Does what it claims

This supply does what it claims. It makes a number of paper items adhesive. However. It will not make your image glossy. It is best used sparingly, the refills can be pricey. You should practice rolling more than one potential sticker side by side, so as not to waste your adhesive roll. It has worked for me on paper, cardstock, magazine, and I think laminations as well. I haven't had as much use for this as I thought I would, I'm used to reaching for glue, and using this sparingly. However, if replacement rolls are not an issue to you, you can save a lot of time glueing by running them through the adhesive. Yes, the adhesive stays well, and no it is not excessively permanent.

Unpacked- ruined the surprise

It was delivered with just the mail sticker. Of course, this completely ruined the surprise for my daughter since it was supposed to be one of her Christmas presents. The product works well. It was just a real disappointment to received it like that.

Great little machine for home use.

This machine works like a charm, I am pretty happy with the purchase. I notice a lot of the same questions and such popping up, though, so I figured I'd take the time to try and clear some things up for anyone who actually reads through the reviews. So ,what this machine does is it takes whatever you roll through it and adds a layer of adhesive to the bottom of it (covered by peel-back paper). That's pretty much it. While the diameter of your sticker is 5 inches, the length can be quite long since it simply outputs a continuous sheet. Ideally, if you are making small stickers (2 inches, 1 inches) the best thing would be to group them together in a page making program or something like that so you are not wasting the roll on one or two very small stickers. Making them in bulk is more cost efficient. The machine DOES NOT add any sort of matting or laminate to the top of the sticker, so keep that in mind. It doesn't use batteries or power; it's totally operated by a hand crank knob which works fine. It tends to be at it's best when your stickers are relatively simple shapes with broad curves. Complex and detailed die-cuts will probably not work too well because of the way the adhesive sticks to the paper. If you want to make stickers of complex shapes, I would recommend NOT die-cutting the shapes (like in a Silhouette machine or a Cricut) but rather giving them a loose border instead. The important thing to keep in mind about this machine is that the quality of the sticker that comes out of it is wholly dependent on the quality of what you are putting INTO it. It will make perfectly decent, basic, casual stickers with just plain printer paper or craft paper. But if you want really solid stickers, you will have to pick your medium. And, additionally, if you want stickers that can be placed outdoors or on cars or something like that, you will either need to seal your stickers with some form of waterproof matting spray OR use single-sided laminate sheets (which are easy to find in office supply stores). Personally, I have been able to make near-professional quality stickers on this thing using good quality photo paper to which I then apply a laminate sheet. You could also put vinyl through this machine, but most printable vinyl already has adhesive on it, so it's kinda redundant. The "permanent' adhesive rolls are definitely permanent. The glue is very good, about the same as the average sticker you would buy in a store. You can put it on glass if you want, but keep in mind that getting it off will probably require some chemicals or scraping. (if you want to make stickers for glass, you might want to instead try static-cling vinyl sheets). Anyway, it's a great little machine and makes way more durable stickers than the average sticker paper sheets you find in craft stores. Kids will probably love it, and it seems like a very child-friendly machine. Now I'm tempted to buy a slightly bigger model of the Xyron machines.

DO NOT ORDER THROUGH THIS COMPANY the machine is no longer in circulation and has been discontinued since 2012 The aftercare no longer exists The machine is like a kids toys, flimsy and fragile The customer service was appalling. The machine arrived faulty and I made a complaint. The seller was far from helpful to say the least. They were rude and patronising. I had to contact the company in America to finally get somewhere The sellers were lazy and uncaring and simply repeated the same email reply over and over again, there was no real conversation or help. I contacted amazon also which weren't much help either, I had to contact the manufacturer im America and ended up dealing with a company in England who finally sent me an upgrade machine. ABSOLUTELY APPAULED

En achetant cette machine à stickers j'imaginais peut-être plus de choses. Il s'agit d'une machine à action mécanique qui fait en sorte de permettre de transformer un simple papier en autocollant. Le fait que ce ne soit pas électrique en fait un super produit que l'on peut donc confier à un enfant aussi. Si on veut coller de suite, un bon bâton ou tube de colle peut aussi bien remplacer. Si on veut créer un sticker pour plus tard, alors cette machine est la solution. Il faut penser à optimiser le rouleau d'adhésif en comblant des espaces qui resteraient vides. La machine est livrée avec un rouleau d'adhésif permanent d'environ 12 cm de large. Une fois ce rouleau épuisé, comptez environ 17 euros le rouleau d'adhésif de 12,7 cm x 5,5 m (qu'il soit permanent ou repositionnable). Frustration level 10 reached

I liked it until it went wrong, which was so quick that I almost had whiplash. Did a handful of stickers - 5, 6, then boom! Paper/sticky stuff started jamming. Could not fix it, tried it three times and ended up using the whole roll. Tried product support and you tube. You're on your own with this thing. So annoyed it almost went in the bin. Internal debate now as to if I can face buying a refill and that's only because it worked so well with vellum and adding vellum quotes to cards. Mrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Ideal for card making.

I was a little disappointed that only had 10ft of Permanent sticker and when received the film in the machine was very mangled up on the roller before I even used it. After about an hour of sorting that out and losing properly another couple of feet I got it going - so fingers crossed I may have sorted it out. But great machine working well.
