My lefty granddaughter can now cut like a pro

My left handed granddaughter struggled to cut with her right hand and trying to cut lefty with righty scissors was not good. These do the trick and she doesn’t ask for my help anymore.

Who knew how much better left-handed scissors would be?

I am right-handed, but have always used scissors with my left hand. I never thought of there being a difference between lefty and righty scissors until my husband pointed it out. It has to do with how the force and leverage are applied to the upper blade. Using right-handed scissors in the left hand sometimes results in paper sliding between the blades when cutting. These left-handed scissors do a better job cutting for lefties because the blades are pressed closer together in the correct way to leverage force. We keep these scissors in the junk drawer in the kitchen and use them for things like opening packages, cutting bands from produce, and snipping up paper receipts. I haven't tried them on fabric, but they look like they would be good for that, too. My only gripe is that it took a month for them to arrive, but that has nothing do with how great the product has been.

Left handed scissors that work

I have used left-handed scissors in the past and not had much luck with them. This is the first pair that actually makes a difference and I can stop struggling to cut things.

Not true left handed scissors

I will say they are sturdy, however, in order to cut properly, (since these scissors are not true left-handed scissors), you end up holding them backward, which defeats the purpose. They would be comfortable, if the cutting orientation was correct. Good thing they were inexpensive. Now going into the "junk drawer" for cutting "anything".

Very good TRUE left handed scissors, made just for your left hand. Many scissors say right and or left handed but it's not the same, the blades on those are still orientated for right hand use. If you're a "lefty" get a pair of these. they are comfortable to use and cut with ease.

Left handed Awesomeness

These are made the way my 1st pair of left handed scissors were made (50 years ago) and they cut so so nice. So much easier to use than what you get in the store that say they are left handed. It's in the way the blades are put together. I love them and am thinking of buying another pair just to have on hand.

finally leftie scissors

its funny that sometimes i pick it up and use it with my right hand. i finally have leftie scissors but i cant even use them properly. i bought them because my right hand started to hurt especially with particularly difficult to cut objects. its just going to take some getting used to. very nice quality glad i went for a more expensive model. will probably last longer and has a nice look to it
