Motorcycle is very solid while lifted
This lift is very well built and the motorcycle is rock solid while using it. I used straps from the bike to the lift just to be safe but I very much doubt they were required. I will not hesitate to use it anytime I need.

Triple check the safety strap / bar - read instructions
It works but it’s tough to manipulate the jack to place the bike on it and make sure the weight load is even and not damaging the underside, you have to get it right underneath the bike, manipulate it with one had while holding the bike off the kickstand (kickstand can be down) so the bike it at riding height and not tilted to the side (the jack doesn’t go down far enough to place it under with the kickstand down (it just cannot be leaning to the side) it barely makes it underneath with the usually riding height. I can’t imagine how it would work on a ‘lower’ version but for my standard height 2014 FLHTCU the fit is tight but manageable, must have a wide radius to work in and a flat floor, even the ridges in my driveway concrete gave me some headaches - once it’s is placed in the right position (I kept checking because I was afraid of damaging the bike) it works great. Handles the weight without straps and is actually pretty sturdy especially at this price - I won’t roll it around my garage unless I need to, I like that but it get the bike up about a 12” and works beautiful Of course with 2 people no problems with with getting it under the bike. It pretty much came assemble, it’s heavy and I would just check the safety bar and make sure it it pulled in far enough if the jack slips (safety bar is supposed to hold in place and does without strain) I had to bend my in so it hit the correct tabs and didn’t just drop, the jack can be pulled from either direction because of the handle setup Love it - worth ever penny hope this helps

Wonderful product. Lifts my Honda GL 500 like it is almost weightless.
The only negative thing I can say about this motorcycle lift is that it should have come with some better instructions for putting it together. You have to anchor the lift mechanism by attaching it to the platform. To start with, you will need to completely open the relief value to let the lift depress completely. Once you do that, it is a snap to bolt it in and finish the set up. Once mine was set up, it worked like a champ. The safety lever can be somewhat aggravating when you are trying to slowly lower the bike down, but you learn to manage it with one hand on the bike and one of relief value while holding the safety down. I can't comment on the longevity of this product, but for helping to change the oil and change the rear tire, mine worked flawlessly. I will try to comment back after a year or so and report how this is holding up.....literally! Product update: 12.16.2014 Since I bought this lift, I bought a Honda VTX 1800, one of the heaviest bikes in the world. It picks it up like its a feather. I saw where one reviewer commented that this isn't too wide and I am guessing for some bikes, it might be a tad narrow. On my VTX, I have to make sure the two metal platforms are perfectly aligned under my bike so that it will center on the bike's frame and not lean to one side or the other. It helps to have a second person there to make sure if the like leans they can let the lift down and you can reposition the lift. It could be a lot wider and I suspect if this were a reoccurring issue, I would modify the platform. I do have to ride the rear tire over some paving stones to get the bike up an inch or two to allow for the lift to have enough room to get under the bike. So far I am very satisfied with this product but its like anything, some people aren't happy with it.

Very poor quality, even bad for China.
First of all, go elsewhere to get an item of this size. Amazon shipped this in the retail box so even though I had it sent "next day" the box was worn full of holes and falling apart. The jack is mostly assembled but one bolt had come apart so it was missing a bushing and washer that fell through the holes in the box. I didn't even attempt to get a replacement because I needed the jack by the weekend. I am a machinist and made the parts I needed myself to avoid a customer service debacle. The jack is of very poor quality, the welds are similar to the ones I made in 9th grade shop class. The beads sit on top of the steel, no penetration what-so-ever, meaning no strength. MIG wire ends hanging off all of the welds. Really pathetic. One of the holes that mount the bottle jack was not tapped all the way through so it wouldn't tighten all the way and the spacing wasn't right so the bolts just barely lined up with the holes. The rear wheels that lock are made from flimsy sheet metal and probably wont last very long. This locking wheel system is kind of worthless in this application because while the jack wont roll, it will rock and flex. For something like this screw down studs should be used, it makes a much more solid platform. I will probably drill holes and weld nuts to the base so I can add studs. A handle comes with this but doesn't mount to anything. It has a "c" shape on the end but it mates with nothing, if you just use it as a hook to pull the jack the bicycle grip handle just pulls off, what a joke. The safety catch arms barely grab the notch they are suppose to catch and the ends of them were obviously burned off with a cutting torch. 9th grader(D student)fabricating work. The jack this one replaced was a $69 Wal-Mart "GM Goodwrench" jack. The Quality of the Wal-Mart "GM Goodwrench" jack was far far better and it was better designed but after 5 years the bottle jack failed. Rather than spending $30 on a replacement bottle jack and the time to fit it I decided to just buy new. Wal-Mart doesn't carry the GM Goodwrench jacks anymore so I went for this one. I wish I would have just went to the local Harbor Freight and bought theirs so I could easily return it if there was a problem. The only things I like about this jack is it goes higher than most so it will take both wheels of my dual sport bike off the ground with plenty of room to spare, the release mechanism is very simple(which is what failed on my GM Goodwrench jack) and the upper bottle jack interface should work with most cheap bottle jacks if something fails it would be easy to fix. My bike weighs a bit over 400lbs I think it would be safe for that much weight but I would never want to put a heavy cruiser on this jack and most certainly not anything near 1500lbs. Just stay away from this one if you need something that works out of the box.

Missing hardware
It was missing hardware. Other than that it seems to be a good jack.

Serves the purpose
Exactly what I was expecting. Somewhere along the shipment the box ended up ripped and a nut fell out so I had to buy one to finish putting the jack together.

Motorcycle Jack
I got this Jack to replace an old one. It’s a pretty good model. The one thing that is a draw back is the lift arms are a little high. I have to put the bikes on pieces of boards to slide the Jack in.

Strong
I really like the unit. It easily handled my Polaris 850 that is fully loaded with additional accessories which makes it even heavier. It has lots of clearance under the machine for working. The ATV is fairly wide so getting the jack centered is a bit of an issue.
