Works well. Should fit most cars.

Looks and feels robust on my Town and Country minivan. It does hold 4 bikes as advertised, but its a tight fit. Easy to install and use. The only thing is that the rack bars are too wide to put most of mountain bikes I tried ( I have 5 different brands). You have to put the bike through 1 of the bars and then tie the front handle to the other side. Would have given 5 stars if the two bars for holding bikes were close enough so that a mountain bike could fit through both bars.

Awesome rack!

This bike rack is a great option for those who don't have a hitch. It's lightweight and very easy to mount and dismount (even by a petite 5-foot me), but it feels sturdy and secure. It fits our 4 family bikes perfectly - two adult bikes and two 20" kids' bikes. We've had it for several years now and never had any problems. Very happy with it.

Good investment

We mounted 4 adult bikes and went on a road trip and the bike rack held all bikes secure with no problem!

EXCELLENT Rack for 4 Bikes.

We recently traveled 1,600 miles with two adult and two kids’ bikes thanks to this bike rack. Make sure you verify that it fits your car model and YEAR (check on Allen’s site). I installed the hook ends of the top and bottom straps on the inside of the trunk door of my 2009 Honda CRV and this thing did not budge. Each bike had to be installed differently depending on the shape of the bike frame, but each one fit snuggly and was easy to put on and take off once I knew how they fit. I debated between this rack and other $250 models, but I’m extremely please with this one.

Kinda iffy

I was really nervous driving with this on my Mazda 3 fully loaded with 4 bikes. I was afraid to tighten the straps too tight for fear they would snap. As I was driving I was afraid the weight of the bikes would cause the rack to lean sideways. If you have a Schwinn you'll need to buy a straight bar in addition to the rack or you'll have a heck of a time trying to secure your bike (I have a beach cruzer). I fit my bike, an older child's bike, and 2 all terrain bikes. This would probably be more secure on an SUV.

Can fit 4 bikes on a honda crv ex 2014

Yes, it fits a honda crv ex 2014, even though amazon says it doesn't. However, the honda crv was listed on the manufacturers list of cars that the rack is compatible with. We managed to fit 4 bikes on it. 2 adult bikes and 2 kids bikes (24 and 26). I can see how it might be even more difficult with smaller bikes. We're still working out the optimal fit of the bikes, pedal up vs down, which order, etc. but getting easier each time. It creaks a little when we drive but seems sturdy overall.

It fits!

Great product. Fit my 2013 dodge grand caravan crew (even though the box said it wouldn't). Took some time to get it just right the first time I used it, but overall easy. Great option if you dont have a hitch mount, but need more than 2 or 3 bikes on it! I dont like that the metal hooks would hit the paint, so I cut up pieces of a thick old towel and used it under each clip. Worked great. Definitely need to buy the adapter cross bars for womens bikes, but I also had to use one for my kids bikes because the cross bar of the bike didnt allow enough room to fit onto the support bars. For adult bikes, super easy to get them onto the carrier. I could also open and close my trunk gate easily, as long as the bikes were not on it. Made our trip much more comfortable to get 4 bikes out of the vehicle and hanging from the back instead!

Good value for money

I like the simplicity of this bike rack. To prevent your bikes from swing during the car's braking and acceleration, use a bungee cord in the vehicle and use it to pin the bikes to the rack after strapping the bikes on. Top swing arm (the U shaped arm) has a little play on the down position.

Does not have clear description for which cars it fits and cost £113.69 to return!

I hardly ever write bad reviews as a business owner I know the damage it can do but people need to be aware that this product as advertised does not clearly show which cars it fits saying "most Sedans, Hatchbacks and SUVs" I have a Sedan and SUV and it did not fit either. I would not have minded if it was free returns as it would just have been a small inconvenience but even though it was distributed by Amazon for some reason I had to be sent to the US Amazon returns department at my expense costing £113.69! Almost as much as the product. I cannot understand why this cannot be returned to a UK depot as there must be a significant amount of deliveries between the US and UK by amazon which would have cost them a fraction of the cost.

Insufficient information on vehicle compatibility

This product would greatly benefit from having more detailed information posted on Amazon. It "Fits most sedans, hatchbacks, minivans and SUV's" with the exception of the 2 vehicles that I own: Dodge Grand Caravan and Acura EL. It is very-very disappointing to discover that only after one received it. So, I never had a chance to give it a test run because I had to return it as soon as it was shipped to me. Bought a Thule instead because I was able to fish out their compatibility chart online. Great price, but - contact the seller for clarification before ordering.

Destroyed 2 cars with this rack

Not worth it! Get a hitch or tow bar or roof rack installed. Tried this 4 bike carrier on my Subaru WRX and it bent the boot lid. Carried 4 bikes on a long journey on my Outlander and it bent the boot around the number plate. The cost of repairing two cars would have paid for a hitch or tow bar install or a top brand roof rack.

Excelente Rack transportador.

Excelente Rack, cómo complemento para este, en caso de tener bicicletas con formas irregulares como las de ciudad, mtb o de los niños, es recomendable usar la barra para adaptarse. Buena sujeción, es recomendable colocar algunos empaques o goma entre la cajuela y el sujetador para proteger la pintura. Lo he probado con las 4 bicicletas (2 de 26", 1 de 24" y una 20") en viajes cortos de 2 horas por carretera y a velocidad de 100-120 km/h, con un poco de irregularidades en el camino y en ciudad, no tuve ningún problema. Recomiendo verificar bien el anclaje, pero si es muy buen producto.

Damaged my vehicle

I CAREFULLY installed this bike rack on my NEW XT5 SUV and when I took the rack off there is now a dent and scratches under and inbetween where the rubber wheels go. Very upset. Customer service has not responded to my email either. I bought this in the winter planning for the summer and now the return window has passed - so I’m stuck with it:-(
