NOT TRUE TO SIZE

I was so excited for this polo for a family photo. I have a small Labrador retriever, but bought the extra large and I cannot even fit it past his neck. The length is perfect but the body of the polo is meant for a 30 pound dog not the examples they give. Contemplating either returning it, or seeing if I can sew extra panels to make it work.

Very cute design, but issues with sizing

I looked at the sizing guidelines and originally ordered a small red polo shirt for my 8-pound little guy. It was way too big on him, unfortunately. It was so long that it covered up the areas you do not want covered up on a dog. He was able to step his front paws out of the neck -- it was that large. I returned it and bought an extra-small blue polo. This one is TINY, would only fit a dog around 6 pounds or less (I have a 6-pounder and it is about her size). I don't understand why there is such a massive difference in size between an XS and an S. See image attached. I wonder if the original small shirt I ordered was perhaps a Medium, but mislabeled. I am returning the extra small blue and going to try one more small, hoping it actually fits! The shirt itself is super cute. I wanted a 100% cotton shirt, and this little polo is just darling. Feels soft (which I need for my little guy who's allergic to lots of things and has extremely sensitive skin), great little design. The buttons on the neck are actual buttons, not snaps. I'd prefer snaps for ease, but it's a real cute design nonetheless. If the sizing were more accurate, I'd probably give it 5 stars. But I'm docking one star just because I haven't yet gotten one that fits (and I did consult the sizing guidelines before ordering).

Loose strings and the armpits don’t even line up.

I’m hoping my item was just a one-off. None of the loose strings were clipped and one of the armpit seams doesn’t even match up. I’m going to exchange it and hopefully I just received a bad one.

Cute but runs small

This is a cute, nice quality shirt, but it DOES run small. Per the size chart, the large should have been just right for my 46 lb cardigan corgi. I ordered the XL to be safe, and it is a perfect fit (not a ton of extra room). A smaller size definitely wouldn't have worked.

Good material

I got this for my dog that's got a 32" chest and 20" neck. I got the XL. It BARELY fit him. And it's supposed to be for a 22" neck and a 34" chest? No way. My dog is 70 lbs and sleek, not fat. But this just fit him. It's snug, but not tight, so am keeping it. Besides, I got a deal for it, I only paid like $5 so I'm not going to bother returning it. I'd recommend this for a smaller dog only. No way the XL would fit a German Shepard unless that's a puppy. lol. The material is nice though. It's quality. And the style is kind of cute. Hey for $5, you can't really go wrong. That's why I gave it 4 generous stars. It looks cute, it's snug, like a muscle shirt, lol, and it's a bit of a pain to get on and off, but otherwise, it's cute for $5.

Zack & Zoey Tomato Red Two Button Polo Shirt - Medium

I have ordered several of these polo shirts in a variety of sizes and colors. I typically order a medium because my ShihTzu Hampshire and my Shihkingnese Darby both wear a 16" medium. Zack and Zoey are always true to size and they have the best sizing label in the industry. I've never had a problem with their garments--they always fit. I especially love this tomato red two button Zack & Zoey polo shirt--the color simply pops! I also love the classic preppy polo look and the cotton weave. I have ordered look alike brands that have squared hems with side slits, but I find that the cotton weave begins to pill after just one wash. Not so with Zack & Zoey. Zack and Zoey also has a rounded hem that allows for potty breaks without wetting the hem of the garment. This is certainly a plus when you're traveling with your pet family. There is nothing worse than a smelly urine saturated hem with clingy dirt and debris. With the other brand I typically had to carry wet wipes and extra wear to compensate. I have also noticed a slight change in the design of the Zack & Zoey polo. They have increased the collar size from 1.75" to 2". This is definitely an excellent change. The polo is exactly as pictured, and the color is vibrant and eye catching. The garment is 100% cotton and made in China.

Size is REALLY Unpredictable; Had to Send Them Back

Although these shirts are absolutely ADORABLE, they just don't fit, so I had to acquit : ) I sent them back. I bought two MEDIUMS for my two 20 pound Yorkie Poos (it's OK--you can laugh--I didn't think they'd get that big, either). But using the neck to tail measurements, I ordered the size that should have fit them. HOWEVER, in all seriousness, the medium would have actually been a little tight on a fat chihuahua. I really don't know how they've gotten the sizes so off on this cut of shirt. I have two other regular tee shirtsZack & Zoey Polyester/Cotton Cupcake Dog Tee, Medium, Pink andZack & Zoey Polyester/Cotton Doggie Doo List Dog Tee, Small/Medium, Green from the same company (NOT polos) & mediums were perfect fits. But these polos apparently run really, really, small, just as other Reviewers have said. A medium sized dog will need at least a large & maybe even an extra large. Fortunately, Amazon's a great company and the return was not a problem. I truly wish they would have fit, since the colors were great, material & stitching was very good. Just way too small : ( Order at least a size up!

Great quality

This is the third Zack and Zoey polo for my dog. He also has 5 hoodies. The product quality is matched by none-these ate human quality clothing for dogs. His first polo shirt is 5 years old and even though that is our favorite it still looks brand new. Make sure to measure your dog, the measurements they list are spot on and all his items from Zack and Zoey fit the same, he takes a M in zz however he fits a Large in other brands like clothes from petsmart.

Love this brand

I've bought Zack & Zoey clothes for my Maltese and Shih Tzu in the past and I've always liked the brand's sizing. This shirt is for my 4 lb chihuahua. Normally, clothes for her are either too tiny that they look like belly shirts or too large despite the sizing being extra small. This one was perfect for her.

good quality well fitting shirt

This is the third colour of polo shirt I have purchased for my toy poodle. They are well made and show no wear after repeated usages at puppy daycare and out of the laundry. Especially like thst the bottom of shirt is cut lower than the rest so there is some belly coverage for my little girl.

same shirt, different colour, same excellent product

With this bright colour it is very easy to find my toy poodle amongst the crowd of dogs playing at daycare. Takes the abuse of play and repeated washing well. Nice to find clothing that is in colours not gender specific to sex of dog.
