Super plush and thick
A bit tiny - read measurements. Next size up was too expensive so I went with this one. Good for cat or small breed dog. My Cairn terrier curls up perfectly and he is 18 inches long and 10 inches tall.

Quality
I like this for my fur baby because it is soft and fits her crate just right. She likes it too.

Great product!
This works great for travel in the back of car or in a crate. Very soft, flexible yet sturdy.

Proven 5-star fleece pad, 4 years later and they've washed/held up great*
Just got it, left this fleece pad on the floor for my recently adopted rescued stray and left the room to do other stuff. I wish I could include a photo of it in 'action' with my 'teacup mastiff' (a compact 85 lb. pit bull/mastiff/boxer/whatever mix) flaked out on it in a state of doggie bliss. He chose it over a nested down comforter he created, well-padded carpet, etc. It is pricey for artificial fleece but it is surprisingly thick (supportive), double-sided and densely fleecey. I will use it in the car, too, when we travel. I paid the price for its washability and supposed durability. My teacup mastiff is not particularly destructive but he can chew through fabric darn quickly. In 5-6 months, I'll update this review. So far, I'm interpreting my dog's satisfaction as 5-stars. UPDATE Dec. 30, 2013: Just washed it for the third or fourth time and it came out nice and clean though the 'fur' is now a bit matted down in appearance, like a sheepskin that hasn't been combed out, if you know what I mean). It did not shrink more after the inch or so in length/width after the first wash (in hot water) so I'm still pleased with them. I am glad I bought a second one in this size for the car, it goes on trips, is lightweight and portable. They are easily cleaned, resist damage from chewing, even though Anchovy, my teacup mastiff, enjoys relocating it around the house by the scruff of its neck. (Very funny to watch him drag it between his legs, too.) Sept. 2014: Okay, I'm ridiculous. Anchovy has his original L, for home use; a medium for the car's backseat; another medium and two smalls he drags around the house to wherever he wants to plop down. I wash and dry them very frequently and they've held up like champs. In any size, this is absolutely worth the money. Dec. 31, 2014: Anchovy has shown a smaller pit/chihuahua? mix I've rescued how to play tug of war with these. No damage done after months of their abuse and Tigger has sharper teeth than my bigger boy, so I'm happy. In contrast, they managed to eviscerate a pricey donut-shaped dog bed of its stuffing in their first try. (Wish these folks would make stuffed dog beds now.) June 1, 2015: OMG, all the pads I've bought are doing great after eons of doggie playtime/naptime and umpteen washings/dryings/draggings/etc. Once the fleece got washed, it remained the same in appearance ever after, never more matted than from the initial wash/dry. Amazing product. December 2015: Getting Tigger a M of her own for the car, Anchovy won't share. Merry Christmas, Tigger. I have 100% confidence it will be as good as all the others. I notice the price is lower, too. Win-win-win. Latest Unreal Brute Lg was not like all the earlier ones. It was crackly stiff as if there were cardboard inside, though there isn't. I don't recall the others ever being this stiff but am going to have to launder to see if it softens. Otherwise, back it goes! July 2017: All the fleeces in my house get heavy use. I wash them weekly and they are still in fine working order. They are not clean looking, sort of permanently dingy by now, but still fluffy and thick. (I may have to break down and get a few clean ones just because I don't love looking at them, but NOT because they've lost their mojo.) These have been a remarkable purchase. *Update May 2021, yes, 2021!: Ok, I've had to get a new washing machine and it is smaller and can't get the fleeces as clean so I'm finally breaking down and buying two fresh ones. (Due to Covid I didn't go to any laundromat and they became fatally funky.) I mean come on, these unreal sheepskin liners are unreal good.

My dogs love their beds.
I was surprised at how thick this den liner was. My dogs look forward to bedtime.

Great dog bed, but a little smaller than advertised
I already have a larger Alphapooch dog bed that we have used for years. I like the feel of the lambskin and it has two sides sewn together that makes it extra thick and reversible. Long story short I got a new dog and she is a little smaller than my older dog, so we have a slightly smaller crate. I ordered the 18 x 24 size and it came today. I put it in her crate and it looked a little small. I measured it with a tape measure and it is really 17 x 23. This is prior to washing. I suspect it may shrink a little when washed.

Tough and plush - not an easy combination to find!
My 10-month-old wirehaired Boxer mix had destroyed three beds/crate pads before I got this one. I was nervous about spending this much on another one given her enthusiasm for ripping soft and plush stuff apart, but it got decent reviews and the description did say it was durable, and I really didn't want to leave her in her crate with no bedding. So I sucked it up and did it, telling myself that if it didn't work out it was all old towels for her after that. It's been almost two months and is still in great shape! She has not made a dent in it. And not for lack of trying! Sometimes I come home after a few hours and she has clearly worked on the bed so that it's folded over itself at the edge of the crate, and she's half on it, so I know she's doing her best to shred it like the others. But so far it hasn't worked! She also loves it - it is super thick and soft, and she'll seek out her crate to curl up and nap on it even when I'm home. Update: A year later, I still love this bed, and so does my dog. She did end up destroying the first eventually, but it took her a LOT longer and was more gradual than with stuffed beds - if she managed to rip a few little pieces of the mat off, it was still usable. When she whittled it down enough - took her the better part of a year - I eventually bought another, and that one has stayed intact - she's mostly outgrown her chewing phase. In dog beds, durability and softness/comfort seem to be inversely proportional, and I think this one is the best you can do in the durability department while still having a soft bed. It's not indestructible, but it is durable and very soft and plush.
