Best handle I have, beats snapon, craftsman, wera, et. al.

The handle is perfect. It has recesses that my fingers and palm key into, and feels like I get a better grip than any handle I have (I've been giving my son my worn out snapon, craftsman, etc.). The grip is perfectly finished, too, unlike the craftsman (countless defects I can feel) or wera (a few mold tags, not bad). I just bought laser tip and diamond tip screwdrivers from wera and craftsman. While the crescent was cheap in price, the handles were higher quality. The tips appear perfectly formed, and the diamond grip looks thoroughly coated. I have three brands of diamond tips right now, but haven't used them yet enough to have an opinion. My first impression is that diamond tip is going to strip fewer screws and not wear down as fast. I can say, anecdotally, that carbide tips grip better and strip fewer screws than chrome or titanium coated. I need to test them side by side, but the diamond has the potential to grip better than carbide. I saw a guy on youtube cut off diamond tip craftsman and prove that they don't wear out anything like normal tips.

Used to be the best screwdrivers available.

My old set of these drivers beat any other brand, even the expensive ones like Snap-on and Wera. If you are on the fence about diamond tips, you will be in love. They stick in the head better and are more forgiving if you can't get perfectly lined up. After my first purchase I threw away all of my non-diamond drivers. The handle allows for much more grip strength. I am vision challenged, so I could see at a glance which screwdriver I was getting with Red and Blue. Craftsman figured this out recently and improved their excellent all-grey screwdrivers with diamond tips. Craftsman added blue and red bits on the bottom. It was not enough distinction for me, so I rattle-can painted them. I ordered more Crescent and the contrast is gone! I am told they are orange and grey now with much less attractive packaging. Maybe orange and flat line is your thing. It wasn't for me. I don't need to spend time closely examining my tools to figure out where they go.
