Inexpensive
I was looking for something inexpensive but durable for pattern instructions that I have downloaded and printed. Seem to do the job so far. They are light duty.

Functional
These report covers are a durable plastic. The description states they are 3 hole pronged, but only the black ones were. The blue covers have a slide on clip instead which I don't like. The "clear" front cover is cloudy/opaque not transperent. The folds are not crisp, they bow out and won't sit flat. They are functional, but not perfect.

A critic is the person who knows the cost of everything and the value of little.
These “highly serviceable” document protectors are an incredible value! I am constantly gathering notes and research for education information I find on the net. “Re-using” these covers allows me to best utilize my resources by using almost new product to organize and store my research. I’ve almost got as many research binders now than books. I don’t see them as used because They come in great shape and in some cases new. I’m a thankful that they re-sell and not just discard. All I can say is “thanks.”

Not what I expected
I think most of us are used to these that are made by Universal. Here my complaints: (1) The front plastic cover is not 100% transparent; it's slightly translucent. (2) The binding and back cover is made of pure plastic-like material. This gives more durability and rigidness, I'm sure, but that is also its downfall. It feels like I am holding on to some cheap plastic binder rather than a high quality report binder. Also, because of the plastic binder, the report does not close and stay closed properly; it's always about 1/2 inch open. This also takes up more space in your file cabinet. VERDICT: If you want to keep some documents printed and kept together for your own reference, this is great. If you want to use it as a handout for meetings/marketing, especially to management-types/customers, try another brand.

Good product, poor quality control
These report covers are great to hold my frequently used engineering standards, but the manufacturing quality control is lacking. When I received my first box of 25, I found 8 with misaligned center prongs (see photos). I did attempt to twist the center prong 180 degrees around, but it damaged the plastic spine. Amazon was quick to send a replacement box of 25, but I found another 8 with misaligned center prongs. Both boxes could have been from some freak batch, but the misaligned covers included both colors in both boxes. In the end I did receive 25 good covers, but it took 2 boxes to get there. If you order these, make sure you check every cover once received.

work for my purpose
these work fine and work for my purposes but they do not close and lay flat. The cover sits jutted up in the air on all of them.

Great durability with this item, great value too.
