good item.. step up from the typical cheap vent.. if you need a slight bend.. this is the one to get.
works great for what i needed it for.. i have it hooked up to a 90 degree elbow and this attaches to the vent here, which is attached to a rigid pipe between our water heater and the wall.. you do have to be patient in putting it around the rigid pipe, as they're almost the same size.. (especially if your plumber doesn't think to give you any room between the pipe and wall!) it's best to get pliers and flatten a small part around the opening.. then gently put it on.. be careful but if possible it makes it easier to put your hand inside the vent to feel where it connects to the pipe.. this prevents squishing of the vent as you push it on.. i also used the clamps that have the twist to tighten thing.. so much easier than a screwdriver to tighten.. I posted pictures of my setup.. o and if you make a mistake, just cut off that part and stretch it out some more.. it stretches out to 5 feet if you need it.. but it comes about 18 inches long.. so only pull out what you need. bends easily but feels strong.. and the air moves through it so much better than the typical cheaper vent.. the guy who wrote about it being too flimsy must have been frustrated at installing it incorrectly or something, because this vent is stronger.. of course it's aluminum so you have to be careful not to tear it or snag it on anything.. just pull out enough for as long as you need it.. the part that remains constricted is very strong as it's basically the braces in line with each other forming a solid piece as in the picture above.. Lastly while i'm here.. learn from my mistake if you have linoleum flooring, especially new.. use coasters for under your dryer feet (washer too if it's not on a sled pan).. I tore a hole in our new linoleum at the back trying to move the dryer back out after a week of being in.. the feet settled into the linoleum and as i turned the dryer, it tore.. thankfully it was only at the back and i was able to seal it back up.. but now we have these coasters under it and they also have furry carpet like covers over them as well.. so i can slide it with ease if i have to move it out.. just thought i'd warn you because my mistake almost created a disaster if that tear would have been up front..

It works for my purpose
The item as others have stated does not come with one end as shown. (See Picture) Both ends are cut to allow some play when inserting over 4” vent tubing from the dryer and the wall. I am now thinking the coupling shown in the picture is just for illustrative purposes as there is no hose clamps included either. My biggest issue with this type of vent hose is clamping onto the back of the dryer vent. Typically the vent has a thin wall and I was afraid if I kept turning the hose clamp it would rip the vent hose or distort the dryer vent so although the hose clamp is fairly tight, I am using the actual tension pressure of the curve to make sure the hose stays in place. As far as the thin material others have mentioned, I found it comparable to hoses I have used in the past. I had to cut about 1/3 of the hose with a band saw so it would curve into the small area but no big deal. The hose I received was a Maytag not Whirlpool but after researching the model number is the same. Again, worth mentioning but not a big deal.

Flimsy, but does the job.
It was hard to stretch this material out without the ends splitting. My recommendation is to buy a couple feet longer than you need so you don't have to stretch the tube ALL the way out. It would probably work at full length, but it's a bit of a hassle. It will turn the 90 degree angle needed to connect directly to dryer.

Very durable and flexible
used to clean out the dryer vent ducting of lint to minimize the drying times and the threat of a duct fire. Our duct runs up vertical then outside through the first and second floors. removed the regular dryer duct at the wall, attached this one and used my gas powered leaf blower. several large trapped lint balls were blown out and the drying times are now shorter.

Easy to use, Faster than big box
I ordered this after being unable to find the right item from Big Orange or Big Blue. The one I bought from Orange was flimsy. There are other options on Orange and Blue's website, but you must buy online and the lead time was longer. This one was great. I bought hose clamps at the store and installed this hose. I don't have a lot of space in my pantry/washroom, so I wish there was a shorter one. I'm sure if I really wanted to, I could have shortened it. But the hose came ready to slide on with slits already cut in it so laziness won out.

Durable dryer vent hose
Well made, less susceptible to folding than others that easily dent or collapse/

Worked a lot better than Home Depot's
I've struggled with Home Depot's dryer vents--but they're like aluminum foil and tear to pieces with little provocation. I bought this olne after reading the description. It is way better--but not quite as stout as I had hoped for. Care still needs to be exercised when cutting and bending. So far it's working just fine.

Bueno
