Quality, Compact, Flexible System
The Wera Vario system is very nice. I first got it because it was very compact way to have a large assortment of quality drivers in my tool bag and a great way to keep them organized. I enhanced this package with Roberson (square) bits in the Vario line, 1/4 drive extender, standard bit extender, and ratchet handle. I have a couple other handles in case I'm using several different drivers at once. It has worked great. The system does have one inherent limitation that can get you; the shafts are all a uniform 6mm (7mm across edges) so if a screw is recessed in a hole/well then the shaft may be too large to fit in the well to access the screw; say for a Phillips #1 or 4mm slot screw. In this regard I can see why the Xcelite drivers were favored in the past by electronic technicians and engineers, with long single ended bits on variable sized shafts, they did not have this issue. I probably won't carry a Xcelite 99 set as I have several ratchets and other components for hex drive, but I keep my 99 set handy at home. My solution will likely be to add a few long 3"+ bits for hex drive. I use the Xcelite system still to carry a wide range of stubbies, although I also have Wiha stubby handle and ratchets for hex bits, which usually work for stubby applications. I really like how compact this system is, I leave a Phillips bit and a slotted bit in handles for quick access to 4 bits, and have have the case still more than full with the original set of bits and a couple additions. That's a lot of versatility in a small convient package. I still carry an full set of 1" hex-bits in a small kit with extenders and what not, but the bit connectors have the same access problem (worse) than the Vario so they can't solve the access problem that requires a narrow shaft for a small sized fastener. This set/system is highly recommended with the above caveat.

High quality, hard to find.
A coworker stumbled upon a Wera screwdriver almost 30 years ago. Shortly afterwards, I bought one and to this day, we haven't found a screwdriver that fits the screw head so well. As a result, it is easier to remove and secure tight screws. They are not easy to find in stores (price maybe?), but worth the effort and cost to find - it is a high quality tool that will last a LONG time. The case is well made and has a belt loop on the back, but it is just a nice accessory for me.

Excellent quality
I wish it contained PH3 and Square Drive/Robertson bits. Other than that it’s been awesome, the bits don’t slip out of Phillips screws.
