Outstanding quality!

You can't tell much from the picture but this is a very nicely made unit. Both sides are slightly curved allowing it to fit tubing and the fire extinguisher. Shallow notches keep the clamps from shifting and the fit between the two halves is the perfect tension, allowing for easy release without rattles. It's a perfect fit for the 2.5# automotive extinguishers. The base side also has holes drilled so you can mount to a panel, floor pan or whatever using bolts instead of the hose clamps. Those clamps BTW, are included and good quality USA made items. The release pin has a ball detent, nice heavy ring and a lanyard to prevent loss. I was impressed that even though this is one of the lower priced extinguisher brackets they did not skimp on hardware. Mounted this on the roll cage of my buggy. I debated buying the one with the attached pin and hook bracket arrangement but after handling this one I'm glad I didn't. The milled rectangular socket base setup on this much thicker and heavier compared to the two strips welded to make a sandwich those use. No fear of losing a 2.5# item at 80 mph!

Nice Simple - Good Quality

It attached easily to one of the roll cage tubes. The Quick Release works well, just one pull. Hope I never have to use it for real :)

Secure, quick access to a fire extinguisher.

I wish I had a CNC table. If I did I'd turn these out all day long and probably make $40 profit on each one sold. But I don't have a CNC, so I didn't mind paying $55 each for quick access and secure mounting for my fire extinguishers in my Jeep. I had one of those Velcro deals for the roll cage. It kept on twisting around on the roll cage, and when someone needed to grab a fire extinguisher they couldn't get it out of the Velcro. Also had a Safari Straps fire extinguisher holder for the back of my driver's seat; also hard to get the extinguisher out and it was in the face of anyone in the rear seat, and I had to remove the fire extinguisher to fold-down the rear seat. This bracket stays in place on my cage (or I could screw the base into my seat bracket if I wanted, but that looked a bit tight for a fire extinguisher) and the extinguisher is secure, but quickly removed with a pull of the pin. No rattles as far as I can tell.

Easy install & use some electrical tape

I used this mount to my rzr so that I could add a fire extinguisher with quick access to my roll cage. The application process was quick as it only uses hose clamps. The mount itself did rattle slightly but an easy fix is electrical tape. I used one strip around the male portion of the mount. The standard black electrical tape roll is the same width as the insert and you can easily apply one strip to the edge of the mount. After this the mount still slid in easily and no more rattles. Anything more then this and the mount does not slide together easily.

Broke 2nd time out

The little ball that holds tension on the pin came off the second time I took my truck out. Guess I have to source a new one, would not suggest buying.

I've seen better designs out there

I've seen better designs out there, it could fit a little more snugly to prevent rattling, but it is good and does what it supposed to.

Simple sturdy and functional

I really like this extinguisher mount. It is sturdy and does not rattle. It allows quick release access to the extinguisher if needed with a pull of a pin. I mounted this with a standard 2.5lb fire extinguisher on my Polaris Rzr behind the passenger seat. I've ridden the Hatfield McCoy trails and had the Rzr off a few jumps and bumpy trails. The mount functioned perfectly w/o any rattles or movement. I am very happy with this and will be replacing the codura webbing mount I have on my other Rzr.

Easy to install in any automotive

It is small, simple, easy to use and easy to install by any inexperienced person with a screw driver. Highly recommended for in car install.

Amazing extinguisher mount

Love this piece, makes mounting an extinguisher such a breeze and it's very easy to get the extinguisher out in an emergency. Would definitely recommend.
