on a flat surface close to where you are.

Buona l'idea per un ulteriore utilizzo dell'ecosistema di batterie B&D, ma la torcia è un po' poco.
Avendo numerosi dispositivi B&D che utilizzano le batterie 18V al litio, ho preso anche questa piccola torcia per i lavori in casa o per le emergenze. La potenza luminosa tuttavia, considerando anche la disponibilità di batterie da 4Ah, è piuttosto limitata. Si tratta di 8 led piuttosto piccoli che fanno una luce tendenzialmente fredda. Un'occasione persa.

Buena linterna a buen precio
Es buena fuente de iluminación y lo mejor es que es compatible con las baterías recargables de Black and Decker (pero no incluye batería) así que pude utilizarla sin problemas. Los leds son 10 a comparación de la publicación donde se ven 12, ilumina bien pero la luz es más distribuida (como en un celular) y no tan dirigida como en una linterna convencional. El cuello que rota es muy útil para trabajar en ángulos incómodos.

Nice and bright, wish the flashlight was slightly more articulate
I use this way more than I thought I would. I've been using it a lot for vehicle repairs and switching out a friends outlets at his house. The biggest complaint I have is that the flashlight head isn't as articulate as I had hoped. Makes placement of the light kind of tricky. From the pictures, you can see that when bent down, it goes from -100 degrees down to +80 degrees when bent upright. 180 degrees of rotation is adequate, but usually requires a lot of adjusting when trying moving from spot to spot. Pros: -Uses standard 20v B&D Batteries, which is convenient -very light, with and without batteries -Small, easy to pack Cons: -not very articulate, around 180 degrees total rotation -Could be brighter

A flashlight with very bad light
Given the price, given the 20V battery, given the effort that went into the rest of the form factor, this flashlight should have been a lot brighter, a lot more full-spectrum. But it's dim, and very peaky in the blue end of the spectrum, which bugs out my eyes. Very disappointing that they flubbed the core purpose of a flashlight: the light.

Perfect!
As a test, I left this flashlight on all night...it was still running in the morning...perfect...wow, very impressed. I love the ergonomic handle and excellent-feeling quality. It sits securely on the battery as a base. This flashlight is a great way to use your 20-Volt batteries while your garden tools sleep for the winter. The LED's make a nice beam-pattern. Love the tilting head as well.
