Looks great with large mailbox

We used one of these to attach a large oversized mailbox to a huge cement post and it worked great!

Heavy well built, but out of square

This item is very nice looking, heavy and appears to be durable. HOWEVER, the horizontal (top) bar was not at a 90 degree angle to the vertical (post side) of the bracket, so I had to chisel a groove deeper at the bottom in the post so that the mailbox would sit level (90 degree angle to the post). Also the horizontal (top) bar was crooked as well, so I had to cut a special groove in the board that the mailbox sat on the to make it sit level. I would suggest that the manufacturer invest in a carpenter's square and use it or make a good jig. I spent a lot of time making the item work the way it should have from the factory.

Looks amazing!

We used this to mount a mailbox to a concrete post. It is fantastic and looks amazing! I hang a plant from the leaves.

Excellent product with only some minor criticism

I'd rather the design were inverted. With the longer plane against the mounting surface, you might reasonably conclude the scoop of the leaves are upside down. It still looks great, and is an incredibly minor concern. I'm also not a fan of the hole placement, but again this is an extremly minor concern that can be corrected with the proper tools. It's big. It's heavy. It looks great. Entire neighborhood is jealous. Perhaps it's a bit expensive though! ;p

A great mid-point between all iron and no iron

This holder is kind of expensive, but it's also less expensive than a full-size wrought-iron mailbox holder. I have been in the market for some kind of wrought-iron mailbox something to complement my 1975 home's ironwork. This was the most reasonable option and it looks fantastic. I am so pleased with the weight and quality of this item... I've gotten my compliments from my neighbors! If you're interested in this bit, I mounted it to a 4x4 wooden post and used a basic black-metal mailbox.

Exterior bracket

Beautiful design, heavy metal, I bought two brackets, one was Perfect the other one was a Little crooked and needed ajustments to fix the mailbox on it.
