The perfect used brush needed

Sturdy brush
I use this parts clean brush in my water based solvent tank and have good experience with it holding shape so far. The bristles are rigid and clean well. The wooden handle is comfortable as compared to everything plastic today. I clean components that are already clean and freshly machined or other components received with cosmoline preservative coating.

Just what I needed
I needed a good stiff end brush to use in the kitchen, cleaning the basket on my Mr. Coffee Iced Tea Maker. The basket has ribs in the bottom to hold the tea bags off the bottom and they are impossible to clean between. I remembered using a brush to clean auto parts in my father's garage, when I was much younger. When it arrived, I tried it on the tea basket and it works like a charm. I just have to remember to not use it on my transmission. ;-) The old handle could stand to come into the 21st Century by improving the ergonomics.

Not as pictured
I was expecting a bristle head tapered and shaped as pictured. The bristles are very long and flexible. That makes it inadequate for real parts cleaning work other than dusting or very light cleaning. I got two exactly the same way.

Not quite as described.
This is a well made brush and will do the job. It is not quite as described, however, as the photo shows shaped bristle ends and the written description states the bristles are chiseled. My brush bristle end shape is blunt. But, I won't return the brush since it is adequate for my needs. Some users may really need the shaped end to get into small crevices, so be forewarned. It is described too as being individually wrapped, but mine was delivered loose, thrown unpackaged in a box with air packs. This seems to be a generic brush, with no permanent brand markings, only a small stick-on ID label. This same brush likely is sold under a variety of brand names.
