The case is garbage, jack works fine, but range of lift is very very limited
I bought this set specifically to lift an Acura Integra and do some work underneath. I also got a pair of the Big Red 3 Ton Jack Stands so I could raise all 4 corners of the car. The jack works fine, but the actual lift range is very limited. When I jack the car from the front center lift point, I can not get it high enough with this jack to even get the jack stands under it behind the wheels at their lowest setting. I was hoping to have the car up at near the highest jack stand setting. Fat chance of that. I had to put a couple of boards under the jack just to get the front of the car high enough to get the stands under it at all. That's not really a complaint or a failing of the jack, but it's definitely something to be aware of. The stands themselves seem perfectly adequate, at least so far (I've only had it a couple of days). If you are looking at this one because it comes with a case and that's a nice little extra feature, you should know that the case is complete garbage. Do not let its inclusion sway you toward this set. The case is trash. The blow molded interior of the case (into which the jack is supposed to sit and be held still) is so thin that most of it was broken out and crushed before the unit was delivered. All you're left with then is a cheap plastic box that the jack and stands rattle around in, providing no actual protection or support at all. Bottom line for this set, it works ok, but an Integra is a pretty small car, and this is barely sufficient to lift it up off the ground far enough to get the stands under it. I would recommend going with a bigger jack and skipping the attraction of the cased set. That's what I would do knowing what I know now.

Works well for home garage
Wanted something cheap for occasional use in my home garage, as an alternative to the scissor jacks that come with the cars. This jack is much easier and faster to use than those. The plastic case was cracked in transit, but the jack is what I cared about. Used it to raise my RAV4 front end using the under-engine lift point. It was fast and easy. I put jack stands under the side front jack points and lowered carefully, with no problem. For lowering, I used the handle to very carefully turn the release valve, and was able to lower slowly. Only issue was, one of the swivel wheels was sideways while lifting, and it didn’t right itself, gouging my garage floor paint. Not a showstopper, as I’ll try some spray lube and ensure it’s angled correctly before lifting next time. Happy with the purchase.

Good for a sedan
It is not that expensive and works well for any sedans. You have to use a wood or something to achieve the required height.

Lasted Less than a Year
I got this set so I could do small maintenance jobs for my Mazda3. I used it for the first time this week to do my own oil change. The job was a success and actually got it done pretty quickly, but had some frustrations which I'll discuss later. If you're looking to get more serious jobs done I'd recommend a better jack. For occasional use and smaller jobs you might be satisfied with this one, but pay attention to the problems I had with the jack. But first, there were a few great things about this jack set, so I'll start with the positive. PROS: Size - This jack is pretty tiny. In terms of lifting capacity it could be a negative but this jack can go where no jack has gone before. I've used a large heavy duty floor jack on my Mazda and it's tough. Lift points on my car are pretty far back and between that and the fact that my car is pretty low to the ground it's difficult getting the jack under a jack point. This little Torin can roll right under and lift with no problems. Case - Nothing fancy about the case but since I don't have a lot of storage space in my house/shed it's great that everything packs away neatly into this case. It still weighs close to 50 pounds so it's not extremely portable but it's great for storage. The downside was that the case came cracked. I could probably return it, but the jack and stands are heavy and the case is bound to break eventually anyway. Price - It's great for the money considering it comes with both the jack and stands. Good choice for a first jack set. Maybe keep the jack stands and get a better jack later on. CONS: Jack - This jack is rated for lifting up to 2 tons. My Mazda3 is 1.5 tons so I expect that I should be able to lift it without too much trouble. Not the case. Once the car was mostly up off the suspension I could barely work the handle for the jack. You might be able to extend the handle with a pipe to get more leverage. I don't think you should need to if the load is under the 2 ton limit. And the handle seems to be somewhat flimsy so I would worry about it bending if I were to try extending with a pipe. Eventually when I got the car up high enough the jack let out a loud "Ping" sound. I'm not sure what it was, whether I reached the end of the jack's range (doubtful as all four wheels were still on the ground) or if it was the "overload protection" kicking in even though my car is well under the weight limit. Anyway, I didn't like the sound so I stopped and the car was high enough that I could let it down on the stands and still get under the car for the oil change. The difficulty may have been due to lifting from so far back under the car that the jack was taking more weight than if it had been further towards the front. But still, a 2 ton jack is a 2 ton jack, and the car is only 1.5 tons so in theory it should be able to take the full weight. My goal isn't to scare you away from this jack set. It's really not bad for the money. All in all I think this was one of the faster oil changes I've done on this car. Despite not getting the car completely off the ground (and maybe I could have if I just pushed a little harder, and might be easier with other cars), being able to get this jack under the car where I needed it helped to get the job done quickly. And also you're not relying on the jack itself for your safety, since you'll always be resting the car on the jack stands. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the jack stands. Would I buy it again? Maybe. I'll probably get some good use out of this jack and the jack stands are keepers. Sooner or later I'll definitely want to replace the jack. It's just not that great, but I think I can get by with it for now. UPDATE: I've had this jack almost a year now. I used it once more when I was changing the oil on my lawn tractor. I used this jack to lift one side and help the old oil drain out faster. This was a job that was more in the weight class this jack can handle (much less than the advertised 2 tons). Other than that the jack has been pretty much useless. I've tried using it on my Mazda a couple more times and it just can't lift it off the ground. It lifts a little ways but jacking beyond a certain point the car just slowly sinks back down. I've wasted too much time trying to get it to work, making sure the release valve is tight, etc. I've found it to be much faster to just use the scissor jack in my trunk, with jack stands of course. I left 2 stars on my review since the jack stands work at least.

Pretty nice set
The set comes in a carrying case. Well I am not sure if it was from the factory or from delivery but it wasn’t in it right. The box is a little messed up now and everything will not go back in it. It also popped the handle of the jack itself. It isn’t a big deal. Everything else is great and has done its job the way it should. I would buy again

Research is the Game! DON’T CHEAP OUT!
Do your research thoroughly, read everything, to the whole brand description down to what comes included and any other package labels, claims, and reviews. Long story short, I learned the hard way. If you’re going to invest on something like this for future use and long term use, don’t cheap out. If you’re on a budget them save up. This is something you shouldn’t cheap out because this is something that is either going to save your life or get injured.

Works very well.
The jack works well - I have lifted the axle of my 5500 pound trailer. It would be nice if it had a handle for carrying or moving the jack - I often accidently pull off the top metal cover plate.

Reliable and convenient
The jack itself is very reliable and easy to use. The carrying case makes it convenient to store in your trunk for any occasion. Price is competitive.

Parfait!
Je connaissais le produit, je voulais l'acheter depuis un moment mais je le trouvais trop dispendieux. Là, à ce prix de rabais, juste wow ! Très bon cric, bonne qualité!
