Doesn't stand up well

Difficult to get it to stand up. It has a magnet on the back if you want to attach it to something magnetic, but if you just want it to stand up, it isn't well balanced.

Accurate Readings and No Calabration Needed - MUST HAVE -

I purchased this for my son’s room as he suffers from allergies and asthma. I was highly impressed with the accuracy of the temperature and the humidity readings. It’s VERY important to keep the humidity at 25 to 30 percent for us. Knowing when to turn on the machines that generate a lot of energy to keep the levels safe was key. This meter was tested against a meter by a professional Industrial Hygieniest and I was told the readings are within the standard deviation and accurate for home use and my needs. I felt relieved that our meters were at times the same and only off by ONE DEGREE TEMPERATURE wise in ONE ROOM. I would highly recommend this if you suffer from allergies or asthma or you want to control the humidity in your home. Some may not know but ... increased humidity and warm temperatures and the moisture produced may lead to excelletated mold and fungi growth. I use this with a dehumidifier and an air purifier with a HEPA filiter and I feel the air is cleaner and less PPM’s that my son is breathing in. I noticed also that the memory function is very functional for storing the data as it changes. This helps us with symptom control as the environment changes. I can’t say enough how this little device has helped my son and myself in accurately knowing the readings and keeping on top of his allergies and asthma. I feel this is a tool to gage the use of the dehumidifier vs constantly running it. The humidity reading on the dehumidifier is EXACTLY the same as the reading on this AcuRite -which makes me believe this device has a relatable and accurate measurement. It is small enough to blend into his bedside table and I’ve placed it OPPOSITE corner of the dehumidifier for more valid and reliable results / readings. The BONUS my son said is gives him the time as well. I can’t thank AcuRite enough for making a product that is accurate and affordable. My personal feeling is some companies over charge for devices that are not as accurate and affordable as this one. If you are skeptical about this device and the accuracy .... PLEASE I hope my honest review will squash your doubts. I have NO CONNECTION NOR WAS I GIVEN THIS DEVICE FOR FREE OR A DISCOUNT ..... I’m just a Mom with a son that has multiple health issues and when you find a product that works ..... well I want to let others know MY RESULTS .... in the hopes that I can help someone else who is in a similar situation. I will end with this ..... as the warmer weather approaches .... I will be buying additional AcuRite Meters for EVERY ROOM. I purchased the black color and I am VERY HAPPY with the design the accuracy and also that this can be used as a display standing up with the attached “leg stand” or even put against a wall leaning straight up. My question to AcuRite is .... will using a Velcro to fasten to a wall in the basement skew the meter readings in any way? What is the preferred method for hanging on a wall from AcuRite - the manufacture of this meter? Thank you - for designing a device that is so accurate and compact and the price point is affordable. My son had slept better and we are able to control the environment more accurately and effectively with the help and use of this meter. Respectfully Submitted ..... A very happy Mom.

A lot difference at reading on two generations of this product

I owns previous one for years until it was fall and hit the floor. So I decide to buy a new one, a whole new generation. Then I put the two together found a bit difference on the humidity reading. For my body feeling, the old one could be a little accurate but I am not to sure cause I have have third party humidity reader/tester. But the good things is that the temperature is the same. And I found out that the new one have even precise reading than old one. So I decide to keep both.

Love these!

I have the original Acu Rite for about 6 years & it’s still going strong! Wanted another one for another room and I LOVE the newer slim design! It’s very compact and less obvious than the original and I like that it says “humid” or “ideal” to go along with the humidity reading. Otherwise it has all the same readings as the original and the temperature and humidity readings are comparable to the original, I’m not seeing the differences that others have noted. Hopefully it will last as long as the original!

It works as designed! Great product!

I'm using this to grow vegetables indoors and it works perfectly. It updates every few seconds to changes in temperature and humidity. Display is easy to read and you can change from Fahrenheit to Celsius with a push of a button on the back. ***note - battery that comes with it is wrapped in plastic that isn't obvious. I put the battery in without noticing that plastic was still on the battery and it didn't work. It was only when I was about to replace the battery that I noticed plastic tightly wrapped around the battery.

Lasts longer than expected!

I bought this last July 2018 and still is working great up to date. It’s nearly 2 years already and I haven’t even changed the battery yet. As for the accuracy, it doesn’t sync with my thermostat so I am not so sure which is more accurate. Readings are updated every 5 seconds which is great when you try to move the device in one room to another. As for the size, it is a bit small than what I expected though you can easily read it even when you are 5 meters away.

TIENE BUENA PRESENTACIÓN, LOS NÚMEROS SON GERIÁTRICOS, LOS PUEDES LEER DESDE LEJOS, Y CON UN AMPLIO ANGULO DE VISIÓN, PERO LO MALO ES QUE NO TIENE PRECISIÓN EN SU MEDICIÓN. MIDE DOS GRADOS CENTÍGRADOS POR ARRIBA DE OTROS TERMÓMETROS QUE COLOQUÉ JUNTOS, LA HUMEDAD TAMBIÉN LA MARCO CON BASTANTE DIFERENCIA A LA BAJA QUE LOS OTROS. OTRA COSA, ¿PORQUE PNEN MAS GRANDE LA HUMEDAD QUE LA TEMPERATURA? YO CONSIDERO MAS IMPORTANTE LA TEMPERATURA.

O Termômetro funciona bem. O Higrômetro mais-ou-menos.

O Higrômetro sobe de 1 para 19 e para 32 em poucos minutos. Depois volta até 1. Não parece funcionar bem. Já o termômetro é bem preciso pois tenho um de outra marca e eles mostram o mesmo valor.
