Don't DIY it if you're not experienced

Manual instructions are bad but fan itself is very good. Parts list is on the last pages. By myself, it took me roughly 4 hours with mistakes and dropping screws to install this. Noise is very minimal at Low, Med/Low, and Med speeds. Only at High speed does it produce some wind noise, not motor noise. I installed it in my living room which is about 300 sqf. Low speed is enough for 100 sqf, then Med./Low would fan up to 275 sqf, and Medium would air as big as 320 sqf room, that's pass my living room. It would help a lot to use a magnetic tip screwdriver cause you would be installing each blade while the motor is already hanging and loosely rotating. This was time consuming and literally pain in the neck. My remote signal is weak cause it takes 5-10 clicks to turn off the light while the dimmer may not be working at all. Fine with me, dimmer is not important. Light is soft white although I'd prefer bright white with soft lumens. Instruction states a 24 hour break in would help tweak in some problems. Remote control looks and feels flimsy. Overall appearance is modern and workmanship is good. Further feedback after 24 hrs. Update: Remote signal got better after 24 hrs. break in.

I love this fan so much!

Yes this fan is a little tricky to install and the instructions aren’t that clear but if you are good at putting store products together you will figure it out. I love that this fan is a reasonable price. We love modern but modern is expensive. This is my second purchase of this fan. I’m slowly changing my fans out. Light is pretty bright for being a dome light. Also you never have to change the light bulb. Like ever!!! It’s a built in bulb that never goes out! These are the best kind of bulbs! The fan has four setting and my husband was soooo worried that it wasn’t going to put off as much air as our old fan. He was super impressed after I showed him. (Our first fan purchase was yanked off the table by a toddler and so it’s performance was affected.). What more could you ask for! Blows good haha, bulb never burns out and reasonably priced (in my opinion).

GREAT fan, wish the light warmth was adjustable.

5 stars if you want warm white light!! I’ve replaced all the fans in my house with this. However! I really wish the LED light had an adjustment for the warmth of the light. It’s VERY warm, so I have actually replaced all the light disks with new ones to get daylight & soft white options.

Good value fan

I bypassed the remote control and have it hardwired to two switches. The build quality of the fan blades isn't great and the fun hums when running, but for the price it's an excellent value.

Nice fan

Overall happy with this purchase. Nice looking fan for the price. Be warned that the fan arrives in many pieces. You have to assemble everything. I thought they sent me the wrong fan because the box was so small. Nope it’s like Ikea style -assemble every piece yourself. Took husband approx 1.5 hours to assemble and he is very proficient with installing light fixtures. The light has kind of a weird color cast but not enough that I would return it. The fan looks nice and modern and overall works well.

Beautiful fixture

This fan looks great in our home. My only problem is that the LED bulb is a warm tone, and doesn’t match normal LED bulbs that have a more cool tone. Looks great after I got over the bulb shades not matching in my home!

Disappointing quality

We bought this fan as an upgrade over the 20-year-old ceiling fan that was in our bedroom when we moved into our new home. There was nothing wrong with the old ceiling fan, except that it was ugly and it hung down quite far from the ceiling and I would have to watch my head when walking past it. I wish we kept that original fan, now that I have this one installed and have lived with it for about 1 month now. I should've suspected I would feel this way from Day 1 of trying to install it. Several quality issues with the equipment hinted as such to me, but I decided to ignore them. For example, one of the 2 set screws that hold the main fan housing secure against the down-shaft was completely seized up. I had to use a friend and a couple of wrenches to loosen it, and then it never screw back in properly. The attached image to this review is of the mounting bracket where it meets the ceiling. This is by far the most frustrating part about this fan. First of all, it's a very flimsy part. Second of all, the 2 screws that hold the fan to the ceiling are even flimsier. In fact, they're the thinnest screws in the entire fan assembly, despite the fact that they are supposed to hold the weight of the fan and ALSO keep the fan from rocking side to side when it spins. Finally, because of the shape of the bracket and the fact that it's curved on the inside, I cannot make the screws tight enough and therefore my fan rocks side-to-side constantly. There's literally nothing I can do except listen to the tick-tick-tick of the fan shaking every night, all night. I've tried screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches ... literally everything to get those screws tighter. The thing is: I thought ceiling fans are not supposed to shake, even if they're not tightly secured to the ceiling? My father-in-law swears this is true and I believe him. So maybe the fan is lopsided. I tried balancing it with the included blade weights and nothing worked. I even tried to tighten different parts inside the fan, and still no result. Anyway, the conclusion of my review is that Westinghouse has fallen a long way from the quality, trusted, American-made home appliances they once made. Buyer beware on this item. Ceiling fans are not something I will ever deal-seek on again.

great fan, nice and quiet

Fan arrived intact, on time. while it was a bit more expensive than others, it had the smallest canopy I could find, which was the only one small enough to fit within my plaster ceiling medallion. it was installed by an electrician, pretty easily within an hour. The dimmer doesn't work (yes I tried the press and hold) but I don't care so much. the fan moves the air nicely, has 4 speeds, and is nice and quiet. It does move a little on its post thing as the fan turns, but it's securely attached so I think it's ok. Very happy to have it, looks nice, and functions as desired.

Excellent Fan, But it hums at faster speeds!

Easy to install. Looks great. BUT, for silence, only the slowest speed is desirable. Once you get into medium and high speed, it hums quite loud. Luckily for me, I only need it to run on the slowest speed. Consider a Hunter brand if you want dead silence.

Assembly and instructions, be patient.

Product is modern and accents our living room well. The light is bright and the fan works great. Problems were putting it together, I've dealt with a lot of questionable and illegible instructions but this one for some odd reason took the cake. Some parts required a lot of fine tuning before being assembled. In all 5 out of 5 for the product, 3 out 5 for the assembly and instructions. On another note, beware the screws become easily stripped or the packaged screw heads need to be filed down to use a Phillips driver.

Good Fan

Looks good. Took some time to get rid of the wobble using the included kit. Never did get it perfect. For the price it's ok.
