Love this garden tool
I bought this to use for potting some bulbs in my garden containers. It’s easy to use and has the depth guide. I also really like to use it for breaking up the soil and old roots too, as I find it easier than using a shovel or rake in smaller containers. This will work well for seeds & small plants in the spring. Handy little tool.

Zenport GA401 Dibber for Planting Seeds and Bulbs, Original
When I first started to plant some bulbs, I decided that they had to be an easier way to do it than just using a small spade. So I got on Amazon and did my research. I research everything I buy. I do lots of research and this is what I decided to try. Zenport Dibber. I had never used a Dibber. I had no ideal if it was what I really needed or not. I am so happy I made this purchase. If you do any planting you will need this tool. It is wonderful. It makes planting bulbs, seeds, and flower so much easier and fun. A lot of the Dibbers I researched was made of wood or metal, but this one was made of very strong hard plastic. It will not rust or rot. I have arthritis in my hands and the T handle makes it easier to use.

Sturdy-good for clay, roots, and rocks.
Love this little guy. Planted 400 small bulbs (crocus, Chionodoxa) in clay soil with roots and gravel/rocks. I watered the ground the day before and it went in easily and a little twist and wiggle got me the right size planting hole. I ordered this after the small drill auger got bent and the large drill auger nearly broke my wrist. It may have taken longer but for me it was worth it. It nudged small/medium maple roots out of the way and either slipped around small rocks or I could relocate for larger ones. I got this one over the metal/wood ones because I thought where the two materials were joined would be a weak point. This plastic is sturdy and the tip is still like new. I didn't bash it but didn't baby it either. The T-handle is a plus, particularly for arthritic hands. So happy to have this. It probably won't work for daffs, although I'll try but for the little ones in areas that are problematic, this is my go-to tool.

Handy
Easy concept but very useful. Goes into compact soul fairly easily as well. The one criticism would the the depth markings are difficult to see. Not sure of a specific design change that would help this, just an observation.

Great gardening tool
Great gardening tool. Sure do wish I’d known about this gardening tool a few years ago. It made planting bulbs a breeze and I have used it for countless other jobs ever since. Highly recommend it.

Makes planting a breeze
This product was exactly what I wanted! It made perfect holes to plant seeds and starts. So glad I finally bought one!

Worked okay but tip bent on stone
Only issue is that the tip is plastic so it gets bent if you hit rock. Straightened okay so far. Needs a steel tip!

Pretty handy
I was a bit leery initially to buy a plastic dibber, but after reading a few reviews, I decided that for the drastic price difference it would be worth taking a chance. It's pretty handy, and plenty sturdy enough for the job. I have almost as much rock as I do soil (which is mostly clay), so for planting seeds this thing makes the job a lot easier. Bigger rocks are still an issue, but you can usually just move over a bit and be good to go, without the hassle of trying to actually dig. It easily goes thru my landscape fabric too. I wish I'd found this thing years ago.

It’s ok
It’s ok. Busted it on the first try when I hit a rock. It’s hollow plastic so don’t expect it to last long under moderate use. Would not buy again. Will pay the money to get a solid wood or metal one.

Needs tweaking
I had lots of grape hyacinths to plant this fall and I tried using the dibber, while my husband used a plastic stick for holding up plants from the dollar store. Well, he was definitely more successful than I was. I put the dibber down and asked him to give me a plastic stick as well, and we got the job done.

Plastic tip
The tip is sharp and made of plastic. If you have any rocks in the soil, the tip will break off.
