Big bang for the buck

I am running this ethernet cable from my Orbi Mesh Router to my bluesound vault 2i streamer I bought this cable hoping it would give me some decent results. I was shocked at just how good music sounded coming from this ethernet cable. I wanted to find out just how good it was, so I compared it to an audioquest cinnamon cable, which is about 20 times the price of the amazon cable, not only did this cable keep up with the cinnamon cable, it provided a little more slam on the low end. Don't waste your time and money buying a high end cable. Trust me this cable gives you big bang for your money. My comparison was two different cables both about 5ft in length, hopefully you will get the same results with longer cables. The one negative aspect i found was it was little tight removing cable from router. Otherwise Fantastic!

Reliable so far, correctly wired, shielded

I only have a few of these, so take this with a grain of salt, but I haven't had any failures yet, unlike some of the other cables I've bought over the years. I confirmed that the cables are properly wired, and the shields are electrically connected end-to-end. I'm not about to cut one open to verify that the pairs are properly shielded, nor do I have test equipment to verify that these are wired correctly, but I can only conclude that the review I read complaining about the shield being disconnected got a bad cable (or bad batch of cables). I plan to order a few more of these. If I don't start trashing them pretty soon, you can assume they were all good.

Good speeds

Used this to hardwire a PlayStation. Getting 190-220mbps from the 500mbps service. Much better than the 12mbps relying on Wi-Fi. I got one of the cheaper flat 25’ roll that are on here and was only getting 50-60 at most so this was an obvious improvement.

Good throughput, but without the sturdiness of other cables

One of the main draws of Cat-7 / Cat-8 are the additional shielding and twists, reducing cross-talk, allowing the frequency to get higher than earlier categories and transmit more data. Other Cat-7 cables on this site are thicker, having separate foil sheaths internally, pair-sheaths (in some cases) and an outer foil sheath beneath a braided armoured shield on the outside. This one is flat and bendy, and therefore has much less shielding than "proper" Cat-7. Also, being flat, it means that bending it around complex corners can be a little irritating as the corners pop back out. However, in tests, these cables were getting a solid 800Megabit over a theoretical maximum of 1Gbit on my kit. Given protocol overheads, it's not the fastest cable I've got, but it loses out maybe only 5% to 10% on the 'fully shielded' variants. For a basics product, priced to match, it's pretty darn good, all things considered! Well worth the money.

Good quality 2.5/5/10gbe cable but somewhat pricy

I found Amazon Basics great quality for the price so far - but CAT7 is a bit OP (over-powered) and expensive - unless you really are running 10Gbe copper and need such a cable. But on a deal I said, let's try it. Like other CAT7 cables it is pretty thick as it is STP (each of the 4 pairs shielded) not just shielded (FTP) and hopefully using AWG27 copper wire not CCA or thinner like cheaper cables. Thus routing may be an issue as you are not meant to bend it too much and too far. [BTW - in the box it comes pretty wound up which concerned me a bit as I would have preferred less bent.] I do have a single 10Gbe RJ45 copper card but I'm not using a 10Gbe RJ45 switch but it has passed frequency diagnostics. It will naturally do 2.5 or 5Gbe with no issues. But unless cheap there's not much point to get a CAT7 cable unless you really think you will upgrade over 1Gbe in the next few years.

Oh dear. Cheap. Looks nice. But functionally garbage and excessive packaging.

Delivered in a thick plastic resealable bag ... inside a cardboard box! Silly. They look great - feels like quality cable and connectors. But oh dear these are actually shocking garbage -- the plugs don't fit standard sockets (e.g. on my Netget switches) - they wobble sideways and somehow manage to get snagged and stuck on the terminal contacts too. Absolutely horrendous to work with. I've never had such issues with Ethernet cables before, and I use a fair amount of them. Do not buy.

Great price for a really good cable

Wanted to renew some of my cables that run between my TV’s, consoles etc to make them a little longer so purchased this cable. Seems to be of good quality and performance is really good. Pros: Great price. Very durable. Speed is slightly faster in testing than my original cables (but not enough to physically notice a difference) Cons: None. Summary: Would highly recommend these cables.
