***12/21 update: I tried the latest Jennifer McGuire hack (see YouTube) and if you use these with the light green double-sided cutting plates, then the warping is almost non-existent. Your "sandwich" would be clear plate>green plate>cardstock/die>green plate>clear plate). It WORKS! The green plates will look awful if you've used them often enough as I have but the clear plates will remain almost warp-free. The bad news? The double-sided die green cutting plates are out of stock currently with about a 3-4 week wait to get them back in-stock.**** Original Review: I've found, through vast experimentation that my old Sizzix plates work better in my Gemini Jr. as the plates made by Gemini's manufacturer, Crafter's Companion. I've tried everything suggested by the manufacturer and nothing works--they'll warp after one or two passes and that's with me flipping them over each time. I've tried the Jennifer McGuire hack which helps slow down the warping but doesn't completely prevent it. I get that they need some type of give in them but it's utterly ridiculous how every single plate, the plastic shim, the metal shim, the magnetic shim ALL warp and warp badly and after just a few passes. Experiment with other plates, most of them are cheaper and more durable (but they'll still warp too, just not as bad, and not as fast). Love the Gemini Jr. Hate the accessories.

Buyers be aware

I bought this plate to go in my Cuttlebug. It worked fine but the die left a cut in the plate already. I get that this happens over time. This plate is flimsy then the Cuttlebug plates. I'm hoping it will last awhile but with my first cut seeing wear already in this plate, I have my doubts. But since Cricut's not making the Cuttlebug or plates any longer, what choice do I have, with only a handful of company's making 6inch plates that works in my Cuttlebug. I may have to buy a new machine. Seeing the poor quality of this plate has me think, do I want invest in a company that took short cuts in making their plates. I hate that I sound bitter but I'm frustrated with months of looking for new plates, I was hoping this would be of better quality. Or at least the same as Cricut's. Or even Sizzix plates. Which are 1/8in to big.

Needs replacing every few months

If you're good at rotating these, they last a few months. I like to keep one plate on top and always cut into that one, flipping and turning every time I use it to keep the wear even. It will take a long time before it warps and cracks that way. Keep one extra on hand as a spare, and rotate the bottom plate out as the cutting plate, then use the new one on the bottom for longer use.

Work as described

These plates are definitely a consumable for craters that own the Gemini Junior, so don't be so surprised when they dent, scratch and warp with use, especially if you're doing some major crafting. With that said, I wish there was a way to make these a little more durable so you don't have to buy them so much. My advice is to buy 2 and rotate them when die-cutting. I guess Crafters Companion could sell a 2 pack at an affordable price to help us crafters :)

Arrived ahead of schedule!

I love my Gemini Jr cutting machine. I ordered new cutting plates to have them on hand. I was thrilled when they arrived several days ahead of the scheduled delivery.

New Clear Cutting Plates

I ordered and received my new Gemini Clear Cutting Plates very fast, thank goodness because I needed them to make my Christmas and New Years greeting cards. They arrived well packaged and I have been using them almost every day. I will have to say you have to be careful to "flip" them each time you use them to ensure they do not begin to "warp". If you flip them front to back and over, they will perform perfectly for a long time.

Defective plates

These Gemini plates have ruined my Gemini die machine, do not buy, they broke while going through the machine and i have not had a satisfactry reply from amazon...my machine is ruined with the plates stuck in it! I asked for a replacement/repair machine not a refund for the defective plates.
