Works great!!!
I read up on different wood splitters prior to purchasing the wen splitter. I found it to be a great working machine. I split oak, alligator, fir and Aspen. It splits what it's rated at and then some. I put it on the stand that's supplied myself with no problem. Just tip splitter upside down and install the stand the tip upright. I find the stand to be just fine and sturdy enough for use with no worries. I use stand on different hard surfaces. The stand makes it easy for the height. Stand isn't meant to be drug around on rugged ground with it's small plastic wheels and it's weight. It can be done but not very easy in ruff surface. I use mine in wood shed with wood floor and roll it on pavement into shop and through verly packed gravel on my property with no issues. I use the foot pedal aswell because it frees up a hand to hold wood to guide it at first if need be and makes operating more of a breeze for me. Most all splitters are two handed operation for safety reasons so the foot pedal makes it a one handed operation. Works fine with or whith out the pedal. If you want side guides to keep wood from falling on ground when split it is fairly simple to create your own with a little creativity. I find the wen wood splitter to be a great machine for my personal use. I have only had it for a couple months and I split over a cord of multiple types of woods and I have no issues once so ever and I'm very pleased with it's operation and overall build.

The Wen momentary foot pedal is just what I needed, for my thumb switch angle grinder.
I have two angle grinders. One has a palm switch, and that's set up for cutoff. My other angle grinder is set up for grinding, and it has a thumb switch. Well, the thumb switch is so hard to turn on and off, I was about to toss that angle grinder in the trash and buy a more expensive one with a palm switch. But then I thought, "Duh! Just get a foot switch for the power!". So I bought this Wen momentary foot pedal. It works great !

Third hand you need
Like the title says this little thing is handy. I use it for my bench grinder, and band saw. When I don’t want them running constantly while I’m working, or when I get set up to do something tedious and do not want to disrupt my position and placement. It’s not cheaply built at all. I have a few WEN products and honestly have been impressed with all of them. They are affordable and durable order 2 or 3 if you decide to buy it. I think everyone should have at least 2 in every standard work shop. Comes in a lot handy than you think.

Cord length
It should have at least 8 feet of cord. YMMV

Does what it’s supposed to
I use this to control a pump I water my plants with. I thought I’d burn the pump out if it was running but not pushing water. This solved the problem. Works perfectly.

Works perfectly with my wood splitter!
Got a Yardworks 5 tons Wood splitter from Canadian Tire. I simply stock the push button with a piece of Wood and a tie wrap. Plug the bedal at the end of the wire and it was good to go! So much easier to work with it now!

Works great.
Feels solid for the size and the chord is long enough. I have an angle grinder I use for wood sculpting on a workbench and this lives there permanently now. The pedal is a must for grinder safety if your tool has a thumb switch (in my case Milwaukee grinder) and you’re setup on a bench like me. Feels like a true 15amp circuit as I do some pulsing with the tool and I’ve had zero issues.

Great little foot switch
I was expecting much out of this little guy. I bought it as a foot controller for an apple cider garburator. I also use it for my firewood splitter. It's a great little unit that holds up to a little water/dirt just fine. I may mount it onto a piece of wood just to give my foot more purchase, but it has been great

worth the investment.
I received it this afternoon and had to test it right a way as I was doing some scroll saw work at the time. It is so nice just to step on the pedal and your machine starts working take your foot off the pedal and it stops. I use them on the machines in my workshop like the drum sander - a 14" big bandsaw - a scroll saw. I know that I've only had it for a few hours now but very happy with them. The price is a good selling point.

Momentary 15-amp
Product seems well built however I was surprised to see that after I received the product, it is listed as momentary 15-amp, not constant. Be mindful. I used it for some light-duty work and had no issues. Am confident that if I was to use it for a higher-rated product, this products performance will degrade.
