Excellent Timer for lights
Installed easily onto garage wall to control front porch lights. Timer is easy to program with push tabs. 110 Volt AC timer.

Works well.
When my first timer quit working after a year, I tried two other brands, & they didn't work either. However, when I bought this one it worked without issue, & has continued to work for several months. Hope it lasts.

Does what it's supposed to do.
Update: After several months of owning this timer I have grown to dislike it. The biggest issue is that when manually overriding it, it will turn on/off when the next pin position is reached. Hopefully I can figure out a way to remove pins. Also, the pin positions are easily changed by accident while rotating the timer to stop it from overriding the manusl override. The timer does what it's supposed to do. Setting the on/off periods is a bit of a pain but you only have to do it once so it's not a big deal. For the price it's really not a big deal.

Box is a little small
Timer and functionality are easy to use and and diagrams for wiring are clear. Do not recommend for someone with no electrical experience. Box has very little space in bottom for running more than just power. I have a salt system and box got cramped installing all the wiring.

Unreliable
I've been having a problem with another brand of timer even after replacement so thought I would try this one. It looks and feels like a quality product and was relatively easy to install, though the instructions could be more clear. My only real problem is that it is not reliable. After installing to manage my pool pump I noticed that while it does switch on and off at the appointed time, the mechanical switch does not always completely open or completely close. In one case the pool motor started then immediately stopped and about a minute later the mechanical switch finished closing and the motor started again. In another case the switch reached the appointed time and turned off but the pool motor kept running. A slight touch to the manual override "helped" the switch complete its movement to the off position. So it cannot be relied upon to do what it is supposed to do and thus is pretty useless as a timer. Returning it today.

THIS IS A 220VAC TIMER, CLOCK MECHANISM TOO!
This is a well built solid timer....however, the instructions are not so much. The manufacturer evidently makes different models of this timer with some very important differences that are not clearly expressed and are in fact misleading. The information on the plastic placard that covers the wire terminals is to be ignored. I assume this placard is the only one they make for all their models. The placard shows a neutral (normally white) going to terminal "A". This is not correct and the timer will not work correctly if connected as instructed. This will make the timer run off of 110vac and it is a 220vac timer. The timer mechanism will trip the CB when set to turn on because it does not have enough umph to trip the mechanical switch. The wiring instructions included (paper copy) are correct, but again misleading if you don't look at the correct diagram due to the other models also included in the instructions. If you are predispositioned to think that you are supposed to have a neutral wire on terminal "A" this could be easily overlooked (at least by me). This would have gotten a 5 if not for the misleading placard. READ INSTRUCTIONS (the correct one).

Huge energy saver!!!
I live in Canada and so I have 120Volt. Needed 240Volt line in garage so put a Double pole 40Amp breaker with 8/3 Wire running into garage. According to calculations it can carry 40x240 = 9600Watts of power. But according to code i can only put a max load of 80% meaning 7680 Watts on the line. I bought 2 Garage heaters with 3 Heat settings, 3k / 4k / 5k Watt settings. I am running both heaters at 3k Watts so 6k watts total staying below the 80%. Heaters are Comfort-zone 5,000 Watt Industrial Unit Heaters with adjustable Thermostat. The thermostat setting on both heaters is on minimum and heats up my small 22x22 insulated garage very nicely keeping it at 20 Celcius when it is -20 Celcius outside. The heater is not running all the time because once it has reached the desired temperature it auto shuts off. On top of that let me tell you why this switch is awesome. 1. It has gromet holes for wires to come in and be secured. Two at bottom, one on each side and one on the back plate. i like that because it is easier installation and neat installation. 2. The time is very easy to set. 3. The amount of hours you want your device to remain on and off is very easy controlled and you can literally control it 24 hours in a day. So you could have it running half an hour every hour. or however you may decide. For mine I have kept the heater off from 10 pm to 5 am. So when I leave for work at 8 I drive in a nice warm car when it is -20 celcius outside. 4. There is a plastic cover which covers the exposed copper wire which I like it makes you feel safer. 5. Also the enclosed box is pretty cool. and you can probably put a small padlock on it as well for extra safety. Great product. Highly recommended. The money you save with this product you will make in a couple of months by saving on your bill.

Horrible timer
I cannot believe this timer passes UL/CE ratings. This unit failed within two days. The actuator lever is plastic and one of the contacts was not lined up perfectly which caused a gap which resulted in arcing and lead to the plastic melting. Bad design and build at the least, a fire hazard at most. JUNK!!! Returned for refund within a couple of days.
