Great for gerbils

Gerbils use sand to clean themselves and they will also use sand like a litter box. Gerbils have finicky health requirements and finding sand that is clean and not a hazard can be a bit of a hassle. Reptisand is largely considered the go-to for gerbils in many circles. You can definitely get cheaper sand, especially if you're willing to freeze and bake it. But the effort required to save a few dollars is not worth it to me and reptisand is good to go.

Smaller than expected (read review).

This bag was smaller than expected, but I'm not sure why I thought it would be bigger considering it's a 10lbs bag. Worked great for my tortoise, also helped with making his enclosure easier to clean.

Best sand for Syrian Hamster

My Syrian looves this sand, won’t use any other kind and I like that it doesn’t have any calcium so it’s safe for her.

best sand ever!

I really liked this product. It’s a very great soft sand. I used it for my hamster sand bath, but if you would use this for your reptile, I think it would work really well. And it’s really easy to clean and looks really nice if you are looking for sand for your hamster, I really really recommend this sand.

HAMSTERS LOVE IT!!

I’m not no expert on sand or anything but I do know my two dwarf hamsters absolutely love it! Wish it wasn’t as expensive cause the 10 lbs doesn’t last for long. Definitely worth it!

Natural soft, silky, and clean hamster bathing sand

Big bag with lots of very soft sand. The sand does not stick everywhere and is very smooth, gentle on hamster paws and does not stick to or leave any grimy residue on their fur. Very nice for digging and cleaning themselves in. So so soft and clean, no rough chunks or flaws, just very nice quality sand. Definitely get this for your hamster's sand bath, I know I'll be buying this again for mine.

My dwarf hamster loves this sand, and he instantly knew what to do with it after I introduced him to sand. Good sand. And no, he has not eaten or inhaled any of the sand.

Sand for hamsters

Bought this for my hamsters sand baths as I find the ones marketed for hamsters to be dusty and a lot of them are dangerous for small rodents. This is a great product and a lot cheaper than sand marketed for hamsters!

Seems to work well (Hamster)

It's a heavy bag. I felt sorry for our post person. Hamster seems to love it. I spent hours cross referencing the pet sands available on Amazon and learned that if a sand is too dusty it can give rodents respiratory problems. A few weeks of use in and can report only the positive, hammy loves to dig in a deep sandpit of this when out of cage and no sneezes or respiratory problems. Also used in special hamster toilet in a shallow amount and it absorbs urine quickly and creates a kind of solid clump so easy to remove. Seems to absorb smell too.

Perfect for my Hamster

I use this sand for my hamsters bath. It is perfect - pure sand with no additives and no dust whatsoever. This bag last me almost a year (for a roborovski) so it is definitely worth getting and good value for the price. I would say that this sand is better than a lot of sands sold for hamsters specifically.
