If you have a bolt, this will cut it.

This bolt cutter cuts bolts in the bolt-cutting kind of bolt-cutter way that only bolt cutters that cut bolts can cut bolts. So if you need to cut bolts, I suggest this bolt-cutting bolt cutter for whatever bolt-cutting job you have in mind for your future bolt cutter.

Yep, I was able to easily cut a bolt!

I had a bolt cutter that was about 2 feet long and twice as thick, and I was unable to cut a bolt with it. However, I was able to cut the bolt easily with this. I was genuinely surprised.

It got the job done! Comfortable and safe to use.

I’m converting a small Christmas tree into a wall tree on canvas. I used these to cut through the base of the tree which was made of a few braided steel wires twisted together. My wire cutter just wasn’t cutting it! This bolt cutter has long comfortable handles, and a buffer bolt so you don’t smash your fingers if you have to press really hard. I definitely appreciated that!

Compact size

Where I live we get deer and elk stuck in fences along the Hwys. Just needed a compact size to leave in my truck.

Not for barbed wire

Wanted to cut wire with one hand while holding it with the other to keep it from flying around my body. This is not the tool for that.

Easy to use

I am a trailer, we need this to cut seal in front of our customer, very easy to cut the steak off, maybe is still new, should be the same in few years.

Just right size

This size is perfect for cutting spring stock. Much less required force compared to side cut pliers.

Great value, excellent quality!

I purchased this item primarily to take down a chain link fence. The fence was covered in vines and the bottom was covered in soil and stuck to the ground with roots and vines. This tool was an enormous help. It cut through the fencing with no problem whatsoever. I have also used it to cut other pieces of metal and am very pleased with its performance. For the price, it was a steal and saved me hours of work.

Perfect for my needs.

I bought this in order to trim 2.0 mm stainless steel bicycle spokes (and 2 mm of stainless steel is probably about the limit). These spokes are quite tough and just a bit too big for my pliers to deal with. (I once, very foolishly, used my Leatherman to cut a spoke and damaged the cutting edges.) This tool does the job perfectly and without undue strain. As a bonus, it also cuts brake and gear cables cleanly. I imagine it would deal with a 3 mm bolt and certainly wire nails and screws up to about 3 mm in diameter. It will certainly deal with fencing wire and baling wire easily. As long as you are prepared to accept the size limitations, or if your needs are quite modest, like mine, it is a good tool to have. It looks as if it's going to last a number of years. Recommended.

Ease of use

Purchased to cut up some chain link fencing that was now redundant but wouldn't like to attempt anything thicker. They were not expensive but did the job a pair of cable cutters couldn't handle.
