Header wrap wrap review
Used on outside of some header wrap on a motorbike to protect wrap from abrasion and legs from fiberglass. Seems to work for my purpose, but don't wrap exposed exhaust piping because it'll exceed the temp rating and burn the tape. May want to check the spots you want to wrap with a temp gun before ordering.

Wonderful stuff - I keep finding new uses for the Silicone X-Treme Tape daily -- a must have for anyone who repairs things
How did I go so many years without this stuff in my shop, or in my car, or in my backpack? I keep finding new uses for this silicone tape.... for instance, today - I was filling a small spray bottle with bug repellent for my backpack, and I was concerned about the top coming unscrewed slightly causing a potential leak. Well, I pulled out my clear version of this same tape, and wrapped it around the top where it screws on, now I am confident it will hold. Yesterday, my weed-eaters foam grip was cracking and splitting - out comes this 1.5" black Silicone tape to the rescue to provide a new grip for the handle. The day before, my tent pole plastic end cap was not staying on the pole, again, Silicone tape to the rescue. Then, when I was weed-eating my lawn, I noticed my trusty outdoor electrical cord took a hit with either the weed-eater or hedger, and had a couple of chunks of the outer sheathing missing. I used my Xtreme tape (in the Red color to match the cord ;-)) and it has been holding for weeks and about 4 uses, I don't see why it won't hold for a very long time. Next, both my backpacking and camping tent poles have vinyl or plastic ends on the poles - and after time these loosen up, want to come off and worse yet get lost! Well, not only does Xtreme tape fuse the tent pole ends to the pole, it also reinforces them and makes them stronger and more durable... Then, my 20 year old wheelbarrow's wood handles have taken a beating from years in the weather, and they showed a lot of cracking and the wood was very rough. I usually wore gloves when carrying heavy loads with the wheelbarrow, especially since the wood handles were so rough and I worried about getting splinters. I painted the handles with some acrylic latex, and then gave them a wrap with this 1.5" of the black Xtreme tape, and it did wonders. I overlapped the Extreme tape in close windings, so it created a thicker wrap since this was a heavier duty application. I did this almost a year ago, and it has held up fine outside in the AZ heat. I don't store the wheelbarrow in the direct sun, and I think the UV would wreak havoc. Now I feel like I don't need gloves to use the wheelbarrow. And then the big test - my garden hose had a pin-hole leak in it, and I applied this tape to it. The key is to make sure you extend the tape on either side of the hole by a few inches (I did three inches on each side of the hole) - and then make sure you stretch the tape very well and evenly around the hose. Also, make sure the hose is on a flat surface, and try to avoid flexing / bending the hose while taping, keep it as straight as possible. Also, give it at least two windings (not just one). It is working fine, if there are any issues I will update. You get it. This stuff is amazing. Once you wind it on itself it sticks like white on rice. Its resiliency is quite good - it is very tough and it will not come unwound unless you intentionally start to pull on the seam. Then, it will rip instead of lose its contact... it is that sticky to itself. The list goes on.... like I said, I keep finding more uses for it daily. I would say just get a roll, and keep it around. You will be amazed at the number of applications this stuff will satisfy.... an easy five star!! Thanks for reading.

Secured Leaking House Main Water Valve
After a recent severe freeze event (winter storm Uri in Houston, Texas) my neighbor experienced a leak through the body of his main house water shut-off valve. (See pic). Getting a plumber out to fix it was a week away at best ….. Fortunately, I always have a roll of X-Treme tape on hand for unforeseen eventualities. So, after shutting the main water supply off at the roadside utility valve, we taped the valve body with X-Treme tape, then taped over that with duct tape to add some additional mechanical strength, and turned the water back on. (See pic). The plumber is finally arriving later today, and the X-Treme tape has held, with minimal water seepage, for the whole week. Especially impressive since as you can see, the valve body was not a nice smooth easy surface to wrap! Keeping a roll on hand turned out to be cheap insurance to keep the neigbor's house normally supplied with water whilst waiting for a plumber!

Used to seal joints in my Dust collection system
Used to seal joints in my 6" Dust collection system. I installed 6" metal dust collection pipe in my overhead with about a 20 foot run and three 90 degree elbows between the Jet Dust collector and the drops. had 8 or 9 joints to seal. This stuff is great. it's stretchy and sticks to itself. once installed, it's like having a 1.5 inch wide rubber band around each joint. it creates and air tight seal.

Replaces other tapes for outdoor use
Who needs adhesive tapes for split hoses and vacuum cords ? This stuff sticks to itself with a tight/stretchable wrap. Instead of replacing my vacuum cord that got caught up in vacuum roller brush, I simply wrapped about six inches of this stuff in a barber-shop spiral -- that was three years ago -- and it's still holding up perfectly. Doesn't unwrap or come loose after all this time. Works just as well on hoses -- spring a leak ?? just use it the same way using about a 12 inch piece for plenty of wrap area -- no more leaking, and holds up even in hot summer sun. Love it, always keep it in my garage repair kits.

Sticks to itself!
Neat adhesive material that works pretty well but I have had it come loose in some outdoor installations, such as repairing the foam pipe insulation on my HVAC unit. I found that covering with a layer of Gardner Bender 07315001126 LTB-400 Liquid Electrical Tape makes it last longer.

Perfect for pull-up bar grip tape
Used this to wrap metal tubing for a pull-up bar - worked great, and shows no sign of wear two months later after being used nearly every day. If you're using this as a grip surface the most important thing is to keep a consistent tension and angle when wrapping the tape so it doesn't have bulges or extra ridges. It takes a bit if practice, but I got the hang of it fairly quickly.
