Great kit.
Great set of bags, getting the one with the internal bumper is worth the extra money, trust me! I've already had my air line come apart (Totally my fault for not paying attention during installation). This is my third truck with air bags, only way to go if you've never had them. This is my first set of AitLift bags, I've always had Firestone RideRite before. Honestly there is no real difference between the products. The no drill mounting and location are identical, the quality of the bags are equal. To me it comes down to which ones you can get for cheaper at the moment you are ordering them. Now if you're not sure if you should install single or dual path then do both. If you are buying a compressor rig for dual path for twice the money because you might need it once in awhile DON'T, get the single path and think about it! The beauty of air lines is that you can actually do both for a back up. Go to a napa truck center, or any tractor trailer parts store (Or order on here) and get a 1/4" air line valve and put it in between. However from their plumb the rest of the system as single path (so if that confused you, plumb dual path from the back of the truck to the bags. Plumb single path from the compressor to the bags. then install a shut off crossover line between the back lines) This will let you run the system single path (crossover line open) on a normal day for everyday ride, or single point hauling such as a bumper pull trailer. However if you have a random side heavy load, air it up until the heavy side is riding where you need it then close the crossover valve and bleed the lite side down until it's riding rite (or you can inflate each side thru the Schrader valves if you have access to an air fill station at that time) I actually put mine together with a 12v ball valve on my crossover line so I now have a switch inside the cab for single/dual path. I also installed a push button bleed valve for each side so I don't have to bleed off the Schrader valves. Final hint, air line and fittings are way cheaper at a napa truck center or a tractor trailer parts store. You can also find the other things I've been talking about. Good luck.

I love my airbags
I put these on as a last ditch before going to a larger tow vehicle. The best way I could describe my towing experience with my large RV trailer was a small boat bobbing in moderate seas. While this product will not bolster your GAWVR, it will stabilize the snot out of it. I put these on and after attaching the trailer, I put 20lbs in each bag and went camping. The ride was WAY better. The bobbing and rocking, even with a 4-way sway hitch, made for a more comfortable ride. One which, I may add, did not leave me with a clenched jaw for 4-6 hours. The rear end tends to be a little stiff when not under load, so make sure to air back down and follow the instructions Airlift provides. You do need to check the air at least monthly. Make sure you don't lose a socket in the frame!

2008 Silverado (1500) Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Rear Air Bags
Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Rear Air Bags installed without any issues on my 2008 Silverado 1500. I have Rough Country 5" lift kit that has 3" blocks in the rear. Installed air bags with 2" spacer. Air Lift only has 2" and 4" steel spacers so it was a toss up on which one to install. Ride height at minimum pressure of 5 psi is 1/4" higher and ride is basically the same as without them, which is a good thing. It seems like adding 20-25 psi for 1,000 lbs of load is about right. 25-30 psi for 1,000 lbs, 35-40 psi for 1,500 and 45-50 psi for 2,000 lbs. I never load more than 2,000 lbs so not to overload axle. Air bags restore level and stability with heavy loads. Drives and rides better with heavy loads and no more blinding other drivers at night with a heavy load.

Good airbags but poor installation hardware
These airbags themselves are great quality, but the installation hardware is poor, and you are required to discard valuable stock parts. The GOOD: 1) Airbags are made with high quality Goodyear rubber. 2) Mounting brackets are heavy duty and well made. 3) The internal jounce bumpers seem like a good idea, and allow the bags to run with no air. The BAD: 1) The installation requires that several hose and wiring brackets be discarded. These do actually serve a purpose, keeping brake lines and wires from rubbing and chafing. There is no provision in the kit to secure these lines, and the potentially could lead to a serious problem if wires get cut, or brake lines wear through. 2) The installation on a 2011 GM truck requires you to fish a couple bolts through small frame holes. To secure that bolt, it is pretty tricky to drop a socket in the hole, then attach the socket to the ratchet inside the frame. The UGLY: 1) The installation call for TWO large frame clamps to reposition the e-brake cable, but ONLY ONE is included in the kit! This is not an accidental omission either, since the parts list explicitly specifies 1. Has no one noticed this problem in 3 years? 2) The U-bolts are too long. This means that there is a lot of thread hanging down, but more importantly that the nut runs out of thread before it is properly torqued. You must add washers to avoid the problem of the nut running past the thread. 3) The U-bolts are too wide for the frame. The bracket may slip side to side since there is at least 1/2" empty space to slop around. 4) Allowing brake lines and wires to rub and tangle is both BAD and UGLY, since it has the potential to cause damage to safety-critical components. The GM engineers put those line holders and brackets there for a reason, but Airlift carelessly discards them. Overall, I am happy with the quality but very disappointed with the installation.

Easy of install, works amazing
This product was amazing, installed in about an hour. Make sure you purchase the “T” connection that comes with air kit Air Lift 21838 Union Tee. This will allow one port to evenly lift both sides. Also means only drilling one shredder valve in your bumper

Great Seller
Air bags were exactly as ordered and fit my truck perfectly and easy to install. The package was quite damaged and thankfully the parts inside were all accounted for and no damage to the parts inside.
