Works well
I am in GA and have an 8x12 greenhouse. Before I got this unit, I was using a 1500w space heater from my office area. This unit does what I need - it keeps the temp 10-15 degrees higher than the outside temp. We're always going to be limited by what the electric wiring will handle, so I know I'll need to supplement with another heat source if we get temps below 25 and expected that. Overall am very pleased.

They took care of me! They were quick and sent a new one
I have an L-shaped greenhouse and bought two of these heaters to maintain the temperature over our cold winter. They seemed to do a good job and were easy to use and I didn’t have any trouble with them until one of them quit working after three months. Evidently the element is no longer working. It blows cold air only. I invested quite a bit of money into the two of those thinking that they would last after seeing good reviews. Now that I look at the bad reviews, I’m not the only one that’s had this problem. Redeemed!!! I contacted the company, and there was a courteous service person who took care of me and got me set up for a new unit for replacement of my other one with no cost to me. It was sent quickly, and I am very happy.

Keeps Temp Just Above Freezing
We live in South Texas Hill Country with an occasional hard freeze for a few days. This heater keeps our 8 X12 greenhouse with two sides all windows, not insulated, just barely above freezing even though set at 60. Pretty expensive unit but could not find anything with these reviews. Maybe a second unit would be better for our not insulated greenhouse but concerned it would trip our GFI. (Added Heat Lamps last year and it tripped.) Over all good heater so far. Used for one season.

An additional 2 months to be able to grow, yes please!
With our low spring temperatures in Massachusetts, even with my well insulated 6 year old 8x10 Grandio greenhouse, overnight temperatures drop into the 30’s. While my plants didn’t freeze, they were stressing so I decided to invest in a heater. I was torn between purchasing one with or without the digital thermostat, it was a pretty wide difference in price. I decided to go with the thermostat & I’m glad I did! Initially we thought the item was faulty but if you carefully follow the set up instructions, it works very well. Pay attention to the red, yellow& green lights on the thermostat itself, the set up is NOT intuitive, follow the directions!! I do have to get out there mid-morning now that the weather is warming up, the thermostat reaches an overheat point my well insulated site. I need to either open the doors or shut the thermostat off (it keeps its settings when I turn it back on in the early evening). It will emit a high pitched sound alerting you to high temps within the greenhouse. Hit the power button to silence, then again to turn off. I like the feature, it keeps my plants from “cooking” but I imagine if you ignore it, it may overheat & smoke as another reviewer commented. Knowing how it functions & responding to its warnings, I don’t think it’s a hazard at all. It’s accurate to within 3-5 degrees to a thermometer I keep in my greenhouse, the thermometer tends to read higher than the unit. The wire attached to the thermostat sensor is quite long, I have it hanging from a cross support, at about eye level, well out of the path of the warm air of the blower. I keep the thermostat dry but have accidentally lightly sprayed the heater itself while watering my plants, no ill effects yet! I AM using a heavy duty outdoor extension cord, it is the only thing plugged into a small outbuilding & it has its own circuit. I know it’s not recommended but hasn’t tripped once in the time I’ve been using it, which is a little over a month. So far, I believe this is a great purchase, only time will tell on longevity. Summer is around the corner, so I hope after this spring when I set it back up in late fall/early winter it will be as functional as it is now. I feel confident this has easily added more than a month on either side of our growing season. I searched for a long time & did a lot of research before I took a chance on this heater. I’m confident that if you’re looking for a reliable, compact heater for a small greenhouse, this fits the bill. It does exactly what I needed it to do and it actually performs better than I anticipated after reading the reviews.

Works great for my greenhouse
I have a cheap 5 ft by 5 ft greenhouse that I wanted to overwinter my plants in. I initially started out using my electric oil heater. It wasn't able to keep up with the coldest days and my electric bill went way up. I bought this heater last year and it has been able to keep up even with the coldest days. I live in coastal NC so we aren't talking northern winters here. However, I now can compare the electric bills from last year and this heater has saved me $20-30 per month so far. I am very happy with it. We got down to the teens a few nights and barely above freezing around Christmas and it never dropped below 38 in there. The setting is at about 42. My only complaint is finding that finding the right temperature setting can take a while. I monitor the temperature in my greenhouse so I can make small changes to get it right. Otherwise works great!

Recommend this to northern growers!
This is an amazing heater! I live in Central Alberta Canada. And over the last month, September, we have had 10 nights below freezing thus far and my 16x7x7ft greenhouse has not dropped below 12 degrees with the heater set at 15degrees celcius. The place I'm going testing is the far end of the tent and the heater is opposite to it. I cannot recommend this heater enough. It will expand my grow season well into November.

Lower Your Expectations
The fan and thermostat arrived in good working order. If you live in a cold climate (like Canada), don't think for a minute that any small plug-in heater will work adequately. I'm using it in a pop-up greenhouse, 9x9 feet, only partially insulated but completely sealed. Last night the temperature was down to 12C (53.6F). The greenhouse, with the heater running at full blast, stayed at 16C (60F). That tells me if I don't insulate with four layers of bubble wrap, at least, I might as well not use the heater at all. When the outside temperature falls to -25C (-13F) as it frequently does, this heater will do nothing. I had very low expectations for this unit and all others of its kind. They simply won't do the job. They're advertising it as a greenhouse heater but it's essentially the same as any other small electric heater. At -25C, it wouldn't heat the box it came in. Although it is in good working condition, the fan is very weak, barely causes a stir. A hair blow dryer produces much higher heat and airflow! In conclusion, I'm not knocking just this heater, but all heaters of this ilk. They're simply incapable of living up to the hype. The only place a heater of this kind would make a noticeable difference is in a very small room inside a solidly constructed, already furnace-heated home.

Seems robust but it’s not enough for sun-freezing temperatures.
First of all I should say I am happy with the product. After most of a winter of constant use, it’s holding up well. That said, if you’re looking to keep a greenhouse well above freezing temperatures all winter, you will likely need other supplemental heat sources. This will consistently keep the temperature of my greenhouse 6 to 10 degrees Celsius above the exterior temperature but that’s not going to be enough when the thermometer does a nose dive in January. We keep the thermostat set at 10 degrees and another electronic thermometer to warn us at 5 degrees Celsius. We’ve added a fan to the door which connects our house to the greenhouse and we use that to augment this heater. Our greenhouse is slightly bigger than the specs on this heater is rated four but not that much bigger; maybe an extra 25 ft.² and it is against the wall of a heated house on one side and situated in a very well protected area from high wind. The structure is also cedar halfway up the walls and on two sides which adds more insulation value than all glass or plastic. Overall, I don’t know of a better heater out there; especially for a central or eastern Canadian climate but this one is just not quite enough.

UPDATE - unit replaced....no hassle!
I was excited to get this product. It arrived well packed. I read ALL the instructions, then set it up in my living room to test the various settings. All was working well but it was rather noisy. Within minutes a bolt came flying off inside the casing. I unplugged the unit and examined it and it was the bolt/screw that keeps the fan on. Now both the bolt and the fan are loose inside the casing. I am outside the time period for Amazon return but it is obviously still on warranty since I only got it a month ago. It will be interesting to see if the warranty is honoured without hassle. And meanwhile I don't have a heater for my greenhouse. UPDATE: Contacted Biogreen and they had a new unit delivered to me within a week. It’s working great keeping plants warm in the greenhouse.

Low output
I installed this heater in my wife's greenhouse which is just under 120 sq ft. At an outdoor temperature of 5C the highest the heater was above to attain inside was 8C. It is advertized as rated for a120 sq ft greenhouse. We are left it runnig continuously but no luck. The heater does not perform to it's own advertising. I paid $350 for it & it was a total waste of my money. Don't buy it.
