An exceptional pack but I need a replacement.
I have been using my STM pack for about two months. First, let me speak about the design and materials. This pack is exceptional in design and the best computer bag I have ever seen. Its design allows me to carry more with a smaller footprint and has a place for everything. The materials are first-rate as well. After two months my bag shows almost no sign of use. The only exception is the carry handle, a place that one can expect to use frequently. No fault of the design or the materials this handle is beginning to fray. I believe it is a fault in the manufacturing of this specific bag - perhaps the handle was not seated deep enough in the bag when it was stitched into place. I am giving this bag five stars. I hope that the seller will stand behind this exceptional product and send me a replacement. I have no doubt that the one I received was defective and not a reflection of what other will experience.

Lots of pockets! A month into using the bag I was still finding compartments
I appreciate a bag with lots of compartments because it helps me sort out all the cables, chargers, external drives, USB -C dock, adapters, etc which lets me get to what I need quicker. Lots of space in the bag, but slims down nicely when not full, great for taking on the plane, will easily fit under the seat in front of you. I've had other STM bags and they always do a great job with padding to protect the computer / ipad.

People just love this backpack
Haven’t had this too long but it has already become my favorite backpack. I can fit my 15” macbook pro with ease. Love the colors and the design. I also like that it’s not bulky. So it’s easy to move around it it on.

It took a beating & held up great.
Took it to Europe & used it everyday. The smaller size is the reason I purchased it. It took a beating & held up great.

Excellent backpack with a lot of extras for the traveller with a lot of electronics!
My daughter is thrilled with this backpack. She travels with her high school students and needs her electronic devices and this is a great solution. "Back pack was delivered- boy- it's a neat pack! There is no insulated compartment- but wait till I tell you about what it does IT's made in Australia and it's all wired for batteries and cables so you can charge things when you're on the go It's got holes with grommets- so cables can be passed through the compartments and it's got MANY compartments It's a small pack- so it won't hold clothes or anything, it's definitely designed for electronics My 15 inch computer fit in easily and there's a padded soft compartment for your phone and another for a tablet There's a LOT of padding AND it's got a special "reward" tag! You can register it with the STM bag people- and if someone finds your bag, they can easily return it which I thought was very cool" There's also a little pouch, on a tether, inside one of the sections - about 4" by 8" like a pencil bag or a small make up bag - ideal for extra cables, earbuds and etc. I think this is the best padded backpack I've ever seen really really cool IT's attractive denim blue with navy and green accents and the best made backpack I've ever seen as well the stitching and seam reinforcement is AWESOME "IT's just superbly made- a cut above a luxury backpack for the traveler who wants their electronics to be safe (like me me me- this will be my travel bag- I am willing to lose out on the space, and not carry as much- because I always worry about my electronics being damaged) The shoulder straps are really well padded I love the ports that allow you to pass cables through your pack and then there's cute little spaces for your power brick- the number of pockets and the care with the lining is pretty incredible and the high quality zips look like they'll last well Just a terrific look to it and very stylish. Really, I think this may be one of the "smartest" backpacks I've ever taken a look at. Can't wait to take it to Rome It also has something called "suspension" padding so if you put your pack down- your laptop doesn't go "clunk" I have DONE this- never damaged my computer- but had a couple mild heart attacks thinking I might have so that is VERY cool, the suspension is along the bottom and on both corners, smart- right? 18L capacity I usually have a 33L backback because I like to bring one change of clothes but I think I may just sacrifice size for this" I am so glad I ordered this. It is very unusual for my daughter to be so enthusiastic about such a practical item.

Excellent electronics protection, many compartments and pockets!
Finally a common sense approach to protecting your laptop or tablet, and one that works. I've always hated the standard design where the laptop/tablet pocket has the bottom of the pack as the bottom of the compartment. Set the pack down too hard or drop it, and the impact hits your computer. Not here! This can take a lot more impact while protecting your electronics. Additionally, the laptop/tablet pocket is towards the rear - not against your back. I've tried a dozen packs - they ALL place the computer against your back. My back has contours. My computer does not. Moving it away from your back adds more protection and a LOT more comfort. There's also pockets everywhere. On the rear, there's a pocket taking up the bottom half. Open the zipper and there's a single compartment with another zipper leading to a large pocket. Plus there's two padded smaller pockets. Above this bottom pocket is a smaller top pocket with side access. Then on the left AND right of the pocket are another pair of pockets. "But wait, there's more...." pockets. The center huge compartment contains the computer/laptop holder and a large, single space. In this space towards the top is another zippered pocket with a velvety lining. Then there's a tethered accessory pouch that comes out. Next - another main compartment! This one between the computer holder and the padded panel that goes against your back. This compartment is the largest and has a padded, semi-rigid panel against your back, then two sleeve pockets opposite that. Each of these are padded, as is the divider between these and the laptop/tablet pocket. Yea - that's a lot of pockets. You'll need a map this has so many places to store and organize stuff. You could conceivably hold a laptop and three tablets safely. It's a great weekend pack or school pack - assuming you don't haul too many books. The cable-routing system is nice, but not something I'll use that much. The shoulder straps are decently wide and padded, so are comfortable. The shoulder straps and back are designed to breathe so you won't experience shoulder and back sweat. This works well, but on hot days you'll still get wet. Casual denim look and feel.

This is perfect for me.
This is my second STM bag and I love it! I have used it to carry two laptops, psu, other cables a few tools and a change of clothes for an overnight trip, I no longer need to take two bags on a short business trip! Its like a Tardis, its seems compact from the outside but loads of space on the inside. It has some neat features, soft pocket for Sunglasses, cable routing for usb charging. The outside horizontal pocket is useful for my mobile and the side pockets are perfect for a flask of coffee! I ride motorbikes and while I cannot speak to the waterproof levels the shoulder straps allow you to tuck away chest strap so you don't have an annoying flappy thing.

Long term user - Great bag but stm have released a upgraded version perfect the bag
I have used this bag for now over a year. It has served me excellently over that time and shows little or no sight of wear. The handle like many have experienced is the only part with any tear. But, the material is used nowhere else on the bag except for decoration. And I have used the bag for everything University, groceries, flying and camera gear Everything is excellent. The laptop and tablet compartments is excellent; well cushioned and suspended. Water pouches are great for thermos and water bottles (slims ones are best). Fabric lined pocket well placed as hidden on inside and can easily get to them. Powerbank pocket can easily fit a anker 20,000 mah power bank. Wonderful back padding is excellent and doesn't damage clothes. Great pocket layout What I can say is this bag has never let me down and set a very high bar for the next bag. The only gripe is lack of water proofing but none of my devices have ever been damaged this is likely due to the double lining. The chest straps are removable but very trickey to put back on. Although, this is not mentioned and it is very hard. The real reason I am looking for another bag is that I travel more and desire waterproofing. Hence why I mention STM have released essentially a upgrade to this bag. The STM myth is what I would suggest purchasing for 18L bag. Has all the same features but with addition of Luggage pass through and waterproofing at the same price point if buy direct from STM. https://www.amazon.co.uk/STM-Backpack-Featuring-Luggage-Pass-Through/dp/B07GSLHPLV/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1542147571&sr=8-2&keywords=stm%2Bmyth&th=1

Good internal layout but starting to show worrying signs of wear after two months
The good bits: The bag itself is awesome and has a large number of internal sections, pockets, and enclosures. At times this can be a drawback and I often spend a fair few minutes trying to find where I’ve put something (firmly my fault and I’m really blaming my memory, it’s not really a serious criticism of the bag layout). The internal pocket/pencil case is great for carrying stuff as I can drag the whole thing out of the bag (it’s connected by a fabric cord) and shuffle through the contents. On the down side: After just two months of use the fabric carrying handle that sits at the top between the straps has substantially frayed (about 1/3 to 1/2 gone) and the one of the straps shows signs of separation from the back of the rucksack - I can see what appears to be the padding behind the grey material. I do tend to carry a lot of gear so perhaps this is just peculiar to my style of use.

Good quality but not practical
Good quality but unfortunately a very tight bag! Put A bottle in the side pocket and space is lost from within. The front pocke is very tight. Had to return it as i couldnt fit in my a4 binder, lunch box and travel mug. Its not a bag for uni.

Good looking bag
Bought for my daughter at University to carry her laptop and books. She loves it, likes the colour and the room within the bag. Feels that the laptop is well protected (but lets not put that to the test).
