Good quality but very wide

Used for large to fix a loose hydraulic line in a Cat skidsteer. Had to trim part of it to get it on the fitting. Held up to enough torque to snug up the fitting. The machine is all metric and I'm not sure if those fittings are supposed to be 1-3/8 or 35mm , but 1-3/8 fit on the hex fine. 35mm would have been too big.

JH Williams SCF40 Crowfoot Wrench Flare Nut, 1-1/4-Inch I have been a wrench bending grease slapper for over 35 years and I have used and abused many tools in my time. Crowfoot Wrenches really take a beating as they are specialty tools to get into places that one could never get to any in any other manner whatsoever. That being said, they tend to get a beating and spread with over use or excess applied force. Pros: This tool the JH Williams SCF40 Crowfoot Wrench Flare Nut, 1-1/4-Inch took some major abuse. I knew that I would ruin it but, the task I had to perform require 500+ pounds of force to break the part loose. The tool is well made, did not drop, did not break or off the extension and did the job that it was intend to execute. 1.> Arrived fast. 2.> Well made. 3.> A very high quality tool. 4.> Performed outstanding under horrific use and abuse. Cons: Please let me clarify that the nature of these types of tool and the abuse they receive in their use is not intended in any manner to reflect on the quality of this tool supplier or manufactures. There are no real CONS in my review because I understand, steel loads, types and the nature tool steel. There is a cost for everything in life and these get the job done at a very low cost. I do keep the old ones for pre-loosen nuts and hydraulic hose coupling and sometime you need two of these too. 1.> All Crowfoots spread over time 2.> They don't not last forever, so if you use them frequently as I do, then you need to have spares on hand or order multiple of the sizes you need to have on hand 3.> 12 PT Crowfoots will slip when over driven; they will spread given the same conditions too. I gave this tool a 5 star rating because it did the job and saved me over $1000.00 USD. I will definitely buy more of these from Amazon and the Seller. I do highly recommend this tool and its seller. I will be using and testing others as my work on Heavy Industrial Equipment continues.

Worked as hoped on a hard to reach nut

I was skeptical about how it would hold up to 125 foot pounds of torque. It performs well. I do feel that it may spread and slip at 200 foot pounds. Use is on a motor home slide mechanism.

Worked for my needs.

Had a hydraulic fitting on my skid steer that was not accessible with a wrench. This allowed me to remove and reinstall the new hydraulic line.

As advertised

This was just what I expected--and needed. The description, as others have stated, shows both 3/8" and 1/2" drive. By now this should have been corrected to indicate 1/2".

Can't handle torque

Bought this for trans-torque bushing on RV slide. Thought the extra points of contact would make it better for applying torque. Was wrong. The wrench kept slipping off the nut with any significant amount of torque applied. I assume the wrench was spreading apart under torque. I used a standard "open end" wrench style crows foot and was successful both de-torquing and re-torquing (145 ft-lbs) the bushing, where this wrench slipped off with less than 50 ft-lbs during first attempts in both directions. Might work under different circumstances, but not in my application.

Quality tool

I am an aircraft maintenance engineer and I work on helicopters. I purchased this tool to reach a hard to reach area on one of the machines. The tool finish was excellent and the fit was also excellent. I felt the price was decent as well as I had compared it to snap on and other tool brands. I also appreciated that I was buying a quality tool made in North America.

Not good for motorcycle fork caps

Bought it to change the fork oil on my EG Ultra Classic. Worked OK for taking the caps off but when trying to torque them on install the crowfoot started to spread and round off the cap.
