Powerful Tool

I've had this triple hammer impact driver for about 5 years and just recently had to buy a replacement. It had driven hundreds of lag bolts and Timberlok structural screws before finally giving out. Having a full assortment of Hitachi / Metabo Tools and batteries, I just needed a bare tool replacement. It arrived in a plastic bag with an owners manual inside one of those Amazon padded envelopes. I found the packaging to be ridiculously insufficient but, luckily the tool was not damaged. As of this review, a "Blue" big box store is offering this exact same driver, with 2 batteries a charger a bag for the same price as this bare tool. That stings Amazon....That Stings Metabo.

Compact, powerful, delicate quieter

I love this thing. Powerful yet can be delicate and quiet and slow when it needs to. Loving the different mode settings to allow delicate operation vs max the power. I can drill into delicate wood as well vs fastening bolts. I almost don't need a drill driver(for weekend DIY-ers). PROs: Powerful, versatile, adjustable modes, good batt life. The most used power tool in my house at the moment. CONs: (room for improvement) Wish the LED light was located on the two sides of the driver collet, not singular at beneath it. It lights up the region of interest fine, the shadow created would be less with the side placements. It is better than the one that's at the bottom of the grip. Cannot remove the wrist strap without disassembly or destroying the strap.

Impressive

The newest addition to my Hitachi/Metabo HPT tool set, light weight long lasting run time water and dust resistant I've been using these tools for over 10 years professionally installing garage doors I have yet to wear any of there tools out. I've upgraded over the years but all the old batteries still are compatible with the new tools. The features on this gun are top notch with light mode normal mode power mode and self drilling screw mode it's a perfect impact gun in any situation, I will stand these tools up and run equal if not better than any blue yellow or red tool and do it at a 3rd the price for the tool or spare battery.

Great torque for 18v!....

Almost as strong as 36v with 8hr vs 4hr when used with big multivolt battery. Excellent Performer!

Certainly seems to be brand new

Product looks to be brand new as described, just doesn’t come in original box which I am fine with. I will update this review once I use it more

Extremely good value for the money.

I've been using this almost daily for 8 months with absolutely no complaints. Work provides milwaukee fuel tools but I prefer this impact by far. Overall better ergonomics (than milwaukee) and has survived a 12' fall off a scissor lift with just scratches.

I've had an older model for years, and I couldn't resist picking up a new one at this price..

Really loving this new driver. It's much smaller, quieter, and more powerful than my old model Hitachi, but it still uses the same batteries. I wasn't sure the adjustable speed settings would be that useful, but they are. My favorite setting is the "self drilling" screw mode. That setting also works great for taking screws out of wood since it ramps up the speed rather than having to slowly press the trigger manually. Highly recommend!

Great Drill

Been using it every day at work for a few weeks now, absolutely no complaints at all. At first I was confused with the drill on the “red” setting it seemed as though it didn’t have a lot of power. But after realizing that the settings on the drill are different and that the “blue” is what I actually wanted I’ve realized that there is actually no problems what so ever with this drill. Absolutely recommend and have 0 complaints.

the best

THIS THING KICKS A**!! seriously! whenever theres a GRK too big for the other brands i pull out this one . Just used it on a structure where we put 14" GRK through douglas fir. IT DOESNT GIVE UP We worked it so hard it was hot to the touch and the decorative front pieces came off but it just keeps going other impacts gave up after a few inches of GRK into fir triplle hammer sounds bad ass when it kicks into turbo mode metabo brand is seriously underrated and this thing is light almost too light but like i said it delivers where all my other impacts fail if you are wondering about getting metabo hpt brand tools just go for it all of thim are a joy to use so far I have the cordless nailers , circular saw and this impact I have other brands on my jobsite aswell, all have their positives and negatives but metabo hpt is the best by far.

Good powerful impact driver

Powerful driver. Lightweight and compact. Also pretty slick design. Fantastic multi-function settings for different tasks. Forward / reverse selector very sensitive - can easily be toggled 'off' by accident during operation, especially in reverse so takes a bit of getting used to if switching from another brand. Otherwise very satisfied.

Nice & light but powerful. Occasionally hit reverse accidentally. Slightly annoying. Hope it lasts as long as my 10 yr old hitachi which is stiil going strong
