So good & affordable
Wow. This is my new thing. I love multi-use products. It makes my skin buttery soft without being an oil slick! PROS: There are only 5 ingredients & I can pronounce them all. The jar was sealed under the lid. The price is within my budget to buy on a regular basis. A little truly goes a long way. CONS: None. Overall, I love how this sort of melts with the heat of my skin and soaks in nicely. The product works so well as both an occlusive to hold in moisture and as a makeup remover - I don't wear makeup often but use this to remove sunscreen and just the daily grime from the air. I have loved & used CeraVe ointment for a long time but it's a bit up there in price (115% more than this). This is just as good and much more affordable. Also, some CeraVe products, I can use on my body but not my face so switching to a less pricey CeraVe cream didn't help. For a night treatment, I am using this solo or (when my skin is really dried out) with the regular night cream I love (which happens to be from CeraVe!). In the daytime, I first use this to clean my face, then I use it along with my daily moisturizer. When the humid summer weather gets here, I won't need this during the day. This goes on great over my sunscreen and day moisturizer if I need to extra sealing. (BTW, I didn't realize until I got it that it's made in Canada.) When it's time to reorder, I will do Subscribe & Save on this.

Looked Everywhere
This was widely available for a while at the red & blue stores and at the C & W pharmacies. I didn’t buy it then because I was working through a jar of Ponds. When I finally needed to purchase nobody had it. I’m glad I found it on Amazon though because it doesn’t sting the eyes like the other one does and I can tell it’s going to last me well over a year. Yuka doesn’t like it but I sure do. It’s a keeper!

Replaces my $38 department store cleansing balm
If I had known albolene cream was still around I would never have been using the $38 cleansing balm. I remove the cleansing balm from my face using a wet warm washcloth. My face feels even cleaner and smoother after removing the albolene then it did my department store version. I feel no tightness dryness or greasiness after I remove the Albolene balm. It's just perfect. I wear full face makeup but on the lighter side. I had no trouble removing all of that makeup including waterproof eyeliner. Didn't take any rubbing or any special attention to get that off. It's the same good stuff that I used decades ago when I was a teenager to remove stage makeup.

Effective
I've been using Albolene for years. It's not expensive compared to other products and it is so effective. There isn't a scent. It seems to clean completely and it does leave a light film after washing it off. I don't usually need any other cream on top of it. The 12 oz jars are a little bit too big for one person because it takes too long to use it up. There are also smaller containers and now they have it in tubes.

I’ve grown to love it
First of all, this is NOT a normal cleansing balm. It does not break down with water or play well with water at all. Once I trained my brain to actually follow the directions and wipe it off with a soft towel (I purchased reuse-able makeup removing soft wash cloths) I was impressed. It really does remove all of my makeup and leave my skin feeling fresh, clean and soft. I go in with a foaming cleanser afterwards. It is a great value for the size and will last a long time vs having to buy a new regular container of cleansing balm monthly.

One of my favorite skin care purchases of all time.
I bought this looking for cold cream to take off my makeup, as my face in the winter gets quite dry and I found Albolene. This stuff is magic. It takes off all makeup from full coverage concealer to waterproof mascara. I've started using it as a moisturizer before I go to sleep every night and it never makes me breakout while also feeling so light and nourishing to the skin. The tub it comes in is big enough to last you the entire lifespan of a well-cared for hamster. This is the crisco of the skin-care world. 100% recommend!

Wish I Knew Before
Works great! Wish I knew about this a long time ago! Ive always used just soap and water and realized all my makeup wasn’t washing off. This takes it right off and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. Directions say you don’t need to wash your face but I do.

Love this stuff!
I love everything about this product and wouldn’t use anything else after trying it. The cost is great, my skin feels good using it and it isn’t dry. My face feels feel moisturized. My only issue and issue is a strong word, is that I wish it smelled better. It doesn’t smell bad but wish it smelled good. It’s really just a no nonsense cleanser that doesn’t have a yummy smell or pretty packaging but it really is a great, gentle, moisturizing cleanser. Hands down, great value for your money and gentle for your face.

Totally addicted
I love this stuff. It feels great and my skin feels soft and looks healthy after using it. Much better than vaseline as it doesn't leave a greasy feeling afterwards and doesn't dry out like using water based or silicone lube which I'm allergic to. Definitely worth giving Albolene a go if you've ever thought of trying it.

For something that is 8$ in the states and even after conversion is not that much and I have to pay 31$ To get it in Canada is STUPID!!!!! It’s a good product but wtf.

Derrite TODO el maquillaje
Estoy usando retinol y mi piel se ha sensibilizado mucho en este período de adaptación además de que siempre he tenido los ojos sensibles. Usaba desmaquillantes bifasicos pero el solo hecho de pasar varias veces el algodón me podía irritar el contorno de ojos además que algunos productos me irritaban los ojos en sí. Luego probé el balsamo de Clinique y me encantó como funcionaba pero también me irritaba los ojos. Compré este y me ha sorprendido, derrite todo el maquillaje, eso sí, es grasoso pero no me irrita para nada los ojos hasta puedo abrirlos con el producto puesto y no se irritan. Después lo retiro con dos círculos de algodón humedecidos en agua y luego me lavo la cara normalmente y quedo muy limpia prácticamente sin esfuerzo y sin irritación que es lo más importante para mi

Good for a first cleanse
I like the minimal, fragrance free ingredients so minimal chance of irritation for sensitive skin. It's like a balm which I like as a first cleanse to loosen up zinc and/or chemical sunscreens and makeup. Best to apply directly to skin, without any water and remove what you can with a soft cloth. Then go in with your usual cleanser. It really leaves a film on your face and hands when you add water to this formulation and can get messy. It's not like other balms (like Clinique Take the Day Off balm) which when water is added it emulsifies and doesn't leave a greasy film behind. For this reason I gave it 3 stars because I find it a bit messy to work with.

No estoy seguro si esta unidad era vieja o cuál era el problema. llegó completamente licuado y faltaba aproximadamente una pulgada de producto. El sello de protección se desprendió dejando algo de producto derramado en la tapa. cuando paga el doble del precio debido a una importación, espera un producto que sea nuevo o que haya sido almacenado de una manera que mantenga intacta la integridad del producto. cuando recibe productos como este, pierde la confianza en el vendedor y en Amazon. parece que puedes vender cualquier cosa sin importar la calidad. Estoy decepcionado.
