Connected my small dust collection to this and what a dream. The remote stays clipped to my apron so it's a convenient touch of the button to fire up my dust collector.

Didn’t work out of the box

Came with a dead remote control 2032 battery. Had to get a new one. Packaging is another issue, you have to use a knife, risking cutting a wire, to cut the switch out, since no other ways can take the packaging apart. Unless you have one laying around or willing to make a trip to store, and ok with hard to open packaging, find another product.

Customer Service was terrible--but then stepped up.

I bought this and it worked well during the summer and fall last year. I removed it and stored it in my garage until early April, when I reinstalled it. It worked fine then. But suddenly about twenty days ago it stopped suddenly. The on/off button on main unit doesn't do anything, and it's as though a short or something has occurred. I've tried calling, leaving messages, and writing to their CCI.CONSUMERSUPPORT@SOUTHWIRE.COM address and no reply. My unit falls within the one year limited warranty and I can't get ahold of them! Two days later they called me back and are sending a replacement. Nice woman called. I will add a couple of stars now. I await delivery.

Liked it so much, I bought another

After buying one for the string lights on my deck and loving it, I bought a second for the pendant lights in my deck’s gazebo. The transmitters do not interfere with each other, which I was worried about. The first one was in use for a couple weeks and was rained on multiple times with no problems - the “outdoor power strip” it was plugged into didn’t survive the rain, but transmitter #1 did! Both transmitters are now plugged in inside a waterproof box under the deck, and the remotes still reach them just fine from 40ish feet away through the box, wooden deck, and concrete exterior of my house. Setup is simple, but I’m glad I read the reviews that said to take the plastic tab out of the battery compartment first.

Good Product: BUT FIRST THING To do

You have to PAIR the remote, and the Base Unit - sort of like blue-tooth devices. I was struggling trying to pair the units, until I realized the device ships a battery blocker on on remote. Just slip open the tab on the remote, and look for a tiny clear plastic tab, that blocks the battery while its in the warehouse. Once you remove that tab, you will be able to pair the units. The instructions that come in the package DOES NOT MENTION this, so if you are struggling, this is the answer. All the other people that just say "I paired instantly" were not really helpful. Some people never figured it out and returned the unit. The Base Unit Does not have a battery, only the remote has a battery.

Great remote

Works great to control my overhead lights in the pole barn from a distance. No more need to plug the cord in and out.

This is amazing!

We have a fountain plugged in on our front landscape area outside the front door. The outlet is not controlled by a switch so we have to go out and plug/unplug the fountain every time we want to use it. This is amazing. We plugged the fountain into this and then into the outdoor outlet. I know it’s supposed to be waterproof, but it’s monsoon season so I covered it with a plastic baggy. After pairing the remote with the outlet, we mounted the remote in the garage next to the garage door opener button. So simple. And to think I was going to pay for an electrician to wire the outlet to a switch.

Hasta ahora todo bien, lo utilizo para controlar un recolector de polvo en mi taller. El único detalle es que el mando no tiene clip para colgar a la cintura, solo tiene un pequeño orificio en un extremo para colocar, me imagino, una cuerda diminuta. Tuve que adaptar un clip de un flexometro viejo. Fuera de eso funciona bien.

Woods is a good make, have thermostat from woods as well

I was surprised at the distance the remote worked, easy to install , and not fighting like the other timers tripping buttons for time on. I would recommend woods remote timer

Works great and I pair it with my other one!!! Worth the money.

Great product. If you pair it with another one that is the same. Make sure you have a line of sight so they work together when using the remote.

Haven’t used it yet but all set up. Got it for my vehicle for the block heater and in car heater. Had an older similar one which worked fine.
